I’ve never had a Unilocal before, but after today i felt the need to make one. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYHERETHISPLACEISNOTWHATITUSEDTOBE. I orderrd a chicken sandwich and it was horrible, the chicken was dry and tasted terrible, after trying to take a few more bites I noticed the lettuce was brown, and tomato was very soft and the bun was burnt. idk if i got food poisining but I’ve been sick all day throwing up and my throat has been swelled shut. good people that work there just not sure if there concerned about there costumers health. 0 stars I will never eat here again!

Visited the Miccosukee reservation for the airboat excursion, which was great. Our group was hungry and looking forward to trying alligator meat, which is a specialty of this restaurant. Arrived at 4:30pm, only to be told that there was no alligator available, so we left disappointed.

Scouting a place to bring out of town guest. Unfortunately this will not be the place. Came here based on reviews. Staff was nice but the supposedly famous Indian taco was extremely bad. Crumbled up soggy fry bread topped with lukewarm canned chili. The frog legs must have been fried in same oil as fish because they tasted fishy. I will at least give gator bites, fry bread, and dip good marks!

It’s a good deal when we use the 241 buffet special. Wide selection of any thing u can think of eating. Good coffee too.

Service was fine, but the food was awful. Seems like this is really a breakfast place, base on other reviews. We had lunch. Also, we didn’t order the house specialties of gator bites and frog legs. I couldn’t see spending 12 bucks for something that sounded to be the size of a couple chicken nuggets. But in hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t — if the can’t be trusted with a hamburger and a cup of coffee, why would I trust ‘em with more exotic and easily perishable fare? My burger and the rest of our food came out so quickly, but so cold — like in under five minutes — I know for a fact it was not made to order. Seemed like it was cooked a day or two prior, stuck in the fridge, and microwaved. The wife got the Indian taco — fried bread was good, but it was topped with lukewarm Hormel canned chili. Coffee came at precisely room temperature, not in the least bit hot, although they did brew a fresh pot when I asked. My 7-year-old grandson ordered his usual chicken strips, and couldn’t eat them because they were so over cooked, dry and leathery, which for him is unheard of. They don’t really need to worry much about repeat business being one of the few or only sit-down restaurants along the Tamiami Trail — my advice is if your eastbound, keep driving and in about 20 more minutes you’ll be able to choose from a couple of dozen places to eat.

Our server is very attentive and courteous. I think his name is Jose. We had gator bites, Indian tacos, and frog legs. Very flavorful. Highly recommended!

I’ve visited the Miccosukee Restaurant several times in the past few years as I frequently drive out to Shark Valley from Miami. I’ve never written a review for them, but I feel like their improvement deserves acknowledgement. I stopped in today and was really impressed by my server. She was very attentive, sweet, and kept the coffee coming. Perfect for a cold day! Usually my servers are somewhat hit or miss, so I was really happy with that. The menu posted previously in the pictures is no longer the one in use. It is updated and much easier to handle as the other one was really too big and bulky. The new menu has photos and makes ordering a lot more simple, especially if you’ve never had fry bread and aren’t sure how it’s served, or are just more of a visual person(like me!). I ordered the Indian Taco. It was delicious and really satisfying after a long bike ride. The restaurant itself was very clean which is a great improvement from the last time I visited earlier this year. It seems as though it is under new management and I’m super glad. The great staff, food, and cleanliness makes me excited to visit again in the future! I might actually come visit again for their annual arts and craft festival that starts on December 26! Don’t miss this great restaurant, and the opportunity to try some traditional Miccosukee food.

Lunch 7/1/14-Get the Indian food. I ordered fry bread which is heaven on earth. I also got a side of gator and frog legs which where both unique and good. I also ordered the sofkee rice beverage which is warm and different. Add some sugar and you are good to go. The club sandwich and burger are ok. Service was ok but a little slow. I would go back and get the Indian burger for sure.

We got there at 11:45 after a long bike ride at Shark Valley. Breakfast ends at 11:30 am. I asked them if they could still serve breakfast and they said they had thrown away all the food that was for breakfast. I really thought that was an odd response. After that I went to the counter and asked if they could at least make me a poached egg in the microwave because I figured they had already prepared the kitchen for lunch and it would be simple enough to stick an egg in a cup of water and microwave it. One nice lady said yes, but another mean lady intervened and said no. I sat and had coffee with my power bar. The waiter was real nice and gave me 2 refills. Wouldn’t it had just been better if they had zapped that egg in the micro? My friend has some taco dish that looked pretty messy and greasy. I didn’t taste it but she said it tasted like taco bell. So if you like taco bell you will like their taco.

Overall good restaurant. We would go back. I loved my Indian taco and the gator bites! My husband thought the burger could have used a little more meat, but overall good.

Yuck, they cooked my food in grease that was not hot enough so my food was nasty. Paid bill and will never go back.
