Dr. Janet Gersten and her staff are extremely professional and very nice. My experience with them has truly been great. They all make you feel amongts friends while maintaining their professionalism at all times. I personally felt that i could ask them anything, and they were very knowledgeable about my questions. PLUS… the times that i have been to, i have never had to wait the crazy hours at an gyno office compared to other places. Great job!

I am new to the Kendall area and had scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gersten a couple of weeks ago. After I had made my appointment, I went online read the negative reviews on Unilocal. However, I decided to make my own opinions and did not cancel my appointment. Yes, there is a small adorable white dog. She was so quiet and well behaved, you would think she was a stuffed animal sitting on the couch. She was so sweet and paid no mind to me or anyone else. The dog was NOT anywhere near the patient’s rooms, so I really see no issue. Perhaps this negative attention is coming from people who don’t have dogs, or who strictly keep their dogs in the backyard which is rather cruel in a city like Miami. Dogs are pets, not disease infested rats. As far as the bedside manner, Dr. Gersten seemed perfectly fine to me. She’s up front and seemed honest. The check up was quick and as comfortable as it could be. I came in at 9, was out within 40 minutes max and had a good experience. I wasn’t too late to work which was my concern. Will update should it be necessary– but overall, I would not try to discourage anyone from coming here. ps: I would give the whole visit 5 stars if it weren’t for the parking situation. Took me nearly 10 minutes to find parking!

this has to have been the worst experience ever! i tried out this doctor after hearing great recommendations from actual labor/delivery nurses at baptist… and what a shock and disappointment! i sat in the waiting area for a few minutes before being greeted by dr. gersten(and drumrooollllllll) her dog. i believe it was a little poodle or maltese or some little white furball. i couldnt believe there was a dog roaming freely around the office. when i sat in her actual office for the usual medical history/background. the dog pranced in and out of the office and his wee-wee pad, cage, and food/water bowls were in the corner right next to me! then on to to exam room. i put on the robe and waited for her to come back in. there was not a nurse present during physical exam — which in the past with other ob-gyns, i have always have had one in the room. and it was the worst pap smear of my life, how painful.(sorry to be so graphic) but ive been going to the obgyn for over 10 yrs and never in my life had i thought pap smears were painful until this doctor, who is not«gentle» by any means. i never even went back for a follow up.
