I love working downtown because there are SO many awesome lunch options. Everyone in the office had been talking about this place. I looked up their menu and was just kind of like meh. However, one day some colleagues dragged me there to pick something up. I was very impressed! They have a wide variety of options from soups, salads, sandwiches, quiches. I normally opt for a salad, or their lunch special: soup and half a sandwich. I have had almost every salad, but my favorite is the cobb. Everything is so fresh and crisp. Their house made dressings are delicious. The salad sizes look small at first glance, but they are the perfect amount! They normally have a Soup of the Day. They have all been delicious. Lately, they have had this one, and I can never remember the name. It is basically pureed sweet potato and pumpkin. I LOATHE sweet potato and pumpkin. However, this soup is absolutely delicious! It has been chilly the past week and i have gotten the soup twice. Their sandwiches are made on fresh french baguettes that are so yummy! I opt for the milano, which has mozzarella, prosciutto, basil, and tomatoes. They warm it up so the cheese is melty and the meat flavor drips into the bread! They aren’t super fast, but they don’t take forever! I have eaten there and taken it to go. Never had any problems. Their prices are a LITTLE high, but it is downtown and their ingredients are so fresh and delicious. I want to hug this little french spot, it is so good!

If you work in the downtown area this place is a perfect lunch spot. I had met my daughter for lunch and she loves coming here so we walked over. It’s not very big inside, small dining area and if you are lucky enough you will beat the lunch crowd as we did and got a seat with no issues. They carry sandwiches, salads, Panini’s and also breakfast items. They have a walk up counter where you place your order and pay and if you dine inside they give you a number to take to your table. Service is very friendly and they do a great job getting your lunch to you in a timely manner. My daughter and I both chose a salad which was super fresh, grilled chicken with all fresh ingredients. The salad dressing I believe was homemade and it came with a small piece of a delicious baguette. The salad was a good size, very filling. Ladies from her office sat next to us and they had ordered half a sandwich and a soup that looked so good. I saw sandwiches come out and oh did they ever look awesome. Our server who brought out our food was friendly and asked if we needed anything else. They even serve some beer and wine which makes for an even better lunch. If you work or are in the area this is a fabulous spot to grab a great lunch. Very clean inside and a modern chic feel atmosphere.

Lunch time at downtown. Great place very clean. I took the soup of the day. My husband tried hot baguette sandwich he loved it. They also served vegetarian sandwich that is great too. Next time I will come back for the breakfast because the menu sounds good.

I don’t frequent this business as much anymore. They could use some new menu items and soup flavors, and some new salad dressings.

Ate lunch here recently and tried to order the daily special with half soup or salad which is listed on the menu for $ 8. Was told that to get the special, it would be $ 16. I was told that for $ 8 I could get half sandwich with soup or salad but not the special(these are both listed separately on the menu as options). I asked why it couldn’t be the special and she explained it just could not. I asked why it was listed on the menu for $ 8 but she had to charge $ 16, there was no clear answer. It seemed a manager overheard this confusion but did not step in to help or clarify. The food is fine here, but they obliviously need help with training staff and customer service.

I rarely write reviews, but the food at Cane A Sucre is simple yet amazing. If your looking for a nice change that reminds you of a simple homemade lunch then this place is for you. Best of all the prices are very reasonable. I just needed a quick lunch to go so I ordered the ½ sandwich & soup special. Soup was fantastic. Carrot & pumpkin with cilantro. Fresh and great flavor. Reminded me of my father’s homemade carrot soup. The sandwich was the salmon on wheat baguette. Description seemed pretty basic but the baguette was out of this world! Freshest I’ve had as long as I can remember. It made the sandwich perfect!

I finally got the chance to enjoy a quick lunch at Cane de Sucre and found myself impressed. First, know this place does a booming workweek lunch business. Luckily for us first-timers, we arrived before the midday rush. I was immediately drawn to the $ 12 tuna steak sandwich and eventually ordered it as a salad for a few dollars less instead. Make that two plus a perrier for a measly $ 21+$ 5 tip = downtown lunch time win!!! I was very pleased with the polished service, which kept the casual feel of the establishment while ensuring knowledgeable professionalism. The dining area is fairly large but packed and you can tell they do an impressive takeout and catering business. The menu is the perfect size with interesting and accessible selections. I hope to try the veggie sandwich and/or soup at my next visit. Bottom line: excellent choice for downtown business lunch at a reasonable price

I grab take out from here about once a week. I’ve tried most of their sandwiches and their salads. All of their sandwiches are tasty and their salads are generous. The staff has gotten to know my name so once I walk in to pick up my food, they see me and make the transaction super quick and pleasant. Bottom line, the food is very good, the service is even better, why else would I keep coming back!!! P. S. their croissant is legit.

Cane A Sucre is an absolute gem in downtown in Miami! Great customer service and great food make this an excellent spot for lunch. Located just a stone’s throw away from the County Courthouse, Cane A Sucre offers a delicious lunch menu for a very, very reasonable price. I came here on a Monday afternoon. I just happened to stumble upon this place when I was walking around looking for somewhere to have lunch. The restaurant itself doesn’t stand out much from the outside, but the inside is very inviting and beautifully decorated. Everything from the floors, to the artwork, to the furniture, to the dishware give the décor a super trendy feel. Now, for the food. The soup of the day was roasted tomato with pesto which sounded delicious; so I ordered that along with the half of a club sandwich and a diet coke. I expected to receive a small bowl of soup like when you order the«You Pick Two» soup and half sandwich from Panera Bread. Much to my surprise, the waitress brought me a full sized bowl of the roasted tomato with pesto soup… and I’m so glad she did because it was the best tomato soup that I’ve ever had. It was creamy, but light; filled with flavor, but tame. The pesto not only added a unique flavor, but a nice design to the elegantly presented dish. The club sandwich was excellent as well. It was served warm with the bread perfectly toasted and the bacon the absolute right amount of crispiness(and this coming from the only person on earth that’s not a huge fan of bacon). All of the ingredients were fresh and the meal left me with such a happy feeling in my tummy. All of this great tasting food for only $ 10 too. Not bad at all. I’m not a huge fan of the downtown Miami area because it is so congested, but I would most definitely, without a doubt go out of my way to eat here again. I would suggest that you do too.

Best part of jury duty was finding this spot. I had the vegetarian sandwich on a wheat baguette and the veggie cream soup. Super delicious and fresh!

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots downtown. Their bacon scramble sandwich is perfect for a day when I know I will probably work through lunch. It’s huge, and around $ 4 – 5. Such a bargain for a big egg sandwich on a baguette with cheese and bacon. I also like Cane a Sucre for lunch. They have tasty sandwiches and salads, and their cookies are the crunchy on the outsides and soft in the middle(perfection). I’d skip some of the desserts in their display case. They look better than they taste. I wish they delivered, or used one of the local delivery services for days when I can’t get down there from my office. Overall, though, this is a fantastic addition to downtown.

I’m here for lunch once or more per week. Service is really impeccable. Soups, salads and sandwiches are always fresh and very tasty. All for about $ 10. If it looks crowded, order at counter and a table will open by the time you’ve ordered. Equally good is Rigatti 1.5 blocks south. Also, La Loggia.

This is one of my favorite places in Downtown Miami for lunch. I’ve tried several of their hot baguette sandwiches and soups and they never disappoint. My favorites are Le Pollo and El Cubano(warning: it’s not your typical cuban sandwich, but it is a very tasty twist of one). I usually get the lunch special which includes a half sandwich and full size soup. All the soups I’ve tried are creamy and delicious. I also rank their burgers among the best in Downtown Miami(now that Filling Station is gone). I especially like El Español which combines organic Harris Ranch beef and imported Chorizo to make one heck of a tasty patty. It’s topped with whipped goat cheese, roasted garlic, and roasted red pepper-oregano chutney. It all combines for an explosion of flavor in your mouth you soon won’t forget.

DOWNTOWNLUNCHSPOT Just across the street from the being renovated Miami Dade Courthouse, it’s clientele is a bit more fashionable. Popular items and best bargins are their soup and sandwich combos or their salads. Also their beef burger is one of their signature entrees. Portions will definitely keep you slim and trim while allowing you to stay awake during the afternoon behind the desk or in court. No table service but a runner will deliver your order to your table. It’s always very crowded, but tables do turn.
