Just took my civic for an oil change and i had an additional charge for a tire rotate that didn’t happen and supposedly all of my fluids were topped off. Didnt see that happen either. Never again. Just a bunch of crooks trying to make money. DONT GO!!!

Go to this Midas if you want to give your money to crooks and you want your vehicle to remain unfixed. Otherwise I would avoid it.
They offered a brakepad deal advertising $ 99 per axle then tried to convince me I had FOUR AXLES! My car wasn’t off the rack before I was on the phone with Attorney General consumer affairs investigators.
Until these con artists are shut down, please be forewarned.

Went in for an Insurance Inspection (takes 5 minutes or less). Five guys standing in the office doing nothing. Told me they were too busy and to come back later. ! ! ! ! Of course I didn’t.

Do not go to this place!!! I had flat tire and they couldnt even fix that right!! after fixing it my tire they did not balance it so car were shaking real bad so I went back and they took it for a ride to check without me inside and guy told me he drove it 80mph on busy street!! if you know the location of the store u know thats not possible. he told me all is good and it was not. later i went to a different repair shop and they balance the tire and fix the patch that was hanging out of tire. very bad dont go!!!

They were very nice and great in explaining things to me. They actually got me in right away without an appointment, and fix my car within two hours. I needed new brakes rotors and a few other nuances. Other then the price which I know that they cannot do anything about the service was fantastic and the people were very friendly.

I have a 2005 Acura TL. The air conditioning of my car stopped blowing. They tried to scam me. They told me that is because a bad blower motor resistor. They need to replace a new resistor and blower motor. I asked them if it is a bad resistor why they will need to replace a new blower motor. They told me it is because resistor and blower motor are stick together. They also told me they will need to change the cabin filter and recharge the air conditioning due to the refrigerant leaking. They want 600 to fix everything (this including 2 pounds refrigerant, but according to the manual, my car only need one pound refrigerant). 600 to fix everything is way too much. Therefore, I didn’t fix my car in their store. I fixed my car by myself recently. The truth is the wiring connector from the blower motor to the blower resistor was loose. I fixed it by myself. All I need to do is to plug it in. That’s it. It took me 10 sec and cost me nothing to fix it. That means the blower motor, blower motor resistor, and cabin fitter are good, and the refrigerant is not leaking. The reason they told me that the refrigerant is leaking is because they drain it on purpose. They were just trying to scam me.

Stay away from is place!
I was looking for a place to install a batery i just bought for $ 200 at auto zone (they would not install it themselves) as this is for a jaguar. After 3 mechanics who refused to install it because they were affraid of that type of car, they were actually honest and told me «we dont want to temper with a car like this». Fine.
When i got at midas, Miguel at the front desk said there was no problem, they would do it right away for $ 29 something! I was glad i finally found a place willing to help.
After they handled my car and installed the new battery, i paid ($ 35 exactly) and i got back in the car.
I started hearing a sound like one vent was blowing, so i turned on my car to check the AC, but the on/​off button for the ac would not work anymore, so my ac was blowing hot air (even while car was off) and i could not turn on the whole system anymore.
No need to say that before they touched my car everything was FINE!
I got out the car and let miguel know, he said they will check. After a few minutes of them saying «its weird we just put the battery» and going around the car, and checking the fuses (not really thoroughly) miguel came back to me and said there was nothing wrong and that they did their job and that «maybe you brought it like this»!
I then looked for the manager, who turned out to be the rudest person on site. Luis his name, told me i didnt know anything about cars and that he doesn know himself what happened, and that they would gladly check… For $ 89.99! I said i would not leave until my car was fixed but this «manager» said they would not do anything, would not refund me, and just wanted me to leave basically. I never saw hime again during the 2 hours i stayed… for nothing.
That is the worst place ever, dishonest people and rude. Stay away from them as just try to get your money and know nothing about CUSTOMER SERVICE. They should not be in business anymore.
I have now to pay (seems it will be a lot) to fix what THEY broke on my car.
Needless to say i will not be going back to this place.

I just got scammed out of $ 370. Went in for an Oil Leak. The following morning, the car was still leaking oil. They said they could correct the problem for an additional $ 700. Terrible!!! The problem should’ve been fixed the first time.

They did a great oil change and it’s very easy to get to as it’s right off 2^nd Ave. The people were nice and friendly.
Came here because it’s proximity from my office — but happy to bring my business back for the next oil change.
Fair prices and very clean (well as clean as you can get for a car garage).

IMPORTANT: DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO MIDAS. I ignored the negative reviews and came to Midas out of convenience. I’ve learned my lesson. In Unilocal I trust. Don’t have this happen to you. I came in for a simple oil change. Here’s my story.
Strike One: I have new tires on my car yet they insisted that the tires need to be rotated and that alignment/​balancing was off… definitely not true. Tires are a month old.
Strike Two: Once I pick up my car and drive away I notice that the turning signals and headlights are not working. I go back to Midas and they run diagnostics on the car. I’m told I have a faulty battery. What a coincidence my battery began failing after service at Midas. They insist I need a new battery and claim they don’t have a battery charger. I give them the ok to replace my battery. I’m fuming and decide I don’t want to give them anymore of my money. I have the technician reinstall my old battery and guess what? The lights come back on. Those assholes had loosened my battery connections. Im sure of it.
Strike Three: The next day the oil light comes on in my car. I refuse to go back to have them check the light. I’ll be going to a dealer certified mechanic from now on.
Fuck Midas. Fuck Pierre the Manager and fuck their entire service crew. They are all crooks.

I’ve been going to this Midas since January of this year. At first it was just for oil changes, but now, my car of 10 years and 120k miles is finally crying out for some MAJOR brake and suspension work. It’s a frustrating experience — seeing your car falling apart and trying to gauge whether it’s time to call it quits and get a new one. But since my care is a Toyota Corolla, I’m confident it will make it for at least another 50k miles on these mean Miami roads if I just breathe a bit more life into it. And this Midas has worked with me to keep my costs reasonable relative to a dealership refresh for such an old car.
One of the main reasons that I keep coming back here is the Service Manager, Pierre. Pierre is great at diagnosing problems in the car based on issues I hear or feel while driving. More importantly, he has taken it upon himself to know and remember my car and myself. I don’t feel like just another customer. It’s almost as if he is a personal advisor — recommending work that is critical to my wife’s and my safety on our 45min commute and advising where I may be able to wait a bit on other work. This makes me feel comfortable in the decisions that I make on keeping my car safe while keeping the amount of money that I put into the car within reason.
When Pierre is not around, the mechanics and attendants that help me out are also friendly and professional.
I’ll be coming to this location and recommending it to others for a while as long as they keep up this great service and great work.

I tried to have a tire rotation service done to my car here. After making an appointment with them, to make sure I did not have to wait around all day for my car. I went ahead and took my car the day of my appointment, left my car there and they said the service will take 45 minutes 1 hour at the most. two hours go by and no call back from Midas, I call them to see what the status is, they said 20 more minutes and my car will be ready, at this point I am already upset that they are taking way longer than what they had estimated. Finally they call me 4 hours 15 minutes after I drop off my car, and they say that I need new tires, I say I can’t get new tires now, 4 hours later so please just stick to the tire rotation, and they say they will not do that since new tires are required. I had my car inspected at my dealership and new tires are not due yet, but according to them I need them. They took 4 hrs 15 minutes to tell me they will not take care of my car, worst customer service ever!!! Please save your time and money since they are also a rip off, and go somewhere where they respect peoples time and good customer service is offered. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!

Rip-​off artists!
Took my car in as brake & ABS lights were lit in dashboard.
They said they need to do a computer check at cost of $ 70. Afterwards they gave me an estimate of well over $ 500 to replace the master brake cylinder ($ 175 part, 275 labor. plus, plus). They also showed me that there was wear on front tires and gave me an estimate of another almost $ 600 for all 4 tires ($ 60 ea. tire plus mounting, balancing, etc). I have never before heard of labor and mounting charges for tires amounting to more than the cost of the tires themselves.
So I went shopping. Ended up buying the brake cylinder online (a new one not rebuilt) and had it installed for a total cost of $!85. Way less than half the original estimate. What’s more I got 2 others labor estimates that were all in the same range as what I paid.
As for the tires, turns out I only need new ones in the front, not the rear and I will now get them replaced for substantially less than what Midas quoted me.
Shame on you guys! You will never see me again and I will, over time, relate my story to everyone I know in the area.

I saw the reviews on here but I decided to give them a try anyways. Needless to say, I’ll never go back there. The guys quoted me a price over the phone (knowing the make and model of the car) and when I got there 15 minutes later, they decided to tell me a completely different price.
The young guys that work there don’t care for the customers that come in. They need to take their jobs a little more seriously.

Called me to tell me my car would be ready in an hr. An hour later, I called and asked if my car was ready and they said «yes, it’s ready now! Come on in!»
So, I head over and arrive 15 minutes later only to be told that the part they need isn’t even in yet, and I’ll need to wait for it to get there to be installed.
After waiting for 30+ minutes! I got frustrated and said I wanted a refund? MAGICALLY the car was ready 3 minutes later.
I shouldn’t have to wait when I’m told specifically that my car is ready to be picked up, i shouldn’t have to threaten a refund to get them to do their jobs and I DEFINITELY shouldn’t have to raise my voice in order to get service EVER.

I just had my car serviced and they did a great job. Every time i have gone to this place, they have been right on the money with it. When something is wrong with either one of my cars, they physically show me the problem. Also the fact that, I’m familiar with cars and had race them, I know when someone is trying to pull a fast one, and these guys, have not. I was so happy, I bought them pizza!!!

Terrible service. I went for a 15 000 mile service on my Audi, they told me they could do it, charged me for it, and only when I went to pick up my car, they told me that they don’t have the computer to re-​set my car computer after the service is (supposedly) done. So my car still showed as if the service had not been done. Which meant I had to pay someone else to do that, when I had already paid Midas for it. They are absolute liars and their customer service is nonexisting.

Brought the car here for an insurance check-​up, it took 20 minutes and they were very friendly.

Took my car for a tune up, and they «found» a screw in one of my tires. I paid to have it fixed, the tire kept loosing air and I couldn’t understand why. Then about a month later I found the magical screw back in the same tire.
Just take your car down the street to Plaza Tire & Auto Center and they’ll do a better job for less money.

So, I’m done with this place. I tried to take my car in multiple times because it’s close to home and they continuously are impossible to schedule appointments with. The people are rude to you on the phone and I remember it took FOREVER to do my oil change when I brought it here before. I do not need to be treated like crap, there are better places to bring your car for service… where the people actually care.
