Dileto

This is my first review in Unilocal.I wish it were on a positive note. I live in Miami and u learn rather quickly it’s a sunny place for shady people.
I bought a couch from Dileto almost 10 years ago. I fell in love with it, it was pricy if I remember $ 3500 plus delivery, pillows etc and it would be delivered in 3 – 4 weeks. Perfect I’ll take it. 3 – 4 weeks ended up being over 5 months, welcome to mañana land worth waiting the couch was perfect. 9 – 10 years later it still looks perfect. no dye fading, excellent quality. A good piece of furniture
Unfortunately, I can’t say that for the customer service. About a week before last Christmas a guest could not close the bed back to a couch I was not there but it appeared 2 screws had come loose and he forced it to the point it needed repair. Not Diletos fault and I thought How much could it cost? for a small piece of aluminum.
I called Dileto and had to beg her to send someone. I will pay for it. I didn’t expect there warranty to be in force it was only valid as long as it takes for the ink to dry when I paid. she wanted a deposit of $ 250 upfront before sending anyone. the repairman came All the way from Boca it took 2 – 3 weeks for him to show and look at it after the $ 250 was given .
The couch was in a room not often used and worth fixing they gave me an estimate of an additional $ 350 this was mid December the repair guy said he might be able get back to me by Christmas .
Today is April 23 Five 5 months later the bill is now $ 1250 and I’m still waiting for them to return a repaired couch. the best part they had to charge me additional fees to express ship it «what the fck?»
I guess if they did not send the part express I would get it back next Christmas or who knows
I asked her what plane takes 5 months from Columbia? I grumbled at her telling her it took five months and I’m paying for express delivery no way no way I’m not letting you do the Miami BS on me again. she brought the price down to$ 480 upfront which must be paid in advance again with the original deposit total came to $ 730 and She reduced it to 48o only after I reminded her of how many people I referred to them.
I don’t think many people spend $ 730 on a love seat let alone a repair but I loved it. I received a call 4pm today weds April 22 that they are waiting on the part and they will repair it at my home this afternoon .
Paying upfront burns me because I have no idea where they stored it at a warehouse? Was it covered? does it still look like when I said ciao to it over 5 months ago and if there is a problem a rip, a tear, the wrong part whatever is it going to cost me again and wait the traditional mañana ?
In a nut shell It’s an expensive piece of furniture that should come with customer service of the same quality
Wish me luck it appears today ain’t the day the love seat is not coming home. Paying for a repair upfront in full !! shady shady I really hope I’m wrong and they actually repair it .
Day two waiting for the repair return hmm yea morning came and went no return call. I know what’s next, my next call to the showroom routine Miami.” No hablo ingles plez mr joel call mañana plez «At this point does it really matter if they ever come thru. Just remember it could happen to anyone even you. I finally got the couch I hate giving a bad review the people that came to install it were very nice if they were employees or the owner it does not matter customer service was less than zero

We needed a sleeper sofa but didn’t expect to find anything that would really make us happy, since sofa beds usually sacrifice comfort and beauty as furniture and always sacrifice comfort as a bed. No so at Dileto. We’ve had our Dileto for a couple of weeks now. It looks great, the quality of construction is fantastic (German-​made frame, I think), and the pull-​out function is so easy and makes it so comfortable we use it every time we sit down to watch a movie. Plus we wanted some extra, custom pillows made with the same leather asap and they had them ready in less than 48 hours.

i was never a big believer in the sofa-​bed. still to this day memories of my aunt’s pull-​out couch make me cringe. the mattress bumpy, the springs digging into my spine. horrible squeaking every time i changed positions during the night.
so why would a sofa-​bed hater go into a sofa-​bed store??? my friend is an artist rep that has a lot of her work on display here. so i stopped in during art basel… and holy shit. these sofa-​beds are amazing. i’d use it as a real bed.
dileto’s sofa-bed’s are freaking unbelievable. they’ll do custom ones for you. i tried out for four or five. super modern. really clean design. amazingly comfortable. i could’ve fallen asleep (side-​note: i did have a few too many glasses of wine). now only if i had the money to buy one… sigh.
