The food really good! One of the better fritangas I’ve had. The only thing I would change is the seating inside. There isn’t much place to sit.

The carne asada is so flavorful and go great with the rice and beans. I didn’t try the tortillas but I will next time. For $ 8 a meal, this is a great place to get food and the portions were great.

I broke my diet today with some deliciously made Nicaraguan food. While I AM trying to be healthy, I cannot stay away from Gallopinto THAT long. I have been coming here for years and this is why I love Miami. I love it here because it is not so expensive like the Fritanga in Doral and they also serve enough food for two! For people who want authentic Latin American dishes need to get out of the touristy areas. My usual platter consists of carne asada, gallo pinto, queso frito, and maduros accompanied with cacao(a milk chocolately drink). Honestly, this is heaven for me. However, if you’re claustrophobic and cannot stand disorder I do not recommend this plaza. It is really difficult to find parking and there’s traffic because the customers are loyal. Plus, the food is undoubtedly amazing and finger licking good.

The food is pretty traditional BUT the customer service is really –5 stars. Terrible. It’s a hassle to check out of there because it’s always packed. You have to fight to get seats so I recommend that you take your food to go. The woman there are all in their own little word or chatting with each other. You have to yell to get their attention and when you finally do, they ask you rhetorical question like who served me & once you tell them, they go to the person, take another 5 minutes to ask what I got then 5 more to cash me out. I just want my food & get out. Whoever manages, needs to have a better system when it comes to customer service. Unfortunately, it’s the only place to get Nica food for the cheap but I dread going in. It’s either this or Pinolandia.

It’s ok I’d say, it’s small always packed not too many choices on the line for food. Thee plate it’s $ 8 for rice meat and a side of maduros.

Excellent food. Carne Asada made right there and not in bulk to serve like other places. Fresh. Parking is a mission though. Go there with patience. Overall great food and service.

This place is bae. I could eat here every single day of the week. My roommate introduced me to it, and I’ve been going almost twice a week since, as its some of the best food I’ve eaten. The carne asade is amazing, the queso frito is life. I’ve never had Nica food until I came here and it has changed my life forever lol.

Best Nicaraguan food in town!!! So delicious. I always get gallo pinto with carne asada and sweet plantains, aka platanitos maduros! You must not forget the side of fried cheese if you’re really in the mood to stuff your face lol. This isn’t a nice sit down restaurant or somewhere you want to be for too long. It’s always super packed. My 5 stars are solely for the food.

I’m not sure if I just went on a good day but if they stay consistent this is the best Nica food i’ve had in a while. I ordered carne asada, gallopinto, maduros and fried cheese, enjoyed every bite. Will definitely go back and most certainly recommend!

Came here on July 4 for lunch to go! This place was pretty packed. The shopping center looks a little run down but don’t let that fool you. This place is good, the portions are big. I had the carne asada and it was good the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The gallo pinto rice was great. Maduros, the cabbage salad, queso frito and the spicy sauce was alright there has been better in nearby places.

I would like to agree with all the five star reviews, but unfortunately, I cannot. I came here on a Friday night because my friend wanted a cup of Raspados Loly, and the line was long. Probably the longest line I have ever seen at a fritanga, so it gave me high expectations. «What’s up with this long line?,» I thought. But unfortunately, the long line did not represent grand quality. I ordered vigoron(cabbage and tomato salad with yucca and chicharrones), and the yucca was dry and the chicharoones were stale. They also did not give me enough cabbage and tomato salad, so the proportions were totally off. It was a bit disappointing. I think this place excels with its other menu items, but try to not order the vigoron. You may end up disappointed like I was.

Heaven [ hev-uhn ] noun 1. the abode of God, the angels, and the spirits of the righteous after death; the place or state of existence of the blessed after the mortal life. 2. Carne Asada Tortilleria Nicas This place is offering a variety of inexpensive Nicaraguan fare of excellent quality and taste in enormous portions. What else do you need to know? Right, you need a recommendation. Here’s what I like to get: carne asada, frijoles molidos(refried beans,) a tortilla, and cuajada(fresh milk curd.) All meals come with a cabbage salad if you opt for it(which you should) and their spicy sauce(take that too.) Take a cacao or an horchata drink also and prepare to be enlightened.

Tucked away in the shopping center named Centro Comercial Managua and hiding under a banner that reads Carne Asada Tortilleria Nica, you will find possibly the best fritanga in Miami. Actually, the name fritanga is a disservice to this establishment. This is more like a supermarket of Nicaraguan food, very similar to the hot food counters at Whole Foods or The Fresh Market but less glamorous and with the added benefit of desserts, pastries, breads, tortillas, cheeses, natural juices, drinks and long distance calling cards to Central America. The food at Carne Asada is not only delicious, but it is very plentiful and fits the strictest budget. All the servings are very tasty, starting with the gallo pinto which is cooked to perfection and outstanding. Every order comes with coleslaw salad and a side of plantains, plantain chips or tostones. Also, you could add a fried cheese(queso frito) to your order making it a gigantic meal that two people could easily share. You will be surprised to find that this is more than a traditional fritanga. Along with the more popular dishes, like carne asada, carne deshilachada, puerco asado and nacatamales, you will find fried fish, fish in a stew, chicken stew, tongue stew, escabeche like foods and soups, along with other traditional Nicaraguan dishes that I have yet to try. This place has variety. Ordering goes at a slow pace most of the time since there is always a long line of customers waiting to be served. Also, if you are like Reese Whitherspoon and you think that your American citizenship will pull some strings for you, well, this is a predominantly Spanish speaking establishment, so ordering in English could turn into a nightmare really quick, although, you may feel at ease thinking that you are at a Nicaraguan hub. If you can’t get over the language barrier, good luck getting your lawn mowed. Besides language, parking could be a big problem also if you want to use the parking lot. I recommend parking on the street, you will have no problem getting off from your car and enjoying the delicious food. If you are able to manage these two obstacles, you will be rewarded. Trust me on this one.
