Highland Oaks Park

Nice park. Lots of room to do activities. From a playground, to sports fields, to a running path, there is something for everyone. There are soccer and baseball leagues for most ages as well.

You will and probably have driven by Highland Oaks Park on numerous occasions without realizing what a little sneaky gem this place is. If you have driven down Ives Dairy Road to Aventura Mall then you have passed it for sure.
It is a Miami Dade County Park, which means it has many programs on offer for families in the neighborhood. And just because you may pass by the couple of hundred feet that adjoin Ives Dairy Road and think that that is it, the park goes back and back into a quiet oasis of tranquility and wildlife. Yup! Another spot of serenity in Miami.
It’s got a proper baseball field, with home and away bleachers. A playground, which is located on a very tranquil lake with a jogging path around it. It has soccer fields. Restrooms. Vollyball courts. Lots and lots of parking. And, it has a most wonderful after school and summer camp. Camp Fit! Emphasis on fitness. Just what my lil’ yit needs in his 8^th year.
I’ve brought both my Yits to this playground on and off since they were little things (and big Yit is 15 now! YIKES) and it’s always been clean and well tended. They’ve been doing some work in the back area, making some new wet lands it looks like.
A great local spot to bring the kids to run off some energy or to take avail of some sport programs.
