Kids! Which this place is totally built for, from games, wall drawings, little stools so they can step up on to see all the different flavors. Great Blue Bell ice cream(banana pudding) is my favorite. Also tons of mix ins and treats, cakes, cup cakes. Adults, They have amazing salads and sandwiches, free wi-fi, and great service usually from the owner who is a perfectionist so everything is perfect!

Given that the atmosphere is meant for kids, this place is great for adults as well. It’s a cute little ice cream shop on a corner in Miami Shores. The ice cream they provide is Blue Bell so you already know the ice cream is going to be delicious and not only that, the prices are great! One can never go wrong at Mooie’s when you’re craving some ice cream and want to enjoy it the old fashioned way, in a parlor! They also make cakes that look really impressive. Also, they provide cards and after 5 visits, your 6th visit your ice cream is free. Nice job Mooie’s! Really recommend on you checking it out!

Although I am not much of an ice cream fan, I’ve tried the ice cream here on several occasions and can say that it is very good. They serve Blue Bell ice cream and have a large selection of toppings to mix(a la Cold Stone) or whip into a milkshake. Although this is a kid –oriented establishment, Mooie’ actually has some goodies to keep the adults coming back as well. What is really surprising about Mooie’s is the quality of their food! They have a pretty impressive selection of healthy salads and sandwiches to choose from. I have had their #2 Salad which is Chicken, Sun-dried tomatoes, almonds, red onion, and mozzarella on greens. This salad is awesome. I have also tried their Prosciutto and Mozzarella Panini which is also very tasty. You can also make your own salad/sandwich or just add meat to any of their selections. All of the selections are extremely reasonably priced under $ 10. Miami Shores desperately needed a sandwich/salad takeout place and Mooie’s fits the bill.

I’ve been to this place a couple of times and it’s one of those places you go because it’s a local business and it’s cute. They use Blue Bell ice cream instead of Edy’s, which is what every other ice cream shop uses. I tend to find Blue Bell too sweet at times, but a change is welcomed. The baked goods are OK. I bought a red velvet cake and a carrot cake slice and thought Publix cake tastes better and is cheaper than the $ 4.50 they charge. The one thing I do like about this place is that it caters to little kids more than adults. If you have a family or are kid sitting, you might want to take the kids here. They really to cater to the little ones. The music isn’t too loud either and the service is really nice. Based on price and cake«performance» I’ll give this place 3 Stars. The Good: It seems to cater more towards children. Good and polite service. Place is very clean. They have an outside grass area. The bad: The cakes are OK. Not really worth the price. It can get pricey.

Milkshake milkshake milkshake! They have Blue Bell ice cream(way better than Edys) and can mix any concoction of your choosing to craft your personalized milkshake. Independently owned(but with a ben and jerrys feel to it) with plenty of indoor tables and a couple outdoor picnic tables. Great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I just went to Mooie’s today, and it was awesome! First of all, the place is adorable. The colors and design are so cute, and you can definitely tell this place serves sweets. They have sandwiches and stuff too, which I didn’t try, but it seemed like pretty basic stuff. We split a huge bowl with ice cream, brownie chunks, hot fudge, and whipped cream. It was DELICIOUS. We couldn’t even finish it. We also split a slice of red velvet cake. I will probably pass on the cake next time and stick to the ice cream. It was okay, but not great. I felt like the cake wasn’t really moist– an indication that maybe it was made a day or two ago. Prices were reasonable, and the staff was so friendly. We will definitely come back for ice cream. They also have chairs and a picnic bench out back by the parking lot which is great for kids to play while the family enjoys their ice cream.

Mooie’s is a new ice cream parlor that opened up on the depressed section of NE2nd St in Miami Shores. That street had been under construction for so long, that many storefronts went out of business our moved out of the area. Putting an ice cream parlor up in that intersection makes for a great addtion. The ice cream is good on any day in Miami, they have a great selection of other things to eat, and they have a nice grassy back yard area with lawn furniture and bean bag toss type games.

Wow! This is a great little ice cream shop in Miami Shores. I never noticed it before until my boyfriend and I were getting gas at the Chevron station(ugh! way too expensive for gas!) and saw that they had sandwiches and panini’s. So, we stopped in for lunch and the food ws terrific! I had the turkey, brie, and pear panini and my boyfriend had the chicken wrap on whole wheat. Everything is made to order and it was the perfect little mid-day meal. They have some nice outdoor areas on the side and a little play yard in back for kids or dogs, too, but it’s just too darned hot to sit out these days. I would definitely go there again, even though it was a little pricey for just sandwiches — then again, this *is* Miami Shores!

First of all, Blue Bell Ice Cream is the BEST ice cream in the country. Hands down. I have been driving past this little place for a whole month on my way to work and last week noticed that they only sell Blue Bell Ice Cream! I ran it past my better half and we decided to make a quick stop in. The décor is LOUD, Quirky and FUNFUNFUN! As soon as we walked from our car to the entrance, we noticed they had activities for kids on their back lawn and benches to sit and lounge on. When we walked through the doors I was floored! I wanted to touch and eat everything! All their baked goods looked fresh and DELICIOUS!!! The Ice Cream selection may not be large but boy is it mouth watering! The staff also seemed genuinely happy to help and let you try stuff out and got kicks when your eyes rolled back in BLISS! When we finally did order and sat down, we took the whole place in. As a teacher, I was thrilled by the children’s art work on the walls and the comfy seats and sofa. Kids came in with their pets, parents with their toddlers and even a «Suit» came in to partake in the joys of ice cream. Its an excellent place to people watch, interact with the neighborhood, or take your girlfriend for an late afternoon treat, such as was the case with me! They also serve wraps and easy foods. I did not pay too much attention to this but I am going back to try them out and make sure to indulge with desert!

Blue Bell ice cream is a hidden gem from the Lone Star state. Mooie’s is a Miami Shore’s hidden gem. The service was fast & friendly suggesting a yummy brownie sundae treat. I got a rewards card and plan on filling it for my free scoop. Now to wait for the Mexican praline to come in.

Located across from Village Café there is a new place on the block of NE2nd Ave and 96Th St. The place is called Mooies and it’s more than just ice cream. There also have Cold Sandwiches, Panini’s and Baked Goods. The location itself is full of color, big bright colors at that. The walls are yellow and the chairs are yellow(Feel the yellow!!). The tables have this checkerboard pattern on them. There are also the ever-popular chalkboards that list their menu. Cherries decorate the wall ok ok … enough about the colors and on to the food. Even though it was a bit chilly outside I could not resist a cold sandwich. The sandwiches are served on baguette or chibatta bread. I opted for the turkey, Brie, pear and arugula on chibatta, which was good, but it was missing something. That something is something that has been missing in every turkey/brie sandwich since The News took it off their menu. The missing ingredient is no other than Mango Chutney. That would’ve put this sandwich into awesome territory, but regardless it was still good and served with a side salad. I did mention this place sells ice cream right? Well yes, they do and they have my favorite ice cream, which is Pistachio Almond. The chilly weather outside didn’t stop me from enjoying a cone. Small cones are $ 3 and large ones are $ 4, which is pretty damn good. As I write this review I’m thinking about going to get another cone. So whether you want a sandwich or an ice cream cone Moonie’s can take care of either.
