Simply amazing authentic Haitian food. It is def worth a visit in Little Haiti. I recommend getting #9(the shrimp dish) steamed. The shrimp comes in a deliciously flavoured sauce.

I don’t understand this… it’s almost like magic. I ordered a fried conch and when she opened the container to show me my order, it appeared to be just that. I got back to my office and took the first bite but there was no conch inside. I searched every piece and somehow, they managed to sell me a bunch of fried flour. One or two pieces had microscopic conch inside of a lot of crisp deep fried air. I am flabbergasted!!! How’d they do that? How do you deep fry air!!! Even more flabbergasted that she opened the container to show me my deep fried air and then allowed me to pay $ 13.50 for fried air. And look, I know people exaggerate often but I am speaking the absolute truth here. I took pics to prove it. Just see for yourself. Lol! I’ve been here before and I’ve not had complaints in the past but really? This is just a rip off! I’m so disappointed in you Chef Creole. I would have preferred you to tell me you ran out rather than serve me this. And then you give me Pikliz too? Pikliz is not a good accompaniment to deep fried air!

Portion great. taste great.representation of the Haitian cuisine on point. price, reasonable. service, horrible and very disappointing that they do not serve the most popular Haitian cola. you would expect them to have at least that. overall for those who never had Haitian food, this will give you a fair idea

Truth be told, for years, I used to come to Chef Creole but stopped as I was over doing it and everything started tasting the same. There were only three locations back then, so you can imagine my surprise when I was driving in this neighborhood and spotted a big bright building with the Chef Creole signage; I just knew I had to stop and give it a try again and ahhhhhhh man… How great it was! The first thing I noticed was the size of this location, in comparison to the others, it’s pretty big. You’ll notice the many Caribbean flags hanging from the ceiling, the large dining room with plenty of seating and a long bar where you can choose to dine. You first order your food at the bar and can decide to take it to go or dine in. The customer service was OK, they simply took my order and obtained my payment(nothing above and beyond). The food was great. I ordered the following… Chicken Wings with the choice side of French Fries(lunch special) which I believe was $ 5! I was given about 5 large chicken wings and they were fried to perfection. Sometimes places fry chicken wings too hard and they come out as bricks. This place fries them to crispy heaven while maintaining the inner moist! The breading is seasoned just right. The fries were just OK as they could have used some salt or Cajun seasoning! Fried Shrimp with my choice of rice and peas with fried green plantain. Mannnn, let me tell YOU! I’m going to call it and say this is the most addictive and best tasting fried shrimp I have ever had — not too much breading and generous in size. The shrimps usually come out curved with the tail on and the seasoning makes you want to lick your fingers(no joke). The rice and beans fill the top of the plate will certainly compliment your choice of protein. The green plantains are fried crispy and crave you wanting more. The conch fritters were a great way to start. There were crispy on the outside and tender on the outside. Beware that it’s spicy but IMO it makes the dish even better. Each dish is complimented with a little container of Pikliz which is a spicy vegetable slaw composed of carrots, cabbage and chiles soaked in vinegar to create a spicy-sour taste. Typically you would dip or throw this slaw on your meat but because I love the spice I throw it on my rice as well! I also love the fruit punch and lemonade that they have on site, it’s just oh so addicting and sweet! I can never leave without a cup! Although there may be some other restaurants that may taste a bit more authentic in terms of Haitian cuisines… Don’t pass up on this restaurant as you will not be disappointed with the flavors in each dish. More than likely you’ll see me in a love triangle with the fried shrimp, if so, say Hello!
