This is the SLOWWWWWWWWWWWEST service i have ever received in my life. I am VERY new to Florida and my husband and i stopped into this local joint to pick up a few subs. We went on a week day a little after 1:30 pm so it was kind of busy with the lunch rush. I was expecting a wait but not damn near close to 45 minutes for a couple sandwiches! The second time we had gone was months later. we had stopped in on a week day and it was about 7:30 pm and there was only 2 other people in the establishment. 1 was eating and the other was waiting on a order. he seemed peeved as well like he had been sitting there just a little too long. After getting our drinks and grabbing a seat. catching up on facebook… half a drink later im wondering where our food is??? another couple walks in. orders sits down. they ordered a SINGLE meatball sandwich and received it prior to receiving our meal… OURMEALCONTAINED a meatball sandwich… i know exactly what happened… My husband got a little impatient and kindly asked when the food would be ready… and person behind the counter said just a couple minutes. There were at least 4 employees behind the counter… why am i waiting 45 minutes on a week night??? I WILLNEVERGOHEREAGAIN! SUBWAYISFASTER!!!

UPDATE from original review below: Manager did address my concern and my next visit the quality of the sandwich was MUCH better and very tasty. I had the same. Much credit to Firehouse Subs. As such, i’m changing my rating from 2 to 4. Prior Review: I had the turkey salsa Verde on wheat. Like many others observed, the bottom of my bread was soggy… why, I have NO idea. They took way too long to finish my sandwich. The staff, although nice, 2 of the 3 guys were so busy chit chatting with each other which seemed to delay my the making of my sandwich. Not sure I’ll go back especially since it seems that the management differs not cate to make any improvements since a) he/she has not responded to anyone here; b) many of the issues are still prevalent at the shop.

This is my first time here and probably my last. I’m not impressed. First, the guy taking our order was so tired he had to lean on the counter while he took our order. I felt we were keeping him awake. Second, no Dr Pepper. Third, too much oil on the subs. My bread was soggy and there was a pool of oil in the bottom of the basket. And fourth, staff members had their pants hanging down so you could see their underwear. There is s time and place for everything, when I’m eating I don’t want to see a guy walking around with his butt hanging out. It’s unsanitary and makes me wonder what is happening in the back area that I can’t see. I get it’s a Saturday night and everyone would rather be somewhere else, but the store was rather empty and the service was poor. Very disappointed!

Pretty much like other Firehouse Subs I’ve visited, always great food and service. This location, I’ve always visited in the evening for dinner times. They’ve always been quick to take your order and complete your order. And the plus I’ve seen from this place is that they usually bring your order to you where you’re seating if dining in– always a great touch in service.

Don’t get me wrong, firehouse makes good subs. However, this is my second time ordering from this location and it is the second time they have screwed it up. Except this last time I actually had to pay more money for something I didn’t get(cheese on my blt). I get it, it’s lunch time rush… your busy… but step up the customer service and pay attention to what customers order. I’ll probably just stick to sub serious in Miami Lakes because I’m not sure I want to take the chance of another screw up. only to find out when I get back home. Disappointed…

Great sub shop. I stopped going to Subway after going here. The menu is great and the sandwiches are large– be hungry or prepared to save half if you order the 12″.

Fast food sub shop much better than Subway or Quiznos but not as good as a higher end deli. The service tends to slow down during busy times but the wait is reasonable. The subs come in 8 or 12 inches white or wear bread and the don’t skimp on the ingredients unlike Subway. They are similar to Publix subs in quality but Publix has better bread. They do have a large variety of hot sauces to choose from, ranging from 1 to 10 on the heat index as well as your typical variety of chips and drinks. They have several tables, a couple of tv’s and clean bathrooms. They have several locations around Florida. This location is in the same place as Elevation Burger, Sushi Runner and Chick Fil-a, so a good spot for lunch.

My favorite sub here is the Engineer. I’ve tried all their turkey subs and I love them because the meat is sliced thin. The price is great for the portion. Also, hands down the best chocolate chip cookies are here! They’re chewy and very delicious. If I had to choose between other sub shops such as Subway and Quiznos, Firehouse Subs takes the cake!

I have eaten the NY Steamer and it is good. I also like the brisket with cheddar and bbq. This is a much better alternative to subway.

I’ve only been here once so I can only comment on this 1 experience. If I go again I will update this. I got a Sweet Thai Chili pulled pork sub. I didn’t like it at all. It was insanely sweet. I was expecting sweet, but not like this. I choked down half the sub and couldn’t eat the other half. I think the guy put way too much sauce on it or something. My sub was soggy from the sauce. The guy I was with took a bite of mine and retched. I also tried a cherry limeade which I didn’t like either. I was expecting something like from Sonic’s but instead it tastes like cherry syrup with no hint of lime at all. It tasted exactly like cherry Koolaid and it wasn’t carbonated. I would never get it again. The person I was with got a Steak & Cheese sub which he said was good but had very little cheese, they put like 1 slice on it. You’d think with a sub that was primarily steak and CHEESE it would have more cheese. We waited 10 minutes for our subs in an empty restaurant and somehow when they finally gave them to us they were cold *shrugs*. Next time I go I’m going to pick a different less sweet sub because even though this experience was bad for me, it still beats Subway. Also, the staff was nice and the store itself was clean.

I was definitely impressed with this Firehouse Subs. First of all, the people who took care of my order were… smiling! This took me completely off guard because in Miami, particularly the Miami Lakes/Hialeah area, quality customer service is somewhat of a foreign concept. I ordered the Momma’s Homemade Chicken Salad as it was late and I was just looking for something light. Much to my surprise, this salad was massive. I’m not sure whether it was because I was not that hungry or because the salad was actually that large, but I couldn’t even eat half of it despite it being super delicious. The ingredients were fresh, the lettuce was crisp and the dressing was a great touch. However, I would recommend to whomever likes to drench their salad in dressing to request extra as they are given to you in two thimble sized to-go cups. Oh, and the chocolate chip cookie and fancy soda machine with a million different flavors were great too.

The subs here are very good and filling. My favorite is club on a sub, which comes with ham, turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce & tomatoes. I’ve only tried one other kind of sub before, but can’t remember what that was like thanks to this sub. They also have a firehouse sauce that has a bit of a kick to it. If you’re into a bit of spice I recommend you to try it but it’s not for everyone. The employees always seem to greet me on the way in «Welcome to Firehouse» so thats always a plus. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I recommend you do.

I really like this place. It can get really busy around lunch time, but they are still pretty quick. The employees make this place. They are above average in comparison to many fast food joints. Quite a few here such as Benjamin and Hoote(and more!) who make ordering more enjoyable. :)

I’ve always considered Firehouse subs to be just OK, I really like the Cherry Limeade more than whatever I ate until they introduced the King Hawaiian Pork & Slaw. It’s supposed to be a limited time offer, but I am sure it will make the permanent menu because it’s just that good. I suggest trying it before you can’t.
