This place is so cozy, the music is varied, the owner is the man who attend you, btw he is pretty kind, and the gelato is perfect! Natural flavors, smooth and delicious. Try the pineapple one. This place is perfect for a coffee evening or a casual breakfast.

We ordered coconut, hazelnut, and pistachio gelato. The most delicious and perfectly creamy treat we have had at a gelateria on this side of the world!

The ice cream was smooth and delicious! They have an abundance of gluten free flavors! I highly recommend this place to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings! I tried the hazel nut and dark chocolate together. Definitely going back for more.

My first visit to Latteria was on the(freezing cold) night of Unilocal Elite event, Back to Black at Apeiro across the street. I sampled a few gelato flavors and truly loved them all! The Mediterranean is unique and tasty. I also had a scoop of their Vanilla gelato at Context Miami during the VIP preview night of Art Basel 2015. It was a really good vanilla, I must say. The gentleman serving was friendly. Service at the storefront is hot or cold. The first time I went, it appears that I was served by the owners or at least managers. I’ve been back at least three times since and the service has never been good again. Sometimes the woman behind the counter is cold and indifferent. On one particular day, some other patrons had their dog inside the store(which is rude and against the health code.) I happen to have my dog that day too but he stayed outside, as he should. On this same day, the woman mentioned before treated me like some kid trying to freeload on the samples.(I had sampled two types then told her that my fiancé was going to come in and order for me since we had our dog. She responded by shrugging me off. Um ok?) To make matters worse, when my fiancé went in to order and pay they had him wait with two cups in his hands, gelato melting away waiting patiently to pay while another customer decided how to fit five flavors of gelato into a pint. There were two people attending this one girl. Seriously?(See pics) Tip: The milk chocolate actually tastes like dark chocolate. The Ferrero Rocher(chocolate hazelnut) is my favorite. It is rich and decadent. Sadly, despite the tasty gelato, I won’t come out of my way for theirs. There are many ice cream places I frequent in Miami with farbetter service and lower prices.

Best gelato in town! Different flavors all very yummy and very cute place. I only took a star away Because it’s fairly expensive for just a scoop of gelato but hey it’s Midtown!

Wooooow so good I could eat a whole bowl this ice cream. Good news is they have dairy free options and not only sorbet, real awesome dark chocolate! I know, I’m excited but it is really difficult to find. I wish they had a gluten free cone though and that the portion was a tini tiny bit more, it looked ridiculously small for the price. Anyways, I will go back, not once, but twenty times.

Go for lunch and try the outstanding Lasagne! The bolognese, besciamella, and pasta were all perfect — exactly like my Padovan mother makes them. When I have more time I will try the carbonara. Almost forgot, the gelato is also excellent — Without argument, the best I have had in Miami. They also have an interesting rotation of creative flavors, not just the standard dozen or so.

Everywhere I go I have to try the Gelato. It like always on the«to do list» to taste and compare all the different flavors and texture differences. So, we were walking around a shopping center and stumbled upon this place. We went inside to try a few samples but there was not one that I absolutely loved and part of it had to do with the texture. It was not as cold as other places I have had Gelato. In addition, their flavors were creamier/airier texture. I love me some good ol tasty creative flavor gelato, but this place was just not for me. The location of the store is perfect, right there close to where the bus or trolley will pick you up. In addition, its surrounded but a lot of stores in this cute shopping center. You can grab a treat and then walk over to the middle of the shopping center where they have some amazing art by Britto in the yard.

We went to Latteria after dinner one night and I was very happy we did. The gelato was delicious and there is a wide variety of interesting flavors. The coffee was well-made. The paradiso(?) cake was fantastic. The café itself is comfortable. the atmosphere cute and intimate. Cleanliness is top notch. I recommend it to anyone who enjoy dessert and coffee.

The gelato is amazing!!! One of my favorite dessert spots to hit up in midtown. Before this I thought gelato was just ok, completely different experience now. I fond myself craving gelato from here. I love that you can take home a tub with you :)

Hazelnut gelato = perfection. It’s very rich so the small cup is more than enough to satisfy your sweet tooth but a little pricey considering the size you get. I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area tho!

5 stars for the delicious gelato! Molto buono! The gelato is always terrific but the customer service varies depending on who is on duty. The Italian couple who took care of us on this night was very friendly and accommodating. They gave us recommendations and encouraged us to sample other flavors. I even had an opportunity to practice my Italian and that is how we found out that they take their time every morning to make their own fresh panna, a homemade whipped cream. Delicious! Just like in Italy!!! Mamma mia! My favorite thing to order here is the affogato al café. There is nothing better than a nice cup of good Italian espresso(hot) topped with a generous scoop of velvety gelato. The combination of the bitterness and warmth of the coffee with the creaminess and coolness of the gelato is to die for. You would think these ingredients are not meant to be combined but trust me they are a perfect pair that turns into a delicious dessert. Usually, affogato is served with vanilla gelato but at la Latteria you can choose your favorite flavor. My first choice is always the Mediterraneo gelato made with almonds, pistachio, hazelnut, and pine nuts cream topped with black fig jam. It is so delightful that it can be addictive. La Latteria Italiana located in the Shops at Midtown is truly a taste of Italy when it comes to gelato.

I was a little early for our Unilocal Elite Back in Black event, so dear Cassie directed me to this cute little coffee shop across from Apeiro. Its a very nice little Italian coffee shop in midtown. It was an unusually cold day in Miami so I didn’t bother to try the gelato. Instead I went for a latte macchiato to try to warm up. Unfortunately I wasn’t blown away I was expecting a much different experience. The shop is TINY and there was just one other party sitting down. A young guy took my order for just… just…1 coffee, and I stood there waiting for him to take the payment forever which they didn’t take until after I had received my beverage. Im assuming he was in training because we had to wait for another girl to come from the back to make it for me. There was little to no coffee in my drink and I had to add my own sugar. When I asked for the sugar she just pointed a tiny little sugar packet container. No complaints I just went and added my sugar and continued on my way. If I did return to Latteria it would be because I was actually already in the area and looking to try some gelato. They had some interesting flavors. This little shop could be very very nice, but they just have a few little loose ends to tie up presentation wise and with customer service. I felt a little bit uncomfortable.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I’d never really cared for gelato before but after trying theirs I’M SOLD! My friend and I were shopping in Midtown the other day and she was craving gelato so we popped in. SO glad we did! Even just by looking at the gelato in the metal containers I could tell that everything was fresh, homemade and high quality. Staff was very friendly and encouraged us to try different flavors. I went with Hazelnut and she got the Mediterraneo flavor. The gelato was melt-in-your-mouth creamy and silky, perfectly balanced in texture and flavor, and the toasted almond bits added a very satisfying crunch! I’ll never be able to eat hard, frozen gelato again(yeah, no wonder I wasn’t a fan) Don’t sell yourself short! Get authentic gelato from Latteria Italiana

I looked back… and looked back again… and again. Not sure why I never reviewed this place, but I have been here several times. Miami has always been a city that has one of the highest number of gelato shop per capita for a city of its size. But in recent years, I’ve seen several gelato shops come and go, with better gelato shops replacing the older standbys. And this, we need to be thankful for — as the newer shops have started incorporating better ingredients. So one year, I thought I found the jackpot. Another year, I thought I found another. And then this year… I swore this was it. And the award goes to Latteria Italiana — definitely the best gelato shop I’ve visited in Miami. Several gelato flavors here are superb — creamy, bold, and fresh to give that heaven-in-mouth feel. Everything is homemade, and made from scratch using top ingredients — and it shows. But if you have to pick one flavor, I’m honestly crazy about the Mediterraneo, which I have not seen any other shop carry. I’d consider this flavor Latteria’s signature. It is a blend of toasted almonds, hazelnut, pistachio, sesame, and black figs. I’ve also come by for lunch, and had a salad and lasagna. Again, everything tasted good and fresh. I’ve compared this lasagna in the café setting with that of another popular Italian gelato/café in Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile — and this one was superior in taste. They have daily lunch specials, and also unique gelato ice cream flavors you won’t find anywhere else in Miami. They also lately have been providing their gelato to some restaurants around town, so I’m glad they’re doing good business — it’s very much well deserved. They really do care about the products in this place, in every part of the menu and store. For this, Latteria easily gets 5 stars, bar none. Ambience: Rustic Italian, with a small market Price: A little high, but the quality far makes up for it Service: Friendly, real Italians

«Latteria has the best gelato.» My Miami friend advised before my trip to South Beach. I passed by the midtown location in a hurry but was lucky enough to have one of their gelato stands present at one of the art fairs I was attending nearby in Wynwood. Samples of salt and pepper Pistachio and Hazlenut were passed to me promptly by a smiling man who assisted customers with a woman with an Italian accent. Even for a $ 6 small cup, I took the plunge into heaven. I chose chocolate and Hazlenut — creamy gelatos, not too sweet, but in a large enough portion to share. The inflated price was no doubt part of its location at a monied event, but it’s first taste proved my friends recommendation a true and good one, solidifying his belief that the food scene in Miami is better than the one in Dallas. This gelato put our top ranked Italian creamery, Pacuigo, to shame, and even rivaled anything I’ve had in New York.

I am not really a gelato gal. Ice cream, yes, but gelato is a little too rich for my blood. Until I discovered Latteria! They have some pretty amazing flavors(pistachio with sea salt and black pepper!) including my old standard, Stratiacella, and all are made in house. What really stands out for me here though are the dairy-free options. They have some great fruit options for the non-dairy gelato, but there is also an amazing rich dairy-free chocolate if you are looking for some decadence without animal by-product or are lactose intolerant. My go-to though is the Strawberry Lime. MmmmmMMMMMM. I could probably eat a whole gallon of this stuff by myself in one sitting! The flavor is a perfect balance of sweet and tart, but what really gets me is the texture. It’s creamy, even without a smidge of dairy in it! Latteria, you have made me a gelato gal. Hopefully I’ll come try some of the food off the menu soon, it all looks pretty darn good.

Oh my goodness. Please take the time to walk the extra block from Pink Berry to this amazing little store. Not only does this café have a cute mom-pop feel, but they also have free wifi, and serve breakfast and lunch. The gelato was incredible! They have gluten free and dairy options, and they definitely don’t skimp on the portions. Will definitely be back for more gelato and to try out lunch!

Mediterraneo Gelato. One sample, and I didn’t even want to try anything else! I was hooked! RARELY these days do I get out and have dessert. It’s one of those things I never missed growing up, but I have learned to forget one of my first loves in life. Last night, I was reacquainted with that awesome feeling of comforting sweetness along with experiencing a new flavor with a new texture to boot! Outstanding! A group of Unilocalers were next door and I was the last of them to make my way over to Latteria Italiana. I had no idea what I was in for. God Bless the Unilocalers! My friend Adrienne is a Latteria Italiana veteran and she recommended the Mediterraneo flavor. The gal behind the counter quickly offered me a sample, and that was it. I honestly never tasted anything like this. It was magic in my mouth. My normal routine with sweets is to sample a little and savor for a moment, and then move on. Not this time! I had to get some of this stuff. I ordered a cone. As I was enjoying my cone, I had a chance to take in this lovely shop. They sell more than Gelato here and I wouldn’t mind returning and ordering some items from their menu or even pick up some authentic Italian products. Although if you come here and don’t order Gelato, I think that would be a crime!

What a fantastic addition to Midtown. Latteria is, without a doubt, the BEST gelato we have ever had in Miami — truly exceptional quality. We visited on a Friday evening. The place was empty during our arrival, but shortly after, it got crowded. I was pleased to see this because I want them to succeed and remain here for a very long time! The sea salt and pepper pistachio is LOVELY; carefully crafted with a perfect balance of sweet and savory. No wonder it is their best seller. At least have a try. Trust me. Our second flavor was the Italian classic, Gianduja — Sweet chocolate with hazelnut… a nutella lovers’ dream. Prices are fair and service outstanding. Can’t wait to come back. I noticed they serve sandwiches, salads, and cheese. Burrata and Prosciutto di Parma? My weakness…
