«Cat Lady» is one of the finest theater pieces I have ever attended. It was wonderfully surreal and yet, chock full of authentic emotion. Always great to see the work put on by MadCat, but this one was really special. I think it’s run is complete in da 3−0−5 but I would certainly hope that it is picked up for a run in other cities!

Awesome space in Wynwood, cool off beat performances, free parking, cheap tickets– best in town.

Wynwood’s offerings are growing steadily. The latest in this art-centric nabe is the Light Box, The Miami Light Project’s new theater space. Located inside Goldman Properties this new venue provides an intimate setting for live performances. The minimal, DIY, project of love vibe surrounding this venue is noticeable and endearing. There are hanging black chains surrounding the space’s perimeter making for a Light Box outlined in black. You’ll find yourself delighted by the palpable positive energy of the staff and perfomer(s). I’m looking forward to seeing this become a community space with smart, well-curated events. If you’re a planner or just looking for an event space, keep in mind the space is small with maybe 80 — 100 seats max.

Light Box is Miami Light Project’s new theater space at Goldman Warehouse in Wynwood. Kind of feels like you’re walking into a gallery, but once you take your initial right turn, you’re greeted by this weird black, ropey curtain backed by a large black tapestry which is the entrance to the space. In interior«theater» is about 80 – 100 seats surrounding a small, taped-off floor stage. Cozy and great for intimate performances like last night’s inaugural performance a la the zanieness of Reggie Watts — a great way for the place to pop its cherry.
