Okay so I was at a food truck event and this truck had the longest line so I went over and waited(food trucks don’t cook your food in 5 minutes, so everyone here complaining about the wait, if you want your food fresh from scratch then WAIT) I ordered a Frita Cubana(knowing that theyre frita was on the travel channel) and my son ordered a steak pincho, and my husband went in for the Philly Sandwich. OMG. The food was fresh and was seasoned just right. The Frita Cubana was excellent.(I recommend it to anyone). My son loved the Steak Pincho(especially that barbeque sauce they put on it), and my husband needless to say ordered a 2nd Philly Cheese. The customer service was great too. The lady taking my order jokes around with the customers making them feel comfortable and making them get a little laugh. I definitely will come back to this food truck. It’s heaven on earth. I’m craving a Frita right now just thinking about them. LOL

Over priced Piece of crap!!! If I could give this place negative one star I would. So I pass this food truck once I arrive to the art walk and the hubby wants a steak pincho… fine and dandy. I patiently wait for the lady to take my order… and steak pincho and coke come up to 9 bucks… she gives me my number and I step aside… no f‘ing lie 20 minutes pass and my number hasn’t been called everyone before me and after me and their mother were called before me. I finally walk up to the lady and kindly ask where my order is. she then says o maybe you ordered something that takes long to make. no biatch I ordered a pincho her face quickly changed to find that my order had been sitting there… she gives me the pincho and no soda. again I have to call her attention to get my soda… w.e. we walk away the hubby bites into the pincho and its cold as could be… we walk up again the dumb ass lady and tell her she gives it to the cook and he puts that pincho right back down on the damn GRILL !!! R you kidding me!!! I was so pissed that I left the damn place because if not the hood was going to come out in me and i‘d boycott the food stand and tell everybody to go spend their money elsewhere!!! NEVERAGAIN!

Wowza! Can’t say anything bad about this food truck! My hubby and I chowed down here during Art Walk and were blissfully stuffed! The Grill Master Burger and the Philly Cheesesteak were absolutely delicious! Wonderfully seasoned and tender, the meat is cooked to perfection and so juicy! Porno-like, almost… And the layer of crunchy fries are a fitting topping! Prices are good for the the quality of food… Love this truck!

The long line at this truck, and people patiently congregating around it gave me the false impression that this was something worth waiting for. It must have been a bad night for them, the order taker was spaced out and overwhelmed, and after waiting for what seemed like an eternity the food was downright awful. I took a bite of steak pincho and immediately spit it out. I tossed the rest of the food after just smelling it. Highly disappointed. So many rave reviews about this truck — I must have been at the wrong place at the wrong time, but I will never eat their food again.

Grill Master Café is a great truck with a pretty diverse menu. This truck had a number of items from Cuban Philly Cheesesteaks to Palomilla and even wings. The lines are always long whenever I see this truck so people must generally like it. On this particular night though, lines were generally long because food took forever to cook. No worries though, because all the other food trucks were taking their sweet ass time as well. I tried an order of wings and fries and a Cuban Philly. The Churrasco steak sandwich was calling out my name, but my wallet quickly silenced it. My friend went with the frita cubana.(Weird mixture of meats). They had a number of other meats and have pinchos as well(kebabs of meat and veggies). The wings and fries were only $ 5 for 5 wings. The wings were tiny though, but tasted fine. They were just breaded and fried. Nothing special about them, not even sauce. Gotta ask for hot sauce on the side. The fries were good, but they can’t mess those up. The Cuban Philly was interesting. It tasted great. The cheese and steak melt real well together and it was pressed with cuban bread. My friend’s frita was huge. The patty was fairly thick too. Took a bite and thought it was alright. I’ve had them before and never was really a fan. If you are a fan of fritas though, you ought to give this one a go. Overall, my meal(wings n fries, and cuban philly) with a soda cost about $ 14. Not bad at all for everything I got.

After having tried my fair share of the South Florida food truck scene, I have to say this was the first disappointment I’ve had. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and waited more than 15 min for it(while all 4 or 5 customers behind got their food first). The person who took my order was daydreaming into the distance rather than making eye contact with me when i walked up to inquire. When she finally did, she was not apologetic of the delay. If that wasn’t frustrating enough, the Philly that came out was terrible! The roll was super dry and tasted like it had been out for days. It stuck to the roof of my mouth like a saltine cracker. The meat was underseasoned and overcooked, which added to dryness of the whole thing. There was little cheese to counterbalance the lack of flavor and juiceness. All in all, there worse Philly I’ve had and it cost me $ 8. There used to be a time when food trucks were run by people passionate about their food, provided great service and delivered great food on a budget. Standards have clearly been lowered and perhaps a signal of the end of the food truck hype. At least for me it is.

I have developed a sweet spot in my heart for this food truck. Our love affair began on an alcohol infused Second Saturday Art Walk in January. After consuming copious amounts of liquor and walking miles in 5-inch heels, the sight of this food truck was like an oasis in the desert. In spite of our slurred speech the kind lady at the window guided us to the food that would best suit our inebriated state of mind. An order of chicken pinchos, 2 Philly cheesesteaks and a colada for the 3 of us. The pincho was delectable… until I dropped it, at which point I looked like a sad puppy while staring at my drunk-grub laying on the asphalt. Luckily, I was able to sustain a few bites of the ooey-gooey yummy cheesesteak in between my boyfriends devouring of and then proceeding to drop half of it as he walked in to a car. The colada woke us up enough for the walk/stumble back to Midtown. Since that fateful night, I have had the pleasure of eating at Grill Master during 3 Pinecrest roundups and 1 Wynwood roundup. The frita is… beyond words. Just… wow. Oh, and with a bit of the Sriracha they offer at the counter, you’ll be in food junkie nirvana. I’ve tried the steak pincho but still prefer the chicken. The steak sandwich is good, but pales in comparison to the frita. Oh, and now that I have been able to appreciate the colada in a sober state I notice how wonderfully the kind lady at the window makes the espumita.(the most important part of a good Cuban coffee as any connoisseur knows) You also should try the chipstix and funnel cakes if they are offering them, fried deliciousness indeed. Best of all is the welcoming service, always greeted with a smile even when they are slammed with orders.

A review on the potato stix only: The concept is über cool and they potatoes were cooked just right but the seasonings are too«salty». Plan to try again and ask for regular salt on the side. It’s quite the bang for your buck– 2 stix for $ 5 is a pretty decent price for two whole potatoes fried and easy to eat.

Steak pinchos… AMAZING. Fries…What a perfect french fry should be in terms of taste, crispiness and saltiness. Whoa. Just. Perfect. Some master wrap thing(don’t remember the exact name) with chicken, rice, beans and sweet plantains was… just ok. The wrap was lacking in something, some sort of flavor or sauce and I kept waiting for a burst of flavor… but to no avail :(Pffft. Maybe my fault because I got boring chicken?! I don’t know… Everyone in line was raving about the philly cheese steak and I heard one girl say that the ‘pan con bistec’ was the best in Miami. Guess I’ll give those a shot next time. Regardless, I’ll be back… they definitely had me at the pincho :)

Some food is so good that upon first bite you want to share it with someone else as soon as possible. Can we all agree that generally, chicken sandwiches aren’t exciting? Imagine my surprise when I took a bite of Grill Master’s grilled chicken and had to immediately share it with someone. And then fully peer-pressured my youngest sister into having a bite and she shared my sentiment. The chicken is sweet but flavorful and savory. But perhaps even better is how soft the bread is, I hate hard bread that scratches the roof of my mouth. So a great sandwich. However, if you’re looking for lunch and you’re in a hurry, you might want to check in with them on how long it’s going to take since I did feel like I waited longer than I usually do at food trucks. But like the saying goes some things are worth waiting for.

Holly $#!t!!! Another great food truck in So. Fla! After a quick tip from Burger Beast, I caught them parked @ the pines blvd. Best Buy and man was it worth the drive! They are mobile,. so follow them on twitter for locations. These people have a Crazy Large menu! I honestly don’t know how they do it. But you definitely need to try their Grill Master Burger and Philly Cheese Steak. The Burger was topped with mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions(oh you sweetness) and special sauce(house mayo and pepper — soooo good). It’s an 8 oz’er made with house-ground chuck, sirloin and sausage!!. So fresh and pinkish. The owner brought it out to me(big smile on his face) before popping it on the grill…(they know their meat!!). The size is just right,. and not overwhelming. The Philly is disguised as a simple bun, Swiss cheese, sauteed onions,. but with a f-ing crazy explosion of marinated shredded beef. I thought their Burger was amazing,. this Philly is Ridiculous! They remembered me from the weekend and for being one of their Tweeps, on that day I got a free drink! Look for them in Miami in the upcoming few weeks. The owner has some spots lined up on Bird Road,. and at some point in the next month they will be on the Beach. The prices are amazing. $ 5.75 — Burger $ 6.50 — Philly $ 4.75 — Dog I need to start running again… Like… Alot… if this mad crazy goodness continues. I’m happy that we can all experience this Food Truck revolution in Miami and support these great families. They are Mad Cool. Wish them all success. I’m Lovin this!
