Although we’ve lived in the area for years, we first discovered Old World Pizza in the fall of 2015. I highly recommend it! The pizzas taste fresh — plum tomatoes make for a great sauce too. For those who like Anthony’s Coal Fired, you’ll like Old World … except, Anthony’s doesn’t deliver and Old World does. There might be a bit of a wait to get some pies delivered on the weekend evenings, but they’re always courteous on the phone. It’s also convenient that you can pay by-the-slice and pick up a couple slices on the way home from work(my son’s favorite).

Pizza is awesome and if it wasn’t for the mission every time I want to order I would give it 5 stars. Each time I call I get no answer. The line rings and after 5 rings it stops. I’ve had to go in person 3 different times just to get my order placed. Like I said awesome pizza, but if I can’t call in advance its just an inconvenience that takes up my time!

Nice little pizza joint. I wished that the pizza crust was a little crispier but the flavor was good. The staff was friendly even though our kids were writing all over their wall with the chalk, sorry. lol. We will be back but we will ask for the crust to be well done.

After checking Unilocal and seeing the rating Old World had achieved, I was pretty excited about checking this spot out. I am originally from NY and I get pretty hyped up about trying any non-commercial pizza spot or pizzeria. Old World really disappointed. An outrageous amount of grease, dough with a taste that left a lot to be desired, and ingredients that truly didn’t taste fresh. Although the guy running the counter/register seemed like a pretty cool guy, I probably won’t be going back when there are far better options nearby.

I can’t believe that I am writing a bad review for Old Pizzeria. I love their pizza if I was just able to order it. p They either don’t pick up the phone, pick up and leave you on hold forever, cannot provide an accurate time for delivery. It’s crazy but I have given up on this place. You want to support small businesses but this is where they go wrong. Terrible customer service. What a shame! !!

My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken pesto pizza here for pick up. The pizza was delicious but we were surprised at the price for one pie. I suppose thats what you pay for good food! One day I would like to come back and check out the slices special they have. Until then this is great for when you want a little more from your normal Pizza Hut or Dominos pizza.

One of the best pizza places you will find in Kendall. Highly recommend ordering a fresh pie but you can get the special that is a great deal. Obviously the slices are from already made pizzas but a few minutes in the oven does the trick. Very good.

Okay, if you’re looking for authentic Italian pizza, this is the place. The pizza here is the closest thing I have ever gotten to the pizza I had back when I studied abroad in Rome. It is phenomenal! It’s a quaint little place with chalkboard walls you can write on. The owner is this little old man who is always there and present in his business– which is nice to see. You can get a combo of two huge slices and a soda for a little over $ 5 but go earlier in the day because they don’t sell by the slice later at night– only whole pies. Still, I truly love this place!

Open late and offers decent pizza. Their white pizza is more memorable than their regular slice of cheese.

The best pizza to have in West Kendall! Highly recommended for a taste of classic NY style pizza.

MMM. My favorite pizza place in Kendall.(Conveniently located a few blocks from my house as well!) I like thin crust pizza with a light amount of sauce, and that’s exactly what they serve here. I was waiting to write this review until I had tried a variety of the items on their menu. So far, we’ve had all three of their sandwiches(meatball parm, eggplant parm, and chicken parm), their cheese, meatball, veggie lovers(w/white sauce), sausage, and pepperoni pizza, their antipasto salad, and their cannoli’s. There’s only one thing on that list that I dislike, and full disclosure: I’m just about the pickiest eater in West Kendall! Let’s talk about pizza! Their pizza is always delicious. It tastes just as good the next day, although it rarely ever lasts that long in my house! Pro tip: don’t order anything smaller than a Large, because you’ll be sadly disappointed at the sizes! Once, my dad ordered a small pizza for me, and when it was delivered I literally laughed in the poor delivery guys face because the pizza looked like it was meant for my cat! We love the cheese pizza(my personal fav.) The pepperoni, sausage, and meatball are also delicious. The meatball pizza doesn’t come with round meatballs, it comes with slices of meatballs, making it much easier to eat! There’s a perfect ratio of cheese to sauce, and I haven’t found a place that beats the flavor of Old World. My dad and aunt L O V E the veggie lovers pizza with white sauce and anchovies. I can’t stand it, and refuse to even pick it up for them because it makes my car stink so badly. To each their own, I guess! The sandwiches! I personally don’t care for eggplant or chicken parm, but I enjoyed both of these sandwiches! My top pick would definitely be the meatball parm. Fair warning, you won’t be receiving a Subway style sandwich with a soft bread roll, and toppings galore. They use a special bread,(explained further in their menu) which is almost like a pizza crust. The sandwich is strictly meat(or eggplant), cheese, and bread. Very balanced and full of vitamins and nutrients! Antipasto Salad: Honestly, I could make this myself at home. However, I’m lazy, and prefer to pay people to make my food for me! You get a bed of lettuce, topped with: artichoke slices, black olives, marinated mushrooms, pepperoni, salami, two types of mozzarella(hard, and soft), ham, a pepperoncini, and a container of balsamic dressing. I love this plate! It’s such a perfect side dish to their pizzas and subs. I could honestly eat this salad by itself and be content! Cannoli’s. It’s a cannoli! It’s delicious by default. As you can see from the amount of detail I’ve put into this review, I love this place. I hope that you will as well!

Good ingredients plus expert handiwork plus a brick oven. What more do you need for a corner pizza place. Inexpensive too! Only drawback in opinion is that they don’t have drink refills. Annoying but not a deal breaker. Two thumbs up!

Finally decent pizza in west kendall! I’ve tried many places but this is the best to date– great crust, quality cheese, just enough sauce. Well try it again.

I sent my husband to get some cannoli’s(my sister-in-law loves them and I wanted to send her some). However they didn’t have any left and so they made some fresh. They were amazing! Thank you Old World :)

Ordered a large pizza from Old World and the pizza was put in a box that was too small for its size. The pizza was folded in on itself. Not sure why they would send it out that way because it’s obvious the pizza would arrive in bad condition. I guess since it was delivery, they were willing to take the chance of having disappointed customers. And it was unfortunately room temperature. Not the best experience this time around.

I just ordered from this place tonight for dinner and what a waste of money… The subs are not subs but made on panini bread which tastes like it was stale. I ordered a meatball sub it taste like dog food! My daughter ordered a Italian sub the pepperoni still had the casing on it so when you tried to bite the panini literally the string was hanging from her mouth. Then I called to tell them I wanted to talk to the Manager who’s name is Hymie! Basically he told me we’ll that’s how it comes just like that, I asked him what meat has strings on it from the casing and his reply«that’s how it comes» Hymie a man of many words!!! SAVEYOURMONEY.

With my name being Italian, I consider myself a pizza expert.(Never mind the flawed logic there…) Thin, crispy, light, hand tossed crusts are their specialty. Homemade sauce, sliced(not shredded) mozzarella, fresh toppings, and a bona-fide, gas fired brick oven all combine to bring you one of the best pizzas in West Tami-Kendall. I usually do carry out because delivery times can be a tad long. If you’re looking for a quick slice, they have a daily special of two slices and a drink for under $ 6.00 — can’t really beat that. Now remember, these crusts are traditionally thin, so easy on the toppings. Otherwise, you’ll get a wibbly-wobbly slice that may end up on your lap. Besides, as a any true pizza aficionado knows, anything more than cheese and one other topping on a thin crust is overload. Are you hungry yet? Old World Pizza has an internet thingamabob here — Feel free to browse…

I love pizza but this one required a bit more chewing… It wasn’t hard it was just not as soft I guess. The flavor was alright, just something I wouldn’t crave again. I also ordered there«garlic bread» which is pizza dough with garlic bread ingredients pretty much — it was in a pie shape. I give it 4 stars because the customer service was good and the pizza wasn’t awful, but not a pizza I prefer.

I love thin crust pizza, decided to give this place a try. Ordered a cheese«medium» and a pepperoni«medium» since there was a special of 2x $ 20. I looked at the sample sizes they have laid out since my family wasn’t too hungry, but the«large» looked like a medium, so that was not going to work. Ended up getting two«mediums». We ate those and were satisfied, but these pizzas are definitely very small for their prize. Taste was ok. It could have been cooked a while longer for crispy ness. Overall, I will not be ordering for family from here, but for a quick lunch, they have good special. Service: The guy taking orders explained the menu well and was polite. Place looked clean and had a nice casual atmosphere. Side note: Not sure if it’s because of the time I visited(about 8pm) but the pizzas kept on the stand upon arrival did not look appetizing. Not sure if those are ones left over from lunch special or what.

Let’s dissect the actual pizza. The crust is simple. Not to thin, but not thick either. Let’s just call it the magical in between. Sauce– although there was a lot of sauce on the pizza, it still felt light and olive oil-y. I am not a big fan of too much sauce, but this one complimented the dough really well, so I didn’t complain. Cheese– instead of your usual grated cheese, they put slices on the pizza. A lot of places do this so you feel like your pizza isn’t cheesy enough but this was definitely not the case. REALLYREALLY good and gooey! Garlic bread– it is actually a pizza(think focaccia). not bad but also not something I would order again. Although the pizza is «ready to warm» when you get there, it still tasted super fresh. The counter service is good, although you will often have to wait for them to answer the phone and take orders before placing yours. They have a constant stream of people, generous portions, great pricing and a cool ambiance, which validates its stellar ratings on Unilocal. Definitely a place to try!
