I Am Elite Krav Maga

I took a self defence class and I really liked it! You do a lot of exercise while you learn good techniques of self defence! The instructor was great and really professional! Liked the location and the installations.

great class tonight… made me work up a sweat and came out of there feeling confident! i want to come back.

This place has a great balance between real self defense and cardio. It’s not the typical place converted to Krav Maga, because it pays the bills. There are plenty of law enforcement instructors and students who teach you the real stuff. The instructor is very knowledgeable and takes the necessary time to teach you the technics. The people training here do not have egos, which translates into a very nice atmosphere.

1-​I can only go on fridays due to their schedules and mine.

I started the classes 4 weeks ago and the least I would say is that I am loving the experience.
The classes are 2 hours long during which you get to learn amazing self defense techniques and experience and great full body workout.
The trainers are all great without exceptions. They make sure every trainee gets the appropriate attention to learn the proper techniques.
On certain days there are BJJ, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai classes, and they are just amazing.
Apart from the great training, you get to meet fine people of all ages and different professional backgrounds.
It is a must to try.

I signed up with the school over 3 years ago and have been going regularly. I also signed up my teenage brother who also attended for over a year. I work in law enforcement and learning Krav Maga from the very knowledgeable instructors has given me a lot more confidence on the job. Most law enforcement agencies only teach you self defense from their perspective academies or training facilities, and that can be years ago. In order for any self defense to be effective you have to practice regularly. Krav Maga focuses on practical and effective techniques that apply to real life situations. This school specifically will break down as many possible scenarios that can occur in the real world. As far as my younger brother goes. I’m glad he took this knowledge with him. He currently lives in another country and I know this training will be invaluable to him one day.

Easy to learn basic self defense and fitness conditioning… lots of fun learning from the pros!

I took a class in Boca. I am a 64 year old woman… I want to be able to get away from the violence… I was very impressed… I know a lot more than I did… I will continue on this journey. I highly recommend it! It’s not about how good you can fight, it is about saving your life!

Some time ago, I decided that I wanted to learn how to defend myself from a violent attack. I had no interest whatsoever in wearing a special costume, testing for belt advancement, or competing against other people. I just wanted to be able to defend myself well enough to escape a two-​legged predator.
Enter Krav Maga.
This is no-​holds-​barred dirty street fighting, the kind necessary to get away from someone who takes you by surprise, or is much bigger and stronger than you (women, please take note). Krav Maga’s motto might as well be, «Whatever it takes». It can be a graceful form of combat for sure, but the goal is not to score points or impress a panel of judges. The goal is to win a fight by any means necessary.
The techniques are simple, repetitive, and surprisingly easy to learn. Doing them well is not so easy, but gets easier with practice. I’ve been going a couple of times a week for three months now and while I’m certainly no expert – I’m not even very good – I’m much better equipped to defend myself from sudden violence than I was before I started.
Jean-​Jacques is an excellent instructor and the classes are always fun even when they’re frustrating or exhausting. I do seem to find a new bruise or three every time I get home, but I suppose that’s just inevitable when you’re learning how to fight.
Krav Maga Brickell offers a safe, supportive environment for discovering how best to defend yourself from the bad guys. The location is convenient and I never have trouble finding street parking nearby. Classes are available for men, women, and even children, and joining the gym at the monthly rate is a tremendous deal because you have access to unlimited classes as well as a weekly yoga class. The other students are a diverse group of good people and always happy to help a newbie improve her skills.
I never thought I’d be so interested in fighting, but I plan to continue my training even after we leave town in a few weeks. I credit this in no small part to the attentive and personalized instruction I’ve received at Krav Maga Brickell. I will definitely be recommending it to everyone I know in Miami.

Over a year ago I was looking for a martial art that would be easy to learn and efficient in possible everyday situations. Krav Maga is definitely what I was looking for — it is efficient and focuses on defense, attack, and getting out of a situation… nothing pretty — relies on instinct.
Teacher here is exceptional and I have seen the class grow over the last year and half… great for men, women, and children.

Krav Maga is Israeli street fighting, where the goal is to defend yourself in any situation, by any means possible. In Krav Maga there are no rules, no Eastern spirituality, and no point fighting. Techniques include defending yourself against chokes, knives, guns, and multiple attackers. Counterattacks target vulnerable areas such as the groin, throat and eyes.
I’ve been training here in Miami for a few weeks, after 2 years of training on the West Coast. Krav Maga isn’t as established on the East Coast, and this class is still fairly new. Since the classes rarely have more than 6 students, you’ll get plenty of personal attention. The disadvantage is that there aren’t many experienced students able to really push you, but the instructor’s attention has already improved my techniques significantly.
Compared to other Krav studios in the U.S., there is a much stronger emphasis here on self-​defense techniques. That leaves less room for general fitness, hitting the pads, and sparring — all worthwhile goals, but if your main goal is to defend yourself from street attacks, this is the place to be.
Anyone can take a class for free, to see if it’s right for you. Krav is designed to be easy to learn quickly, and the atmosphere is not intimidating. The instructor, Jacques, is a certified EIKM Krav Maga instructor. I recommend training here if your goals are practical self-​defense and having fun.
