Excellent service, the food is to die for and the view is breath taking! I highly recommend.

A great view of the ocean and the food was great! Everything was very fresh and the staff was very friendly, they even gave me a free appetizer while I was waiting for the rest of my(late) party. I had the filet with red wine sauce, delish! I will definitely be back.

I went on vacation to Miami for a week and I’m so happy that I found this little gem. The ambiance is nothing short of amazing and the location is everything. It’s literally in the best corner of downtown overlooking the bay with the dreamiest setting. I ordered a little bit of everything and it all tasted so good. I had the pasta that was different colors, crab legs and the avocado with shrimp the bread was fresh and that olive oil they serve with it gave me so much life. This place is a must !! It’s definitely pricey but worth every single penny enjoy !!

This is a fine dining restaurant at One Miami close to Bayside. Food is great and service is very good. You can dine inside or at the outside terrace which has a spectacular view. I will be back. I recommend the outside dining.

110 for 2 crab claws was outrageous. 45 for 4 pieces of octopus smaller than my thumb. At the end of dinner they brought out a birthday cake to sing happy birthday. And then took it away without having a bite… told us it was only for presentation. 600 total for 4 people. We could spend less money and have better food elsewhere in Miami. I should post 1 star for value. We have eaten there before with no issue but this time I really felt shafted. Plan to tell my friends.

The atmosphere and the food were outstanding! I had the Lobster and shrimp ravioli. My friend had the veal chops. They also brought some unique apps and had a long list of specials. Servers were professional and efficient, and truly amazing. The décor and fact that we sat overlooking the water added to the ambiance. I loved this place.

What can I say this place is class personified. The food is fantastic you can tell its fresh and legit from Italy. The service is outstanding top of the line and can’t forget the view of downtown. What a scenery. Overall a must go!

We made the reservation for Friday at 8:30pm a week in advance. We called Thursday to try to move it to 9:00pm and they said they didn’t have any reservation under our name. That should have given us a hint of the lack of organization the place has. Nevertheless, they took our reservation. We arrived on time and the hostess told us that they were a little behind. They gave us a table at 10:20pm(1 hour and 20 minutes after our reservation). The service was not bad but the food had no taste at all and overpriced. As soon as we sat down they brought us bread, Parmesan cheese and zucchini chips that instead of being crisp they were soft and dripping oil. We ordered one of the specials, scargot on top of fungi with a spicy sauce, as amazing as it sounds, it had no taste at all. Same thing with the clams. And 25 dollars for a glass off wine? We don’t mind paying and we like to go to the best restaurants, especially if they have Michelin stars but as there isn’t any in Florida, we follow the reviews but we didn’t this time and followed somebody’s advice. My advice, if you want to waste your money, go to Il Gabbiano, you might be lucky and have a nice view but that is all you will find.

Over priced, staff barely speaks English, the shut all the specials so fast that you can’t even understand anything, they are about 13 specials to remember. The bread is wayyyy to old. The menu is written very odd indeed nothing is simple and everything is pre tenches to point of embarrassment. The food is very medium low quality I got Gnocchi is from a can or supermarket, risotto is under cocked. Not a place I will go back to

Fine dining at its finest, with a gorgeous view intimate setting and stupendous staff. If you do not like the food here you may need to check your tongue palate. Or I will assume there’s an acquired taste for expensive taste. All pasta is made freshly by hand and the seafood is beyond fresh, hats off to the chef. I ordered the lobster ravioli that was fully loaded with lobster and a side of grilled octopus. My experience here was all around 5stars.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant a week ago and it was an experience I will never forget. I tried the Lobster Ravioli and it was delicious. If I could change anything I would take the crab meat out since it overpowers the lobster taste. We had the ricotta cheesecake and I wish I got the tiramisu instead! Overall a great dinner and fantastic service.

5 star for service 4 star for the bay view 2 star for food 1 star for the prices given the terrible food — I’m use to paying high prices for expertly executed food, but $ 44 for over-cooked pasta?! I’ll start with the good, excellent service all around, invisible, flawless and pleasant. The Bay view is attractive, seating at the patio is recommended to take advantage of the view. The décor is pretty plain but not bad. Now, the bad. The meal started strong with complimentary zucchini chips(not as crispy as they should be, but, they are free), good parmigiano reggiano, aged balsamic and a good bread basket. All the complimentary items were decent, no complaint here. However, my lobster/crab ravioli had no lump meat at all, mostly shredded crab with no lobster in sight. The sauce had little flavor and the ravioli was over-cooked. A huge disappointment given the $ 44 price tag. The Ceasar salad was average at best, also under-flavored. My mother in-law left half of her seafood pasta, also at $ 40+ per entrée There is no excuse for an Italian restaurant to charge these prices and not even know what al dente pasta looks like!

Made a reservation for 8:30pm three weeks in advance for my girlfriends birthday. Showed up five minutes early only to wait for an hour and a half to be seated. We were seated by the exit, where the heater ran out of propane. Didn’t receive a menu by 10:30. So we literally got up and left. The hostess manager did not apologize once, refused to take any responsibility of any sort. Terrible manager and even worse experience. Edit: I have never left a Unilocal review before, but this experience was so unbelievably bad(especially for such a high priced restaurant) that I felt compelled to register on Unilocal and leave review.

The service was outstanding very classy and friendly. Accents are perfect for the Italian environment. Food was decadent and very memorable. No need for appetizers complimentary Parmesan cheese bread with balsamic vinegar and bruschetta. It’s is a bit pricey but honestly it’s worth it.

Beautiful patio, perfect Italian food with house made pasta, expensive and luxurious. The portions are large enough to share. If you love dessert good luck finding room for it– you better start with it. Old-school impeccable service.

SERVICEGETS A 5, FOODGETS A 3. + ambiance is incredible + expect to pay $ 20 per cocktail and glass of wine + service is best in Miami. Unbelievable. + the servers repeat the specials in thick Italian accents(very nice) from memory, which I had a hard time understanding — they don’t easily repeat them and don’t have the specials written down to read after they recite them. It’s all verbal. There were 16 specials that night and I remembered one of them, so we just ordered off the menu. + wine was lovely. Go with a budget Italian wine — the markup on their Cabernet and Bordeaux selection made me want to die. + dessert was unfathomably good. Wow. Cheesecake mascarpone!!! + overall most pasta dishes were mealy, heavy and starchy. NOT balanced. + parmigiana regiano cheese at the outset of the meal wasn’t that great. + meal was overpriced — we’d go back only for the experience and view

Let me begin by saying it is truly a rare occasion for me to write a review. But this meal was so horrendous that I feel I would be doing the Miami community a disservice if I did not WARN them of this terrible establishment that provides neither quality service nor edible food. From the beginning, we were rudely greeted by the host who took us to our table without saying a word(clear attitude for arriving 12 minutes late…) Once seated, we were approached by the quasi-server who asked if we would like sparkling, still, or regular water. When we opted for regular, he scoffed and laughed as he asked again«so just tap water for you and the beautiful lady» as if he was trying to embarrass me in front of my girlfriend. Beyond that, he then recommended a Bellini for her as he creepily winked at my dinner date right in front of me. I could not believe my eyes… until he did it for a second time at which point I commented for him to kindly refrain from winking at my girlfriend. He then later charged $ 18 for the drink he recommended without informing me of the price, even though the place that invented that drink across the street — Cipriani — only charges $ 13 not to mention that theirs are infinitely better than than the ones at il Gabbiano, which is the equivalent of drinking watered down pear juice with no alcohol content whatsoever. You’d be better off ordering a virgin Bellini cause that’s what you’ll get anyhow, so you might as well forego paying extra for nonexistent alcohol. I assume that he elevated the price in retaliation for me calling him out on the weird winking routine. As our real waiter approached for the first time, he offered us menus — TWENTYFIVEMINUTES after we were seated. Also, how did he think we would respond to his offer? Did he think there was possibility that we decline it or say«Well, thank you kind sir for your offer but we prefer to wait 35 minutes before we see the menus.» But I digress… After we graciously accepted his generous offer to receive the menus, he proceeded to read out the specials and I do mean read; it was almost as if he phased me and my girlfriend out completely, instinctively regurgitating a hodge podge of information and food titles faster than my ears could process. The way in which he read it from the back of his mind lacked any sort of order or clarity, and the accent was certainly a non issue here — it was simply poor preparation and presentation. Even when we asked him specific question about specific specials, he had to start from the beginning of his memorized speech before he could get to the portion of it that was relevant to our answer. On to the food, surely it must be better than the service if only due to the simple fact that the start was so memorably bad… right? Ha ha ha. If only. I ordered pasta carbonara to share between me and my girlfriend. First, the pasta, that I had specifically asked to be made al dente to which the waiter condescendingly responded«all pasta here is al dente,» was the furthest thing from it. It was morbid. Soft. Even slippery would be an appropriate word choice. It was actually quite difficult to swirl as it kept sliding off the fork. The sauce itself was made as poorly as the pasta was cooked. It was heavy, dense, and flavorless. The waiter once again said they use no cream in their sauces, but I find that hard to believe as my dad owns an Italian restaurant that makes Carbonara properly, and the dishes shared no resemblance. The main courses were amazing. Just kidding, they were also horrendous. The veal parmigiana tasted more like pizza than veal. It was slopped together with tomatoes and cheese as carelessly as a 1 am Papa John’s «Everything» Pizza. The tomatoes were not fresh and tasted straight from a can. The coloration was that of a dark red which suggests it had been sitting for awhile. Moreover, the texture was such that almost coagulated like blood. That fact combined with the glue like cheese and veal which was not crispy — the breading would actually fall off each time I attempted to cut it — and the veal itself was thick, unevenly pounded and far from tender. All in all, the veal dish felt as if it had been microwaved from the night before… I truly hope that is the explanation because any other suggests that the«chefs» should be cooking in Olive Garden. I would describe my girlfriends dish(equally as atrocious) but it is late and my night is already ruined and with each word my blood pressure elevates as I relive this nightmare. Hopefully, I can escape it with some sleep which is unlikely due to how horribly all this food is sitting in my stomach. AVOID, I would have gladly paid the $ 200 tab just to have eliminated the indelibly awful taste from my memory bank.

The meal starts off with a nearly full plate of food as soon as you sit down, before you order anything. I was totally obsessed with their balsamic vinegar, which is to die for — thick, with a far more complex flavor than your run-of-the-mill balsamic. It reminded me of the aged balsamic vinegar I tried in Modena, Italy. I could not get enough of this stuff, which was quickly sopped up with the generous bread provided. Luckily for me and my dining companions, who were equally wooed, our waiter provided a refill. :) An excellent chunk of parmesean cheese, taken straight off the wheel at your table, is plunked right next to the vinegar. A bowl of fried zucchini chips(actually not crisp at all, sadly) for the table. Finally, bruschetta with fresh tomatoes, rounded out the series of on-the-house appetizers. And then, your meal starts. The waiters seemed to be SO Italian that you could barely understand the run-through of the menu specials, especially in a cavernously loud restaurant. I had the grilled octopus to start and the irresistible sounding porcini ravioli with truffle cream sauce. The grilled octopus was just alright. The waiter was quite enthusiastic about it, but when I tried it, it was a bit tough and over-cooked around the edges. Maybe I was already full from the free starters to really appreciate a rather heavy appetizer. The ravioli with truffle was decadently delicious. The full portion came with about 8 – 9 pieces, which was way too much. I could only finish about 3 – 4, and even that was pushing it. After all of the starts and apps, by the time this entrée came out, I found myself wishing I had ordered a more refreshing pasta. A few of us in the party were disappointed that they did not have ice cream. How strange is that? I thought I wasn’t understanding the waiter correctly, so I probably asked about four times if they had ice cream(the fourth time I said, «oh, okay. Do you have gelato then?»). In any case, we settled for an assortment of desserts. A friend and I split the trio of desserts, which included a dense, flourless chocolate cake, tiramisu, and ricotta cheesecake. All were excellent, especially the chocolate cake, if you like a dense, rich, not-too-sweet(in fact, almost bitter) chocolate. Definitely a Miami kind of restaurant based on atmosphere, view, and clientele. Lots of women in tall heels and short skirts. Whether or not that’s your scene, the food is quite decent and, if you order correctly, could rival some of the well-known Italian spots in NYC.
