I’ve filled at least 6 glasses RX here and none of them were right the first time. (Defective coatings, scratches, lenses not centered properly, sunglasses not tinted to specification etc.)
I recently pulled out my spare pair of glasses that I barely ever wore and the coating was coming off. I called the office to let them know and that’s when they informed me that I did not get the Crizal coating I had paid for because my RX was too high and they claim they couldn’t use Crizal. This office has been giving me Crizal for years and my RX was no higher this time so the explanation made no sense. Even though I was given a cheaper coating, they would not refund me the difference or re-​make the lenses because they were out of warranty. (The cheaper coating had less warranty than the one I paid for.)
I asked for the doctor to call me to discuss my issue and he never did.
Also, the wait time here is always close to an hour, even if you are just coming for a frame adjustment.

What a truly fantastic experience! Words cannot express how enjoyable my experience with Dr. Eichenbaum and his staff was but I’ll try anyway.
After checking previous reviews on Unilocal and cross checking to make sure Dr. Eichenbaum took my current vision insurance I called in and set an appointment with Sunia. They called me the day before to confirm my appointment and insurance information. On the day of my appointment I walked in 15 minutes prior and even though it was the morning on a work day it was pretty busy. The front desk took down some basic information and then I was whisked away by someone else to get a couple of pre-​exams before seeing the doctor once they concluded Dr. Eichenbaum introduced himself and we went into the examination room. Dr. Eichenbaum is incredibly knowledgable, professional and extremely patient (I know I can be somewhat annoying with the amount of questions I ask) he answered every doubt I had and then some.
Once it came time to select my new frames Vivian helped me out, she was truly astounding! She helped me select frames that would look best on me and allowed me to try them on patiently, she also kept in mind the amount I wanted to spend and helped me to stay on budget.
In summary, I suggest any and all Unilocalers that are considering getting an eye exam, glasses, contacts or even LASIK to check in with Coral Gables Eye Care Center, they are as good as it gets! From now on anyone that needs eye care I will immediately recommend Dr. Eichenbaum and his amazing staff at Coral Gables Eye Care Center.

Dr. Eichenbaum was very good. The doctor is prompt and knowledgeable. His staff is very friendly as well. Best of all his prices are reasonable. The best part about him is that when he commits to something (Including the time that he will see you) he follows through with it.
