Not sure I can recommend this dude. He’s definitely a cool guy, but the work he did in our place was less than impressive. First off, he showed up with a clump of tools in a Trader Joe’s bag. And the bag didn’t really contain all of the implements he might have used on the projects we talked about on the phone. He charged $ 60 for the house call + $ 40 an hour, I recall. That’s $ 100 for the first hour of work, which is kind of crazy when you think about it.(To be fair, he asked for less than that at the end of the day, since he was only here for 40 minutes.) He carried out a number of small tasks a little more quickly than I would have been able to do so myself. So that’s great. But when it came to fixing a lock, he banged the CRAP out of a metal door frame and the lock latch with his hammer. He also tore the crap out of a particleboard sheet I asked him to saw a small hole in(to feed A/V cords through). I was horrified at what I saw, but it was to plate to say anything. The damage had been done. But DVD player now rests comfortably in its bay. And the lock works now. Kind of.. ..

Mike shows up on time and gets the job done. He is reasonably priced. He fixes everything, and if he doesn’t know exactly how, he’ll figure it out and come back. He doesn’t waste your time and money playing around.

I called Handyman Mike and he came out Fast, arrived on time — had no issues — gets the job done fast and well. Very good quality of service, professional and reasonably priced. He showed me some things I could do in the future and other excellent advice, so I will definitely use him again and recommend him:)
