Found this seafood/neighborhood dive by chance while taking a walk around the ‘hood. No frills, no nonsense straight up fresh seafood goodness. Had a craving for shrimp creole and Maria the cook, prepped it for me even though it wasn’t on the day’s menu! From scratch! That’s unheard of nowadays, especially during lunch rush. If you like it fancy, this place is not for you; if you like it plain, clean and tasty, then pay them a visit.

Off the beaten path but worth the ride. True fish market with lots of fresh fish. Don’t wear good clothes. I bought a huge 10 lb. snapper for $ 30 and have had fish for 3 days and put plenty in the freezer. They have many varieties of fish and it is fresh.

The best prices and the freshest fish like Yellow Tail, Red Fish, Hog Snapper ect. Not for the faint of heart or for those believe that pink elephants can fly and we live in a perfect world. Be prepared to walk on wet fish tainted watered and slippery floor while shopping. Do not go if you are in a hurry. Once you enter the market, grab the gloves offered and grab a hand basket. Place your items in the basket and pay. They will then clean the fish for you for free. thanks to my multilingualism and knowledge of the types of local fish offered, I never have an issue with anyone there. I leave content with a cooler full of fresh fish and a pocket full of money.

Aside from going out to the water and doing your own fishing, this is the best spot in the city to get your seafood. Always fresh and inexpensive. Can’t beat yellowtail snappers for less than $ 2 per pound.

This place have different menus through the week, delicious home cooked meal, great food and great quantity. The only complain in the sitting arrangements, but not a big deal.

This place is crazy but good. Some very fresh fish. You pick what you want and they clean and cut it how you like it. You can tell by the fish eyes how fresh everything is. If your a whole foods type looking for everything clean and beautiful this place is not for you.

my go to place for fresh blue runner, mullet — red and gray, and Spanish mackerel(local catch). They should be having bluefish from the north soon. Snappers and groupers are a plenty too but not sure if local. I found a fish bag with a tag that showed: caught in India! The salmon is from Chile, farmed. $ 5/pound for whole fish purchase. The bacaloa with bones is a good find too and fairly priced at $ 6/pound(fr Canada). Bags of frozen shrimp and conch can be bought fr this place. source ??? Cheap heirloom tomatoes during summer. It also has a cooked fish eatery inside the market. Mostly fried fish. Tried once a combo– rice and beans with plantains. Fish was dry. Stick with the raw fish, clean ‘em at home to avoid the long lines. Lots of patrons with coolers during weekends. Park at nearby Wendy’s for a no hassle parking space(buy an item fr their dollar menu and display it on dashboard). Very nice and decent people running the place. open everyday. Sunday open until noon only.

the real deal, def bring shoes you can wash afterwards & a spare to wear home. took a bit to figure out the system to select & pay, but take your time, watch others. Super cheap Limes, 15 for a $ 1. Very fresh fish. Grilled whole yellowtail snapper & it was amazing.

Excellent place to buy seafood cheap! Affordable, always fresh. I’ve been shopping at Omar’s for 4 years now. I live in Broward, but even when I lived in Port Saint Lucie I made the trip because it was well worth it. All you need is a deep freezer, make one trip and stock up. Take a cooler or two with you and they will give you shaved ice to pack with too! Excellent value on Conch! I once purchased a FULLBUCKET of fresh conch(the provider had just delivered it in salt water) for $ 47! That surely beats the average $ 13.99 per pound at local markets for darkened meat conch which is never fresh. Enjoy — wear protective shoes(old sneakers not flip flops because there is water everywhere and with the way things smell you mentally will not want anything to touch the skin on your feet). Take your time, enjoy a meal while they clean your fish.

It’s a place for you to buy cheap fish, shrimp, and more fish. It’s not a very big place but they sell fish for cheap small grouper $ 2.99 a pound; big grouper $ 3.99 a pound; fish head $ 1.59 a pound. Don’t wear any nice shoes to there because the floor is wet and dirty. They are not too organize after you ordered the fish; you will have to walk out of the place and re-enter into anther door and wait for 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 mins to have someone to clean the fish you ordered. If you don’t mind to clean your own fish it’s OK because you can just come in and out. But if you are like me, don’t really know how to clean a fish. Please prepare to spend some time in this place. Their parking space are small and most of the people have to park at the meter outside on the public street. All the meter around that area is our of service which while you are waiting for your fish to be clean; you are worry about yr car being tow.
