We only had some desserts here, although the food did look good. The key lime pie was nice but the crust seemed a little tough. We also had this berry tart looking pastry that had the perfect blend of cream and berry. Atmosphere looked good.

Was given terrible customer service. As I General Manager of one of the fashion boutiques in the Design District I’m asked daily by clients where they can go and purchase a coffee/sandwich etc. I would not recommend them to go Mercado. I ordered a café late with soy milk the barista told me they only had almond milk so I agree to the almond milk instead when I took a taste of the coffee it felt very week/water down and I quickly asked the barista if it would be possible to exchange it for one made of regular milk as it just doesn’t taste correct to me. She looked at me with a face of what was obvious to me and my coworker of upset. She remade the café late for me and then said to me with an attitude that next time she will charge me again as she gave me what I had asked for. In the future I will only direct my clients to the other coffee shop in the Design District called Ella as they have always given me exceptional service.

Had a cortadito and it was delicious. Staff was very nice and welcoming and the atmosphere was excellent. I wish they closed later but other than that, it’s a great place to have a light snack and do some work.

Great little place to grab lunch or a coffee break when shopping in the design district. Sophisticated sandwiches, salads and yummy desserts.

I can’t believe this place only has 4 reviews! This cute little café is situated next to MC Kitchen, and I think might be connected in some other way which I can only imagine to be a good thing. Regardless, I came in here recently with a friend and ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It’s not done in the normal way with a ton of mayo, but some sort of delicious mustard and apples and onions(which may be more traditional, like I said, I’m not big on chicken salad usually). It was amazing. It was a bit on the expensive side($ 14 I believe) but to be fair it was also enormous and came with a side of chips. Aside from the sandwich selection, they had a lot of tasty looking salad options(pasta, veggies, etc.) that I would love to try on my next visit. It’s a bit cramped and the menu is small, but what they have to offer is worth it. Definitely worth checking out!

came here with a friend for lunch and loved it. the food was very good and the portions generous. Their toasted farro with shaved brussel sprouts and mushrooms is really good and so is their salmon. My friend ordered a side of quinoa which was a bit too simple. the food came out quickly and the service was quick. Didn’t indulge in their desserts but i will next time. they offer plenty of gluten free desserts as well. I’m a fan.

this review is way overdue but definitely worth posting. we had lunch at Mercato. not only was the food delicious but the staff-particularly the manager-was so great. he was kind and helpful and clearly took a lot of pride in the establishment. he even gave us some dessert samples to try. this is a wonderful, casual place to stop in for a healthy and quick bite to eat.

Tasty. Had the fried and grilled chicken. Man they were tasty. The baguette was do fresh and flavorful. they didn’t overdo it with the mayo and the lettuce and tomato were full of flavor. The restrooms were clean as well. A bit pricy but well worth the quality.

3.5 stars This restaurant/market/café is part of Dean Marino’s MC Kitchen, yet is completely separate and a great addition to the area. More of a breakfast and lunch place, it’s also a great place to grab a quick and healthy bite. Vibe is sleek and upscale; I feel like I’m in New York here. I had a salad that was very fresh but was surprised to see it served in a to go box… I was wanting to dine in… and did, although I ate there in my paper box and wasn’t offered an option to have it on a plate. The place is a bit difficult to find. The signage is not good and you can completely miss this place. However, I did like the food. Quality was very high, so I would most likely return.
