Mike’s Pro Shop

I too tried to bring in a ball that I had purchased somewhere else and requested that the plug and redrill the ball. But he gave some lame excuse that the ball was too old and since it was rubber that it could not be replugged. Which is total BS. I know that you can plug and redrill any ball. He tole me that he was going to punish his workers for sanding out my rubber that it ruined a 50 cent sanding pad. The guy is too full of himself and he is no professional in my opinion.
When I ran my business there is always a solution to an issue. He is no professional because he should never tell a customer they are wrong or that his equipment is too old. He said he would not touch the ball and that he was not willing to change the belts on his drill press just for one customer. This is total bs. He said to me that if I wanted to plug and redrill the ball myself the more power to me. Well if i wanted to do it myself I wouldn’t have gone to him in the first place. But I’m a 1000 miles from home and all of my equipment. This is a case of someone being so narcissistic with himself that he does not realise that one pissed off customer with access to the masses can have his voice heard and cause people to boycott his business. I was more than willing to pay for the prices to have my ball redrilled but his attitude is totally rotten.

Mike Hamilton is very knowledgeable about all aspects of bowling. His pro shop carries all the best bowling ball brands. I have had several balls drilled by Mike & I’m very happy with the finished product. He is also a top coach & can help the beginner or advance bowler get to that next level. Mike’s shop is great! Located inside Bird Bowl. The staff is knowledgeable and their prices are fair. Great service!

Firstly, Mike is simply an amazing guy. He is the owner and the coach of the shop. The other employees are knowledgeable and very nice as well. Enrique and Chris are very helpful to the new as well as the seasoned bowlers.
They have a lot of bowling stuff from top of the line balls to shoes. All the accessories you need are also available there. They are supportive of the newbies and that is one of the best part.
Kudos to the Pro Shop.

located inside Bird Bowl Lanes, the shop is to the immediate right as you walk in through the main entrance of bowling alley facing bird rd.
it is not very big but it does carry everything you need for bowling from bowling balls to shoes to accessories…
if you purchase a ball there, mike, the owner himself will measure your hand up and customize the ball for you per your specs.
they also offer cleaning and polishing services as well as resurfacing, etc.
my better half went all out w a nice red marble resin slingshot twelve pounder w matching bag and some cool dexter black shoes to go w it! not too shabby for a beginner eh?!
i brought my 23yr old ebonite 14 pounder in for polishing and w one look, mike was able to tell me that the thumb hole was completely off angle, round drilled instead of oval (in all fairness, that kind of technology back then was non-​existent) and 5x larger than actual fit. everything is precisely measured and w digital equipment the holes are made to fit you perfectly… given my experience in the past, i knew something was off w my bowling ball so i decided to have mine re-​drilled and this time to actually fit me right! the process will take a few days but i can’t wait to feel the difference!
we had originally gone to a major retail sports shop to get my better half her own bowling gear and i am so happy that they no longer carry bowling equipment bec in the end, that is how we ended at mike’s pro shop!
looks like we started our newest hobby! endless strikes a comin’ baby!!!
