I wasn’t a big fan of the chicken and waffles dish I bought at The Miami Flea: the bagged chicken that was deep fried was alright. One of the pieces I had was tendon-y. Unfortunately, the waffles had a raw-like, doughy, dense center. What they put in the waffle maker was more like a yeasty dough bun looking thing instead of a liquid batter. The staff was super nice though.

Got to meet Mad Chillers at a Unilocal event where they made fresh to order chicken and waffles drizzled with truffle butter and maple syrup. The waffle was made of dough instead of batter so it had a nice cake texture. The chicken… The freakin fried chicken was to die for! So much flavor in one tiny bite. For dessert my friends at Mad Chillers made another cake based waffle topped with peanut butter and Nutella. I’m a Reese’s freak, so this dessert for me was like a Reese’s on steroids. A piece of heaven on earth. I can’t wait to take my husband to the their shop.

The waffle goodness coming out is sooooooo deliciouslessly good I’m just making up words now. Take a look at the pics, they speak for themself. Waffle: liege(from south of Belgium) Chicken and waffle: power sugar, chicken, truffle butter, maple syrup and whip cream. Dessert waffle: power sugar, Nutella, peanut butter drizzle and whip cream.
