I am such a fan of this nursery. And I’m such a fan of the staff. They always know when I’m in over my head, like when I start piling plants next to me and they bring over a cart without me even noticing. Every single staff member I’ve spoken to is beyond knowledgeable, and they really care about these plants — they walk me to the lemongrass and stop to groom an herb or two along the way.
They have everything you could want in a plant nursery though: herbs, flowers, ground cover, garden fixtures, gravel, pathway stones, soil, mulch, there’s dozens of more tings that I haven’t even explored. But I go for the herbs — more lively than anything you could find at the grocery or Home Depot. And the pepper plants that I bought are looking beautiful!
Herbs are $ 2 each, veggies around $ 3 each, I have a brand new 3 ft tall lemongrass for $ 5, butterfly plants around $ 5 each, and the professionalism comes standard. They even helped me wrap and load my plants when I was on a work mission.

I called and asked 2 questions about what they carry. The 2^nd one was too many and the person said «I have no idea how much it is. Okay. Good Bye» click.

Great place! Only place I could find water lilies for my pond. People there knowledgable and helpful and even packed up the plants and carried them to my car! Prices are ok, but with service, knowledge and selection they offer, they may not be the cheapest.

I grew up not too far from this place and loved it. Going back several times throughout my adult years for plants (even though Shell Lumber is much closer to where I now live in Coconut Grove). After today’s experience at Galloway farms I will NOT be returning and will not be recommending them to friends and clients either.
I called GF around 330 pm to see if they had any meyer lemon trees in stock. They told me they had 3 left and and one was a meyer the other two smaller ponderosa trees. I told them I would be right there.
When I arrived I was handed off to an employee who was short and rude. I asked him the price and he said he didn’t know and disappeared. I approached the front counter and was helped by another much kinder employee named richard. Richard showed me the tree and explained the pot size I would need, watering and sunlight requirements. He told me the tree was $ 89.00 my husband and I decided to go ahead and buy the tree.
More problems arose when we went to purchase and load this now annoying lemon tree. There was much confusion about if the tree that was clearly marked HOLD was sold or on hold for someone else. Towards the end of this disastrous visit the staff finally decided to sell us the Meyer lemon but not before telling us we were misquoted on the price and it was now available to us for $ 140. We walked out treeless and we will not be returning to Galloway Farms again.
They are unorganized and have no courtesy for their customers. I will be going to Shell Lumber instead!

Everybody was really helpful and kind! Not to mention they had beautiful plants!
