The Center for Visual Communication is one of the best art exhibition galleries in Miami. Nestled in the burgeoning Wynwood Arts District, it has put on some memorable shows in its large space since 2007. During Art Basel ’09, they featured art by Miami Master Darby Bannard, one of the founders of minimalism, as well as large scale installations by Guerra de la Paz and Teresa Diehl, and featured a live performance by New York’s Disco Monkeys. Previous shows have included icon Robert Rauschenberg, Mike Cloud, and Clarence Laughlin. The Center is constantly presenting new shows and live programs, open to the public on week days and Saturdays, so check out their website for the current show.
