Cascades at the Hammocks

I have lived here from 2 years, everything is good. My husband & I love this place and the surroundings. The leasing manager & one of the leasing office are good. There is one more leasing officer she is the most arrogant rude ill mannered stubborn lady I have met till date. She doesn’t give complete information, later we ask her she speaks very badly, as the property belongs to her and by renting us she is doing a favour. Luckily, I moved from this apt a week ago. Hope the management takes some decision about this lady. Later we checked with our neighbors, everyone has the same problem withher.

I do not live nor have I ever lived at Cascades, but as someone who was considering it, I do not recommend it. We went for a viewing of their model apartment and decided to apply. Unfortunately we discovered an issue with a previous rental community (had to end a lease early after our daughter passed away and needed to move back to Miami) and because of this, we were denied, although our income is well beyond what they need for someone to pay the rent. They rely solely on a computerized system and show no flexibility. They kept the $ 150 we had to pay to apply and while they returned the money order for the deposit, they wrote their name on it right away, so it was a huge mission to try and find a place that would give us our money back (Thank you, Amscot!) The woman who attended us didn’t even bother to read us the secondary option listed on her application denial letter, which states we could pay an additional deposit (which we might have had she not told us that we were rejected). We would have been good tenants but instead were ripped off. No, thanks.

DO NOT RENT HERE! I been living here for 3 months and its been very disappointed. The apartments are kept very bad maintenance. The kitchens are horrible! OLD, very old cabinets and draws. The bathrooms have mold! and everything is outdated! They will show you an apartment of 2 bedrooms, nice and decorated! They will tell you is the same but without the decorations and wall paint. They do this so they can sell. I was not shown my apartment because it was not ready at the time. So, I asked to see it but they refused! I trusted the lady. once i signed the contract, she showed me the apartment. I was crying! im serious, the kitchen is sooooooooo SMALL and old! you feel like you cooking in shelter. I will attach picture of what I’m talking about.
Do not let the outside fool you, Location is great, but very mad maintenance.
