Mattresses are overpriced. American freight sells the same beds for half the price!

Recently bought a great new mattress and box spring from this shop for about $ 400 on sale plus I think about $ 50 for delivery. Had the best experience with the salesperson here (thanks, Eric) out of the 10 or so shops I visited while shopping for a new bed. Answered all my questions, told me a lot of interesting things about beds that I would have never wondered, all with a very laid-​back, absolutely no-​pressure style. Large selection of mattresses on the floor to try, from reasonably-​priced to extravagantly-​priced.
And they were ready to deliver the bed within 24 hours (if I’d come early enough in the day, they could have delivered it the same day).
My only complaints would be that I noticed a small tear in the fabric on the underside of the box spring a few days after I got the bed when I lifted it to put on a mattress cover; it must have been torn either before shipping out or while the delivery guys were handling it. It was kind of annoying that, assuming the delivery guys saw the tear, they didn’t mention it to me and give me the option of exchanging the box spring. Also, it’s apparently standard practice at all the Mattress Giant branches to try to get everyone who buys a new mattress to also buy «mattress protection» spray, which seems to me to be something of a scam (in the sense that I’d be surprised if the spray really adds any value to the mattress, especially if you already use a mattress pad).
Overall, this would be my first stop if I were looking for another bed.
