Service-​oriented businesses are always a challenge to find in Miami. When one of our central A/C’s stopped cooling, I saw the positive review for Net Temp and decided to give them a try. During my first call, I was met by a courteous representative who scheduled a same-​day appointment within a 1-​hour window (compare that to Comcast’s ‘we’ll be there between 8 and 6′) and they arrived as promised. The technician seemed knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly (a leak), recharged the unit and recommended replacement.
When I requested a quote for the replacement, it arrived promptly but lacked many useful details and the price was very high ($ 3500 for a unit to cover about 500 sqft).
In summary, I’d strongly recommend using Net Temp for heating/​cooling repairs that were fairly priced. When it comes to new installs or existing replacements, their prices may be prohibitive.

Where would anyone in Miami be without Air Conditioning??? NO WHERE, that’s for sure! And as summer is quickly approaching, and the temperatures do find themselves rising, our luck would have it that the AC decided to start calling it quits on us, and neither one of us could handle it. NO GOOD. Why do Mondays always start with a hassle?
So, who to call? I asked my parents for their AC tech guy, as well as some coworkers. I received some off-​the-​wall quotations over the phone and was beginning to get desperate. Not to mention an upcoming weekend get-​away that had me MORE than budget conscious. So I looked at my boss, the Property Manager, and asked him if our contractors that we use here at work do residential repairs. He suggested I call them and find out for myself. So of course I did.
The owner of your company is Tony Fariñas. He is very knowledgeable about AC issues, always prompt, and never says something he isn’t going to do and/​or come through with. RELIABLE is in the motto. I spoke to Tony, letting him know that I was the assistant here at my office, etc, and that my own personal AC at home had decided it’d seen better days. I told him of the other estimates and that I was getting ready for a vacation and needed the AC repaired sometime this week. He informed me not to worry any more and that he would make arrangement with the BF to get one of his guys to the house.
At 6:00pm, the AC tech met us at the house. And, as luck would have it this time, the AC turned on! WTF?!? I KNEW this would happen… But after some tests, the AC started acting up again, and at least now I knew he could actually see the problem and be able to find a solution. By 730pm (the rain held up long enough for him to finish!) we had a new motor thingie (I think that is what he said broke, but what do I know?) installed in the unit. When it did sprinkle some, we let him use our garage to rebuild the part that needed fixing.
Long story short, our AC was fixed like new. The repair tech was very friendly and informational, showing the BF all the parts along the way, where the problem was, what the problem was, etc. He showed us the broken part and the new piece he was installing. At the end, everything was priced VERY reasonably and the repairs were completed without a hassle.
I have never had to deal with calling contractors and repairing things at home, etc, as my experience has always been in apartments. Now knowing just how expensive EVERYTHING in a house is to repair, its nice to see that there are still HONEST businesses out there that don’t try to charge you more than the repairs are really worth.
