I read a bunch of positive reviews about 4D Gelateria on Unilocal,so yesterday while killing time before our movie started I saw 4D and decided to try it. Here’s the lowdown: — Price: I got the smallest cup, which holds about two regular scoops of Ice cream, I chose the Nutella cream, the cost was a sky high $ 5.60 with tax. Crazy. — Taste: taste was good, but not extraordinary good, like a $ 6 two-scoop ice cream should be. I like to use benchmarks to rate restaurants, and in this case my benchmark is Coldstone. So let’s compare: — At Coldstone they customize your order, you select the ice cream flavor and the«toppings», and they manually mix them in right in front of you, so the ingredients are always«fresh» and not melted and blended with the cream. Their smallest cup is about 3 to 4 scoops. Same price as 4D’s 2 scoop. no toppings. — At 4D Gelateria a person grabs two scoops of pre-mixed ice cream, dumps it in a cup. Done. Sure, if you are dragging your kids through the mall, and they are unruly and screaming(you are sure that Lucifer took over their bodies), then get a 4D cup to appease the devil, and pay $ 6. But otherwise I don’t think it is worth the money.
