Denny’s

Awesome guest services food was good too. I’m one to find something to complain about and I couldn’t find anything here. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles from everyone, seated, drinks, food order and didn’t have to ask for refill she just did it. Very friendly Ivonne was our server… this is how a waitress is suppose to be like!!!

I wish I could give this Denny’s zero stars. First, I ordered take out over the phone and was told to hurry because it would be done quickly. Once I got there, and after 20 minutes of being ignored, I was told that my order wasn’t in the system. The manager then questioned whether or not I called the right Denny’s. After I recited her store’s phone number to her she dismissed me, rolled her eyes, and asked if I wanted to place my order now. There was NO customer service here. They did not care that they had messed up so horribly. And the person I dealt with was the MANAGER. Horrible. I’ll never go back.

OK I was about to give this Denny’s a 5 star review regardless of some of its quirks but the waitress leaves a bit more to be desired. Background: Denny’s and I have been having an on-​again, off-​again relationship. When I lived in Miami, I used to love going to Denny’s at 5 in the morning after clubbing, and I would prefer their steak with eggs and bacon. I’ve since lived in NYC where I don’t think I saw any Denny’s and then Houston, whose Denny’s are alla bit iffy. But since I’m overnighting in Miami my restaurant choice was obvious.
So I got here, the host was friendly and affable and seated me in the back section in a booth. The waitress came along and asked me if I wanted something to drink and I asked for coffee and a cup of water. Before I could finish my sentence, she had already started walking away! I thought «my goodness how efficient!» She returned shortly with my requested items.
She handled a few other tables and returned and asked for my order. I got the american grand slam — three (real) eggs scrambled with cheese with 2 bacon strips had browns and 2 sausage links. I emphasized that I wanted my eggs scrambled well done, and she stated that the menu lists it as scrambled already and it comes with cheese. Okay I replied.
The meal itself was so tasty. I was trying to be health conscious and decided beforehand to only eat half and take the rest home… But this meal deserved the honor of being eaten all in one sitting. I ate everything minus the bread (trying to still salvage my healthier resolutions) and pulled out my book to read. Never once did she check on me to determine whether I needed anything else or if the food was to my satisfaction. I let that slide.
While still eating, she passed by and folded my bill and placed it under the bread plate. She never asked if I wanted more coffee, if I wanted to order anything else, desserts nothing. I removed a star for this only because I feel very much rushed and unwanted. Maybe, I’m just used to certain behaviors from other waitresses that her coldly efficient demeanor just feels odd.
I tip my hat to the chefs and to the host. They both did very well. I wouldn’t mind returning here, but I would want to sit in a different section to see if the other waitresses are the same.
I recommend a visit!

This denny’s could be so much better. I like to have breakfast with my mom on weekends & usually go to ihop down the street. But there has been a couple times that we have a busy day & cant really wait for ihop so we go to denny’s. The service for one is def not the best, the waitress has gotten something wrong literally everytime ive come here. They take a whileee to bring the food when its ready & the place isnt as clean as i think it could be. Overall id say go somewhere else. Save your time.

I’m giving it 5 stars because the big effort that the cook and the waitress are doing in this Denny’s location.
They are only a few and we were like a 30 people seated and waiting for our food, and believe me they were working as fast as they can and is so sad that the other people can’t understand that they are doing a really big effort. Food was really good, my ice coffee was yummi and me and my kids enjoy it!!!

Called to place an order and was rudely cut off and told to wait. 20 minutes later I’m still on hold…
So I hang up and drive there to place an order. I get there and speak to the Haitian manager. I tell him I was rudely put on hold for 20 minutes and he says «oh we were busy» I almost lost it. THERE WERE ONLY 2 TABLES OF CUSTOMERS THERE HOW THE F*** ARE YOU THAT BUSY? He gave me no apology, no nothing. Just oh we were busy and walked away.
I’d say this filthy place needs to shut down. The food is gross, the service is a disgrace, and the manager is clueless. You’re better off going to ihop up the street.

Hey… Denny’s is Denny’s, an all night simple restaurant with a decent variety of food items and decent prices. Before I moved to Miami I would come to this Denny’s for breakfast when it was really early (like 5AM, most international flights arrived at around that time), since most hotels did not allow check-​in before noon. I remember ordering «Moons over My Hammy», which was one of my favorite dishes… it is still the same. And the chocolate lava cake was nice.
We were tired driving back to our house and decided to stop by, relive some memories, and I’m glad we did.
Service was very good, our waiter was ultra nice and attentive (Alberto?). Food was good, as expected, and prices just right.
Denny’s is not the Ritz, but it does what it is supposed to do: serve a good meal for an affordable price.

This location is my preferred spot in Miami. Most of the staff is very friendly and I always enjoy the food on my visits. They do have desserts. If you bring a negative demeanor you will not enjoy your time. Seriously audience it’s Dennys don’t expect 5 star food and service.

When I go to this Denny’s it’s for a quick meal I can bring home when my mom can’t cook. In my experience, the food is good for the price.
Now let me get down to it. This place should be the example under the definition of bad service in a dictionary. In the last 4 years, each time I come, the service is awful. One time I was with a boyfriend, and two tables just left because they didn’t have the patience to wait. I would’ve followed them, but that’s when I noticed the cook place my food on the counter. And when I look for my waitress, I see her socializing with the busboy. The cherry on top was how she forgot who ordered what and gave my food to another table, who looked at her with a puzzled look. Let me tell you, there were 5 tables of people and at least 3 waitresses.
I no longer come here.

Not the greatest staff, but the food was okay. It’s Denny’s, what’s the most you could expect ?
The server we had was attentive, but just wouldn’t refill our drinks at all. At least, not without us having to continuously ask. That’s not typical for a restaurant, even a Denny’s. In most cases, I get my drink refilled many times more than I care for. Not here though. And I had just ordered water, it wasn’t something expensive for them to refill.
The wait time for our food took way too long, considering there was only about 5 small groups of other customers in there. I want to say it was about 45 minutes. But acceptable as far as I’m concerned.
The food was good though, when it finally did show up. Nothing over or under cooked. It was all just right. One thing that really got to me though, was no military discount. I always get one from Denny’s. But not at this location. That’s a first.
Needless to say, I won’t be coming here. If you’re starving, I guess stop by. But there’s a Burger King a few blocks down. I’d just as well go there, honestly.

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible service. I had to get up and pick up my own menus because they where to lazy to bring them to our table. The bathroom was nasty as the appearance of the restaurant. Never again will I come here again.

This place is horrific! First, the place is filthy. When you look up there’s an inch of dust on the ceiling, so obviously it will get into your food. The salt, pepper, & ketchup bottles were greasy. The food is frozen & fried. It would be cheaper just to purchase frozen food from your neighborhood grocery store & fry it yourself. Stay away from this place. Your health depends on it

Best staff at any dennys

I’m not sure why I decided to order fish at a Denny’s. I mean, my expectations were low, and they definitely met my expectations when I ordered the Tilapia Ranchero. Yes, if you’ve always wondered what the fish tastes like at Denny’s, now you know… it’s horrible.
On the bright side, the service was very good. Our server was very courteous, and knew the menu very well.
