I ate at CheeseMe just because it is one of the few trucks in my area I have not tried. Also I wanted to see if the cost was justified but alas it was not. 6 dollars for a grilled cheese is ridiculus. It was just a normal grill cheese just like I make at home. The McShane is priced at $ 12 bucks! Add a side of sauce and that price is bumped to $ 14. I mean really? I don’t think so.

Wrote this on 9÷16÷11, but just found it! Seriously? So perfect I have no words. The line last night at UM was very long, but worth the extensive wait. While I didn’t get their names, the men working were extremely friendly and efficient. I did the make your own grilled cheese rather than ordering something off the menu, and I do not regret that despite hearing some wonderful things! I ordered the country sourdough bread with vintage cheddar($ 6), truffle mayo($ 2), and the tomato bisque($ 4). I thought that it was fairly reasonably priced for how much you get. The sandwich was massive and I couldn’t finish more than half of it(my waistline must have been happy), and the soul bowl was not small by any means. I also had trouble finishing this because of it’s richness and how full I had become! It may make sense to share with someone. The truffle mayonnaise was a nice touch to the crispy, thick-cut bread and loaded-on aged cheddar. It was a magical experience. While your pancreas will sure not thank you, it will get over it. It’s magical enough to take a chance!

The McShane was okay. Not bad, but not something that make me want to try more. The texas toast just doesn’t hold up and ends up soggy.

I’ve been lucky enough to catch the CheeseMe truck for lunch in Downtown, when I’ve been brave enough to battle the searing Miami heat to grab lunch in Bayfront Park. CheeseMe offers a wide selection of pre-determined grilled cheese combos, but also lets you pick your faves for a creation of your own. That’s exactly what I’ve done — a hot and gooey grilled cheese on texas toast with cheddar and pulled pork please! At $ 9 it’s a little pricey, but the sandwich is so huge, that I can understand the price point. But the prices are a little high considering you’re purchasing your lunch out of a truck with no discernable place to sit(aside from the grass). But the 4th star of my review comes purely based on the awesomeness known as mac-and-cheese pancakes. Yes, it’s $ 4 for 2, but have you had these little discs of deliciousness? If not, you better get out there and get some! The portions really are so large that you’d be able to split the mac-and-cheese pancakes and a grilled cheese of your choice(plus drinks) for about $ 15. CheeseMe is definitely worth a try, and worth repeat visits for those mac-and-cheese pancakes, no doubt!

I attended the Gourmet Truck Expo in Boca this past week, and it was my very first experience with food trucks. I was excited to try stuff from different places, and when I saw someone walking away with an amazing-looking sandwich from this place, I had to check it out. The line was incredibly long, but it seemed to be moving quickly… I must have been imagining that, however. My dad managed to go to three different trucks in the time that I was in line. Let me put it this way… the sky was still light when I got in line, yet it was pitch black by the time I had that sandwich in hand. I waited over an hour for a grilled cheese… and can I just say, I make a damn good grilled cheese at home. So I ordered from the truck what I usually make: sourdough bread with vintage cheddar. I was going to try it with bacon, but that was an extra $ 3, and I just wasn’t willing to pay for that. When I finally got my sandwich, it was decent… I would’ve been happy with it had I ordered it in a diner. However, by the time I got my order, the other food trucks I wanted to visit had closed up because they ran out of food. I felt robbed of my food truck experience by this sandwich. Was it worth the hour-long wait? Absolutely not. Is it their fault? No, they were really busy. I get it. But I learned a hard lesson about priorities… and I need to stick to ordering stuff I can’t make at home.

BESTGRILLEDCHEESE I’VEEVERHAD… EVERRR. I opted for the build your own and had the: Rye with Cheddar $ 6 and added Portobello Mushrooms + $ 2 = One happy girl! –1 Star because tax isn’t included in the already outrageous price. Seriously…I’ve had dreams about this sandwich. Get it.

Easily one of the better food trucks you can find in Miami. The food is great and the people there are friendly as well. Everything on the menu looks so good… it’s hard to pick something when people are lining up behind you. Now…I never got a grilled cheese sandwich. I chose to go with the Kobe burger with onions and american cheese. It was amazing. Amazing. The burger smelled so great as you bring it to your mouth. And then you bite in, the melted cheese and the juicy burger explodes with taste. They cooked it to a medium, which is always great. The bun was so greasy and buttery, but so warm and soft. Also had to get a Short rib slider to try it. The short rib slider was pretty small though. I wish it was a little bigger, but it was packed full of meat. The meat was real tender but wasn’t as flavorful as I had hoped. It could have used a little more seasoning. I will definitely need to look for this place everytime I’m in Miami. Definitely worth the price you pay to get some.

CheeseMe Mobile has finally given me a healthy outlet for my stalking abilities. My ex-boyfriends can relax for a bit. Since my first taste at the St. Patrick’s Day truck rally, I have become obsessed with figuring out when they will be in my neighborhood again. First, the mac n cheese pancakes were surprisingly tasty appetizer. You get two pattys that look like pancakes on the outside but the inside is good olé fashioned mac n cheese with nutmeg and all. I recommend sharing this with someone so you can order more items from the menu. Second, I had a pulled pork slider because they were out of the short rib. I love that this truck has more than cheese sandwiches to offer, particularly since I’m fond of mini sandwiches! The pork was well seasoned and delicious — so worth the calories! Lastly, I finished with a Texas Toast Grilled cheese with cheddar. My friends ordered other verstions of grilled cheese — with bacon and gruyère or blue cheese and I know they enjoyed theirs? How do I know? because the only sounds you could hear from our group were moans. A few days later I sampled the menu from a compete cheese sandwich truck, whose menu didn’t have the same diversity of food. I’m hooked on CheeseMe — so let the stalking begin.

It’s a good thing this truck doesn’t park in my neighborhood, or I might put on an extra 10. You see, I LOVE cheese. Love is an understatement. I adore cheese, and in particular, I adore grilled cheese sandwiches. Yes, this food is greasy. And yes, it’s not cheap … but it’s SODAMNGOOD. I had the Texas toast with two cheeses(which two escape me at the moment) and I devoured every last bite. It was everything I had hoped it would be. Now they just need to add a meatless Monte Cristo to the menu, and I’d be in cheesy heaven. :)

The secret to attending food truck courts is to get as many friends as you can to come with you, that way you can mooch of their food and get a tiny sample of everything! That’s why I headed for a different truck once I saw all my friends hitting up CheeseMe. The wait was pretty long to the point where I was already done with my food from Sakaya before they got their sandwiches. Thankfully, they were all welcome to share so I could continue munching and not just stand around. I tried the McShane that had more meat on it than I would have expected. It was definitely a lot to handle and rather messy but worth the sacrifice. My other friends got the American that came with such a large amount of tomato soup that they said was good. My favorite sandwich I tried was the BCT… There’s nothing like bacon and cheese. On the side, we munched on their thin fries that I found surprsingly delicious. The mac n’ cheese pancakes definitely took home the prize. We couldn’t stop debating on what kind of cheese was holding those noodles together. The price is rather steep compared to other places but you definitely get big portions that make it worth the money. Just make sure you come hungry and be preapred for a food coma afterwards. I would definitely say this beats other grilled cheese trucks I’ve tried.

So while we waited for our McShane Sandwich(One of the best things you will ever put in your mouth, consisting of soft warm buttery texas toast bread, overflowing with pulled pork, cheddar cheese, and coleslaw) to be ready, we ordered the tomato bisque, which was really good and creamy, served with mini crackers for that perfect crunch, and hit the spot on this chilly evening. I felt we were on a roll with all the delicious offereing of Cheese Me, so we ordered the fresh cut french fries, with… wait for it… TRUFFLEMAYO. They were out of control good, everything was, 5 stars in my book!

No restraining order yet, phew! When I first got word of a truck rollin’ around Miami serving up grilled cheese I about had a heart attack and immediately started stalking said truck. THEN, when I saw that their menu had the«Americana” – American cheese on Texas toast with a side of tomato bisque – well, the Catholic school girl in me jumped for joy! Anyone who knows me, knows that a meal of grilled cheese and tomato soup would likely be my last meal of choice. I had sent several messages to the poor fellas at CheeseMe Mobile requesting(begging) that they make it to Broward so I could hit ‘em up on a lunch break to no avail, sad. Luckily I had some meetings down in Miami and saw that they would be at the Kobi Karp building. The rest of my day was then planned on tracking down my grilled cheese and tomato soup. Seeing the truck was, to me, like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I got the Americana with a diet coke and rushed back to my car for a little one-on-one time with my food. YEA! Yum, yum, yum! As a side note, my diet coke was so icey cold delicious?!? I think they keep the cans in an actual ice cooler – if so, don’t change a thing. It was perfect!

After my first visit here, I was going to give you three stars and honestly never go to you again. I was not a fan of my greasy, dripping on my clothes, grilled cheese sandwich. But then when the opportunity arose and I did try you again, I changed my mind and my rating to four stars. Here is the deal about CheeseMe: its all about CHOICES and SELECTION. What you choose is huge! Because after all, you are building your own sandwich. Don’t make the mistake like I did and get portabella in yours, it was not yummy at all, and that’s coming from a mushroom lover. It turns the grilled cheese into a huge gross mess. But DO get the tuna salad, it turns the grilled cheese into the perfect sandwich and up to a whole new level. The mac and cheese pancakes, while they look yummy, were not *on our visit* and tasted«off» and might have just been that night, so I’m concluding. But do me a favor, and try their $ 3 sliders — I’ve heard from meat-eaters in the line that the Kobe is delish, and personally I am in love with their crabcake slider. It does everything right, and worth the price tag, and worth the long ass line that CheeseMe always has. Do it. You’ll thank me later!

First: Mac and Cheese Pancakes. Get Them. Secondly I’d like to thank the food truck court for providing me with an opportunity to enjoy CheeseMe Mobile After a rather stressful day at work, I felt the need for the best comfort food on the planet: a grilled cheese sammich. I also felt like trying something new at the Food Truck Court, so hey, kill two birds with one stone. There are a nigh-infinite amount of combinations at CheeseMe Mobile: at least 6 breads, a number of cheeses including staples like Cheddar, Provolone and contemplative selections like Cave Aged Gruyère and Fontina. And we haven’t even gone into sauces(truffle mayo, roasted garlic, kobe chili) and insertions(kobe beef, ham, bacon, turkey, portabello, cole slaw, etc.). At this point you’ve taken comfort food and turned it into a manly manwich. You also might have just paid $ 20 for a bacon kobe melt with truffle mayo and a soda on the side. You might want to keep it a bit simple, depending on your budget, but no matter what, it’ll be tasty. And remember when I mentioned mac and cheese pancakes. You first see this on the menu and ask yourself«What is a mac and cheese pancake?» and then notice everyone in front of you has ordered one. Do yourself a favor and join the bandwagon. I don’t know why, but those pancakes are delectable.

No matter how simple some things are way better when someone else makes them for you. Example #1: Grilled cheese. Why? ‘Cause I’d probably never have made it on Texas toast, ’cause it seemed extra buttery, ’cause I could order it as simple or elaborate as I wanted… But I kept it classic and went with cheddar. The wait time was a little much but that’s understandable as it’s a one man show. Guess some things are worth the wait, but I’d be aware of that and plan accordingly if you’re checking it out for lunch. Of course, the more elaborate the longer it’ll take. But it beats making your own

Cheese… cheese…and more cheese, how I love thee. A friend called and said«hey let’s meet, this is where they are located today». Five minutes later we were out the door and rushing over. Nice looking truck with a to die for grilled cheese sandwich painted on the side. The menu goes like this you first pick your bread type, then your cheese, and any ad on’s like pulled pork, etc… They also have sliders and fries and tomato soup. I ordered Texas toast bread with Fontina Cheese, hubby ordered Texas style toast with Provolone Cheese and Pulled pork. Both sandwiches were made to order, so be patient although it did not take long. Grilled to absolute perfection, very tasty and delish. Bread was fresh and the cheese was great quality. Most sandwiches with just cheese are $ 6, then extra for any meat or add on’s. Service was friendly, and if you are a big time cheese lover there is no doubt you will love these sandwiches. Very good. Follow them on twitter to find out there location, worth checking out. Until my next rendezvous with this cheesy delight!

You need to go into this culinary experience knowing you’re going to come out wanting to eat only salad for the next three days. If you don’t know that ahead of time, you will not enjoy your experience. I convinced a couple co-workers to go check it out with me for lunch a week back and we got some grilled cheeses, fries and some macaroni pancakes. The grilled cheeses were good, everyone liked their sandwiches(I think i made the mistake of putting Gruyère on my sandwich — it’s such a dense cheese, it does not pair well with the tub of butter my brioche bun must have been soaking in). The true standout of our meal, however, was the fries. Savory, seasoned and just plain perfection in a paper tray. My car smelled like fries for days after — but I didn’t even care, they were amazing. I’m hesitant to give them more than 3 stars; since I can’t handle that much lard in my diet, I won’t be returning. Also, the prices were marginally expensive for the amount of food you’re getting. Luckily, you don’t really need large amounts of it — it’s pretty filling.

Cheese heads every where, rejoice! A mobile food truck was just made for you. And its name is Cheese Me. And it’s DAYUM good. You can choose your own bread(Texas toast, English muffin, brioche, rye, pumpernickle or whole wheat) and your own cheese(aged provolone, vintage cheddar, mozzarella, blue, gruyère, fontina or American) and even add meats like a Kobe beef patty, bacon, turkey and more. I got the McShane which is a pulled pork, coleslaw and cheddar cheese sandwich. It was perfection. The fries are also really good — the cheese for the fries is the gooey, good kind, if you know what I mean. Being the fatty that I am, my gal pal and I split the tomato basil bisque and even a Kobe chili. Both were fab but the soup trumped the chili. I’ve been told to try the Shorty sandwich next(a braised short rib concoction of sorts) and will do so next time around. Say cheese, Miami!
