I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this time I couldn’t help it. This place is with no doubts the worse choice I made on my trip in Miami. The food was okay. It was cold and you could tell it had been waiting for us for like a day. Also the service was terrible. We tried to be nice to the waitress and she was extremely rude the whole time. Not a single smile or smirk at all or didn’t even make eye contact while speaking to us. On top of that, we ran out the place and I left my wallet on the table hoping that when I called the waitress would have been kind enough to save it for me after cleaning the table. That didn’t happen. They said they never saw it and when I checked my bank account someone had tried to make some purchases around that area for the whole day. Anyway, if you can avoid this restaurant, do it. There are a lot of nicer places around Little Habana!

I only got a cortadito(which was perfect) and a frita(not so perfect). I’m only giving them this review based on the frita which was not even close to as good as some other ones I’ve had. The bread was not toasted and very dry and had RAW chunks of onions. Hard to swallow, no sauce or anything to moisten it up.

Great cuban food. The sandwiches were amaze. The croquettas were also really good. Very nice waiter in the heart of little havana. Definitely a recommendation

Really enjoyed it here! Do not get discouraged by the looks of the place. It looks a little run down and not super clean. However, the service was great and food was amazing! We sat at the bar and were served immediately and the food came out quickly. My dad ordered a seafood soup that had a slight fishy taste to it but I enjoyed it. I ordered a tilapia dish that came with rice and beans. I had plantains as well that I actually liked. I never had plantains this delicious. It was fantastic! They also give you bread in the beginning. So it may look like a run down place but give it a try. Prices were reasonable as well! Very yummy Cuban food and they can explain to you what the food items are if you have any questions or concerns!

Not a bad little spot for a quick fix on a cafecito! Make sure you bring cash! They have a little window that you can walk to outside and order! Very quick and friendly service.

This place is trash, don’t bother going. I’m a local and I’ve never had service like this. I ordered 2 empanadas, they have me the wrong order. It’s cool, my brother and I just swapped. No problem. I ordered a pan con lechon, my brother orders a pan con bistec, no tomatoes… you guessed it there are tomatoes and the meat is tough as well as tasteless. I get chicken instead of pork. And honestly, if the chicken was any good, I’d have eaten it. So I wait 15 min for a sandwich that comes out, no fries. So I asked if I could get the fries since I waited. Server has to speak with a manager, fair enough. He didn’t listen to me at all and he just walked away. So I tried to eat this«sandwich» it was literally pork on greasy bread. So not only was the customer service complete crap but the food was bland and dry. Awful The absolute worst encounter with management ever. Save yourself the hassle and go to literally… any other place in Miami.

It is probably not pretty, but certainly their breakfast is the best in all Miami. Great portions and prices. It is a loud place, but definitely worth it.

Went with my mom, she ordered chicken soup. There were bones in the soup and big ones. I felt bad for her since she didnt have a big appetite thay night. It was really disgusying seeing all those big bones in the simple to make soup. Never again we went back. We go yo la Carreta and they make some good chicken soup with chicken breast in it.

As a born and raised son of Miami via Cuban parents, this place is IT for me. During my many years living in Little Havana it was my place of choice. It’s the closest I’ve ever come to rediscovering my grandmother’s cooking. It’s location is fantastic, right in the historic heart of the Cuban community in Miami. While the neighborhood has evolved over the years, it still carries the same spirit in places like these. The menu is straight out of «abeula’s kitchen». All of your Cuban favorites are here from meals to your favorite desserts. Breakfast is also the best bang for your buck in town, again all typical Cuban favorites. In a town full all sorts of Cuban restaurants, this one has something the other ones can’t buy, heart.

Time for a bunch of reviews from Miami! I was at Miami last week for a work award trip for a few days and was privileged to visit Little Havana and tried their traditional food. El Pub was our first stop for the eating tour and it looked like a very old school fast food restaurant, which gave it a very good traditional fee. We were provided an Empanada and a Cubano(meat sandwich) to try. I have to say, I was super impressed with both food! At first, I wasn’t too sure about the Empanada as it was fried with beef and«looked» greasy, but I still took a bit and i loved it! Tons of great tasting and tender minced beef with olive and fried to perfection. It was so tasty and I wish I had another one! The Cubano was also awesome, although it didn’t look too impressive at first, but once you take a bite, you are hooked! Not only the slices of meats were great, the pressed bread really hit the spot! The bread was so flavorful, they must have used a lot of egg in making it! If i ever go back to Miami again I will make sure I come to El Pub for more traditional food!

We stopped in here for a bite to eat during our visit to Little Havana. The ground beef empanada(deep fried) was excellent, and with some hot sauce could be a game changer. The Cubano, which was not a real Cubano because it did not have roast pork but I forget what they called it(hey, we stopped many places including Ball and Chain bar to imbibe), was good and nicely pressed in a panini press. The place seems to be a neighborhood hangout for families, and is also popular with tourists. The people are really friendly. If you are not too snobby I think you can enjoy yourself and have some decent Cuban food.

El Pub is a Cuban Diner located in the heart of Little Havana. I tried the Cuban Sandwich and Café con Leche. The Cuban Sandwich was not very good. The pork and ham were dry and had little flavor. The bread was stale. However, the Café con Leche was enjoyable. Overall, this visit was a big disappointment.

Although the service we received at El Pub was friendly and welcoming, the food was hardly satisfying. My boyfriend and I came here by recommendation of a local cigar shop owner. He raved about the Cuban sandwich which we sought during our visit in little Havana, however the product we were delivered was hardly a Cuban sandwich. For $ 34, we paid for a half pitcher of sangria(which was the only gratifying purchase we made here), and two sandwiches which looked and tasted more like grilled cheese cardboard than anything else. The Cuban sandwich was a few cuts of meat, warmed next to a slice of cheese, pressed between a split Cuban roll. There were no spreads and no other toppings and the sandwich was so toasted and dry it was abrasive inside our mouths. The other sandwich was supposedly a specialty item because it included slices of pepperoni and prosciutto. Essentially, it was no different than the Cuban, aside from the addition of two other meats. Regretfully, we didn’t get the Cuban sandwich we were promised here and didn’t seek another elsewhere out of fear of being fooled twice. Never again…

Want to eat at a hole in the wall that gives you good authentic Cuban food? Then this is your spot! The coffee is potent like proper Cuban coffee should be! Definitely have a cafecito or a café con leche. I am a huger fan of bistec a callabo which is a steak and egg dish. Their steak is pretty good and authentic thin sliced. The eggs, well, you can’t really mess that up. A must try if you want good Cuban food.

This is a touristic place, for me. The waitress was absolutely not smiling, and was not helpful. The food is not bad not great. I would not recommend the pub. The restrooms were not clean.

This was the first place my family and I stopped to eat during our trip to Miami and WOW ! It was so much more then we expected … We just so happen to be in the area and My parents decided to stop by, I wasn’t expecting much and I was blown away ! I ordered a «café con leche» and it was the best coffee I’ve ever had ! & yes I’ve had Café Du Mond’s coffee and this was 10 times better ! I also order the«pan con Lechon«and it was also amazing ! The bread was crispy and buttery and had a great crunch. The Lechon was juicy and soft and the melted cheese was just the cherry on top. My family equally enjoyed their meals. It was so good we came back the next day hahaha cons: the service is a little slow.

Cuban spot focused more on sandwiches and coffee than full on Cuban cuisine. Obviously the location makes it a bit touristy, but the food is authentic and appropriately priced. El caldo gallego was alright, good enough to cure a hangover but nothing to write home about. Service was great, along with the clientel, definitely the most authentic part of the experience. A star just for old Cuban men, coladas and tradition. Given the great number of options within walking distance I’d say try someplace else.

Came here on a food tour. It’s been here for 52 years filled with history and culture. We enjoyed empanadas de picadillo. So tasty! We also had the stuffed tostones con pollo first time I’ve head it and I’m obsessed!

Delicious Cuban coffee and cortadito! Our waitress was so nice and took time to teach us about the different types of coffee. It was such a fun experience. We shared one special sandwich for 2 people and that was plenty! Serving size was huge, and our whole meal was $ 10 and change. Loved it and will definitely come back!
