I have given this place at least 5 chances and I always leave disappointed. The food is not bad at all. However, the paninis are always very light on the ingredients(just had the chicken avocado panini and where was the chicken?)

Every time I go into this store I’m disappointed. I’ve literally been going for the past 8 months because at one time I had an empanada and it was delicious. But they haven’t seem to had them in the past year I’ve been going. How can you have something big and bold on your menu that you don’t even carry on a regular basis. The guy said that they run out quickly. Those are lost sales, if you see the demand you would think you would step it up. He is a lousy business man. Not even apologetic, mostly sarcastic. Doesn’t make you feel like you wanna come back and support him. I’m also pregnant too so I know my hormones are like raging and my cravings. But today we want in there and of course he didn’t have empanada and only to find out that he got rid of the French fries as well. Like you serve sandwiches, how do you not have French fries anymore. They also never have waffles. There is no warm mess in here and I hate to say it but I feel as if he is racist. Last time I try to support this business.

Such a weird restaurant. It literally only serves panini’s and empanadas. Both of which are far from gourmet. I wish this place would shut down and re-open as a coffee shop! That would be perfect! Coffee, South American pastries… Yes please. Not a store that opens after 11 most days and has less menus options than a food truck.

Since we moved buildings a couple years ago, it has been difficult to find good food that is close by. Nothing against the hot dog vendors or the café downstairs, but sometimes you just need a little something more to get excited for. Gourmet Store delivers in spades. Now, as to whether or not they actually deliver, I’m not sure. I have been there several times and tried something different in each occasion. They have never disappointed. Their pretzel burgers are incredible. The pretzel is heavy or doughy but instead is the right amount of thick to hold all the meat. I have had the Beef burger in this style, as well as the perñil(pork). Both were exceptional. They also have daily panini specials. I tried the tuna and on another occasion the perñil. Excellent!!! On my most recent visit, I just had a normal burger. That too was delicious. All the food seems to be homemade and handmade and their creations are crafted perfectly. If your looking for some good food in Downtown, I would suggest you try out Gourmet Store. You won’t regret it.

I love this place! Jose and Genesis are so professional and caring of their customers. The food is excellent and made as you would like to do it yourself. Everything out of the kitchen is gourmet which is quite fitting considering the name of this restaurant. A little hidden gem. A must visit!

Wow, where do I start? The customer service is awful. Apparently this restaurant has two different pages on Eat24 and I happen to pick up the older page(I am assuming). I ordered from the menu that came up on my computer screen. I decided to call it in. The phone number was displayed at the top of the screen, as well as the business name and address. I ordered a lunch special which was advertised for $ 7.50. My boyfriend paid with his credit card(he was on the phone with me). A short time later, the delivery guy called me to come downstairs in my office building(weird, since every other business I’ve ordered from in the past has no problems coming upstairs). So, I went downstairs and received my food. I did not tip him since he decided he did not want to come upstairs. After I received my food I noticed that the price of the food was higher than what the menu had posted. I called the restaurant to inform them of this. I spoke with a female employee that denied that the price online was wrong. As a matter of fact, I was told that I must be reading the menu wrong… She then put me on the phone with Jose Mora who told me that he wouldn’t refund the difference because Eat24 must still have his old menu up and that’s not his fault… Wow! And to add insult to injury, the item that I ordered didn’t have all of the items available(I ordered lunch special ½ panini, ½ soup, ½ salad). They did not have soup available. Oh, but wait there’s more… the soup was substituted with disgusting fries that taste like they were fried in old cooking oil. Yuck! The food was not good at all. After telling Mr. Mora this, he still did not budge. At this point I wasn’t worried about the little $ 2.75 that he chosen –over– providing great customer service. I had made a decision to never patronize this business, tell my friends, family and co-workers of my experience as well as fellow Unilocalers, TripAdvisor, etc. I let Jose know this via email(as I sent a link to the menu and a photo of the menu I had on my screen). Jose was the worst manager that I’ve ever encountered. When I expressed my concern, evidence, and the fact that I would never patronize his business and tell others of my experience, these are some of the things he said… «Thank you for the free advertising we appreciate it .» «For omeone bad customer we get a hundred good customers man we do not need your business our store our store is always full we do ove 60 Delivery aday we are well well procession sorry for your inconvenience and thank you for your business and our business makes over a million dollars a year«(sic). A great businessman would never go back in forth with a customer like that. I am very convinced that this business is –not– capable of providing great customer service with a guy like this on their team. I am sure he will try to reply to this review with a very friendly rebuttal. Guys, don’t believe him. Businesses like these need to go away and make room for more professional businesses. The only reason they got 1 star is because –0– isn’t available. I don’t know which is worse, the customer service or the food…

Since I was in the area I wanted to eat something tasty and found Gourmet Store which didn’t disappoint. I ordered a pesto prociutto panini with fries and were very tasty. Overall the place was very clean and the customer service was ok. Will definitely be back!

Everything I have ordered here is great! The paninis, wraps, tequeños(guava /cheese), and desserts are flavorful and portions are good. Delivery and pickup orders are always on time and service is on point. I’d recommend it :-D.

I ordered the pernil sandwich on a pretzel bun and it was delicious! Slightly messy but worth the mess! Soo good! Seasoned just right, tender and simply scrumptious. I was very impressed with their customer service as well. I had ordered a side of loaded fries and they called me right away to inform me that unfortunately they were having issues with their fryer, but would accommodate for anything else I would like to exchange it for. I asked for a couple of diet cokes, and they sent 3– that made up for the cost of the fries, and I was very pleased. I also ordered a bienmesabe dessert, and holy crap! It’s delicious! Creamy and just enough coconut without being overpowering. Will definitely be ordering again!

I think the food here is decent but the menu has been constantly changing in the past few months I’ve been here that I can’t give this is a higher rating. For instance, they would serve pizza as a regular item, then as a Friday lunch special, and now as a Friday-only item. I can’t seem to find an updated menu anywhere, and certain items such as the breakfast burrito or the meatball panini are no longer available. I’ve tried a number of items on the menu and my personal favorites are the avocado chicken wrap and the pretzel burger(now called the angus beef burger). Bonus: their juices are freshly blended. UPDATE: Menu is available at

Yummy and affordable. First time trying them I had the Waffle Breakfast special with a spinach and cheese and café con leche for less than $ 10.00. Can’t wait to sample other menu items!

This place is great. I come here about 2 – 3 times a week for lunch. The selection in food is good and they have a good variety as well. They have a daily $ 5 special which is really nice. I love their paninis but am not so fond of their salads Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

I recently discovered Gourmet Store. Within the past week, I have eaten in the restaurant at least three times. The sandwiches are all SOGOOD! I really enjoy the sandwiches because they are homemade! The passion fruit juice is so tasty and fresh. This mom and pop joint is definitely my favorite place at the moment. I definitely recommend the avocado chicken panini! yum!!!

@Gourmet Store! Where have you been the last two years, I’ve been sentenced to work at the end of downtown with NO food options!!! Pay it no mind @Gourmet, because now that we have you on our end of town, you are ours! What? And you deliver? YESSSS! The paninis here are so deliciously huge, that everyone on my floor and a growing number of people in our building are starting to make the short trek over to @Gourmet for lunchtime. So, not only is this little café on of the only places to get sammies and salads on our end of town, but all of the menu items are super affordable on our meager public servant budget. I’ve tried the chicken and cheese panini and the club. Both were nice and warm on fresh bread, and easily enough to split with my lunchtime buddy. I have not tried the breakfast yet, but the prices are great. The last special I saw was something like two empanadas and a large café con leche for $ 4! I’m usually not up early before work, but maybe, just maybe one day, I’ll make it early enough to stop by for such an amazing breakfast deal.
