Beware. She spends barely 5– 10 minutes with each patient. Appears to have pre-conceived notions about each condition. Is opinionated, manipulative and paranoid. I read the review by MC. sounds like it was written by Dr. Lopez herself. It is very sad to see that a person to whom others go who are reaching out for help has so little compassion and would rather prefer to «tell them the truth». The truth, I think is that Dr. Lopez herself suffers from an inferiority complex, lack of self esteem, and takes it out on her patients. Dr. Lopez. please. for the sake of humanity. Go see a therapist/psychiatrist or whatever you want to call him/her. Just a person that will help you!

Okay, I can see how people might think that Dr. Lopez is not soft enough, or be confused due to lack of knowledge about that profession. It happened to me too in the past. Dr Lopez is a psychiatrist and NOT a psychological therapist. There is a big difference not only between degrees that you have to aquire(longer and more difficult to get)-that’s why psychiatrists get paid a lot more, but also the difference in the job description. PSYCHOLOGIST will sit, and listen, and sit some more… asking how you feel, and what do you think you could do better… and then you cry… and he/she will write some notes… and then you pay a flat fee of $ 60 for the 50 min of therapy. The purpose is to get in touch with your feelings, and feel better about your self. PSYCHIATRIST is the Dr. who will tell you the truth, your diagnosis and gives you the medication to treat symptoms, since most of psych problems are not curable, and she will suggest to schedule a therapy with psychologist to go and talk about feelings for an hour. Which is also very important. But Psych doctor’s visit is a flat fee $ 50−150/ visit, not per hour, and the visit is 10 – 15 min long. Dr. Lopez tells you how it is. Lazy, not, ambitious or inconsiderate, and so on. She doesn’t have time to do the therapist’s job, because it’s not what she studied so hard for. But truth hurts, if it’s not what you want to hear. Dr. Lopez is a very experienced psychiatrist, knows her craft in and out, and you can trust her expertise. She is not going to waste a minute of your time or even one dollar. And no doctor would ever tell a patient they are worthless, especially Dr. Lopez. She is not going to prescribe antidepressant to a person who says he lies on the couch and doesn’t go to the gym, and feels a little down. She will darn make sure that person is clinically depressed and in real need of medication. Otherwise, what a heck, let’s give out morphine for a headache too.

Don’t call this woman. Don’t make any appointments. This doctor isn’t worth anyone’s time. Run as fast as you can to get away from her. I used to see her once every month and when the week comes I get overly depressed knowing I have to see her. Only for 5 minutes she talks to you. Almost $ 60 every visit for her to insult you, blame you, blame everyone else for your problems. Call you a failure who will get nowhere in life. Is a snob that thinks she is all that because she has a diploma on her wall. I have problems with anxiety and she clearly said I’m lazy and worthless which she has no right to say because I’ve only talked to her less than 2 minutes every visit. Claiming I will live under a bridge aswell. She makes me feel 100x worse the crap she says doesn’t even make sense. I’m surprised she’s even allowed to help people in emotional states. I have no confidence whatsoever with her.
