Pizza Roma

I’ll give the food a decent rating, but only because Aventura doesn’t have many casual, pizza /​Italian restaurants. So nothing to compare it to — certainly doesn’t rival NY Italian food by any stretch.
Good pizza, and pretty good chicken parmigiana. But, it’s hard to screw up anything when it’s covered with lots and lots of cheese and tomato sauce.
Food is better delivered because if you eat in, the staff — the cashier, the waitresses, the manager are all SO RUDE, UNPLEASANT and SO NASTY! Such a shame, and, it’s always been this way! If you call, they’re snotty and impolite. If you dine in, you’d think you’re putting them out and imposing on them by being there. No one greets you, smiles, and they begrudgingly answer your questions about the food and the menu, etc.
Lastly, every employee there is dressed like they’re going to clean out their garage. The cashier and waitresses look slovenly and dumpy, and the rest of the staff look unkempt and sloppy. No neat, clean uniforms, no attention to detail in their physical appearance at all. We’re not looking for beauty queens to serve us, but how about a clean T-​shirt that fits properly, and doesn’t accentuate the rolls, and I don’t mean the garlic rolls.
Like I said, because there is so little competition in the area, I guess this place feels they have a monopoly, and there’s no need to be focusing on customer service or appearance.
Two stars for the food, but zero stars for our horrible recent experience, and the ones before that one.

Great NY Pizza. If you want real authentic pizza in Aventura this is the place you my friend. Try them out. You will not be disappointed.

Large portions, great food, service and delivery is not free but some what quick depending on time ordered just try to not to order during peak hours as they may forget your salad dressing or parmesan cheese, I over look this as the portions are genuinely large family style. Cheese steak chicken parm, mozzarella sticks, chicken Franzese, eggplant parm are all very very good. Enjoy! Up charge for specialty sauce on the side of pasta that comes with your entrée and side salad, garlic rolls but it’s so worth the $ 2/​$ 3 for vodka sauce instead of a free marinara that comes as your side. My opinion. Overall this place is ROCKS!

Do NOT recommend this place. The service is terrible, the pizza is ok but some people working there are very rude and nasty. My family and I had a very bad experience there and will not come back ever again. The cashier insulted us for being latin and started screaming at me using the F word. It used to be a good place but not anymore. No stars for Pizza Roma.

It’s the best pizza I have tried in a long time. Since Miami has no idea how a pizza should taste like, people may say whatever, but for those who grew up in Europe, this is the best you can get. 5*

decent food but terrible service, won’t fix problems when given the chance, so off to Unilocal i go to warn others, if your order gets messed up, don’t expect to get a replacement or a full refund for what you paid. at least that was my experience. food is not bad but i don’t like to give people like this my business, especially when Sicilian Oven is down the street.

We have been coming here for a few years now and we love this place. My husband is pretty picky about pizza and this is his favorite place. The staff has always been nothing but friendly to us.

Best food ever!!! Fresh ingredients! Its a must!!! Five stars!!! Ordered the spaguetti with meat… Wow! Its great! Then ordered grandmas thin crust pizza… Wow!!! Everyone should taste it its super great food!

Service was so horrible. Our food took forever & when I asked our server what the hold up was she responded «I’m not the cook» also the girl up front was beyond rude. She charged my card for the wrong amount and said «she wasn’t a bank» when I asked when it would be returned. Basically cursed me out too. All that for totally bland food. This place sucks.

I don’t know what to say about this place. The service and food had always been reasonable. After ordering from them literally dozens of times, the past two have been adjust utterly ridiculous.
Their delivery driver, is for lack of the better word incompetent. Despite even being given the cell phone number, he somehow cannot manage to get through building security and have them let him up to the appropriate apartment.
This had never been an issue in the past, yet the last two times have bordered on ridiculous. Furthermore, the lady who I spoke to at the store proper was nothing but nasty and rude. After inquiring as to why my food hadn’t arrived yet, I received a phone call back saying the driver had come, called and left.
This was a blatant lie, as the calls from the store proper were fine but the drivers phone calls mysteriously never rang. The girl on the phone then had the audacity to say, that I was lying and he had called. Let’s think about how ridiculous that statement is. I’m waiting for my food delivery which I already paid for, and I’m not answering the delivery drivers call but am answering the one from the store?
I can handle mistakes and what amounts to sheer at best stupidity. However for an employee at the store to be so illogical and rude for what is at best rudimentary food (I mean it’s pizza) is beyond recourse.
I’d give the food a 2 but the service and staff that works there a 0. Oh and by the way since they now don’t even have the courtesy to answer their phone, I will let you know here, don’t even bother refunding my card. Keep the 25 bucks. It’s all yours. Go spend it lavishly lol and know that as someone who has lived and been a part of this community for a decade that I will make sure to tell everyone about how rude and terrible the service and employees there are.
After speaking with my buildings security (you would think I lived at the pentagon with all this nonsense) I was informed that despite being given explicit instructions as to what number to call the driver never informed security. So security proceeded to call a number which is currently attached to a person traveling through Europe.
Or perhaps this is all a giant conspiracy, and myself and security in my complex are all in on it to try to score some pizza…
As a side note, since this has humored me so greatly, I’m going to print out a copy of this Unilocal review and pin it to the news letter community board in my lobby. With somewhat over 400 units in my complex it should be rather enjoyable for many to read.

Just ordered three cold pizzas with the cheese falling off tasted like it was microwaved called the store to make a complaint and said the pizza was unacceptable to be told by the person on the phone that I was threatening them because I wanted a new pizza would never order from them again food quality is horrible and the service is atrocious just threw away 42 dollars…

I absolutely love the meat lasagna, as I’ve never been to this place physically I always get it delivered and it’s always amazing. Also the carrot cake you have to try!!!

Have been going to Pizza Roma for over 5 years time. It was great, than it got so so, than it got a little better, and now in May of 2015 this place is ROCKIN’!
With great new additions to the staff the delivery service is now on time. The new waitress (Mindy) is the sweetest person in the world!
What more can say? I’m very happy that I have a great Italian restaurant/​pizzeria in my hood!

Strip Mall off U.S. 1 in Aventura in a place you really have to be looking for to find it. With that said knowing how long it has been there and without any fanfare they must be doing something correctly as previously stated they have been here forever.
I’ve dined in small few tables with your basic Italian fare and pizza by the slice or by the entire pie as well. Have also sampled some of their sandwiches and other menu items over the countless visits here.
I can say that it is better than average yet not spectacular. Always friendly service is good & their delivery times considering where I live on the beach vs. their location has always been adequate.
Pizza is pretty good while their square Sicilian is a bit dry for my taste. Their Veal whether it be Parm in sandwich or in platter or served a variety of other was is always top notch considering the type of establishment it is.
All and all a solid place to go that will deliver the basics well every time out.

Yum sweet tomato sauce! Quick pizza and good service. 100% New York style pizza ah what a relief! You can’t find pizza like this for miles…

I’m giving one star because Unilocal doesn’t let you give no stars.
They told me one hour for delivery and it took them 2 hours. The girl on the phone said there was an accident but there was no accident anywhere near me. They offered 15% off for my next purchase. I’m never ordering again. The delivery guy said The girl who took the order gave him the wrong address. But 2 hours? I got the pizza free but I it was cold and uneatable. Take your money somewhere else!

Haven’t ordered Dom them in ages. Tried 2 weeks ago and the veal sandwich and eggplant sandwich were good. Also tried their pizza slice. Very nice. The order arrived in an hour and 40 minutes although it was promised in an hour. I guess they just forgot to apologize.
Since the pizza slice was good I decided to give their whole pizza another try. It did arrive in 40 minutes, good. It arrived ice cold, not good. However the cold pizza dough was totally dry, the way it was when I gave up on their pizza. Unfortunately the marguerite also had no flavor. Should have known better than to order their pizza.
If you must order from them order the sandwiches.

I have been coming here since the restaurant opened, and although I have moved around to other pizza places in Aventura, once again Pizza Roma is my go to place for pizza/​Italian take out. We probably order once or twice a month and never had any issues. Like I said, there are other places in Aventura, but this place is where we find ourselves going back to, when all the other places let us down.
The pizza is good, pricing is within reason, and I do like the fact that I can pull up, grab a few slices to go, and head out quick style. Other times, we call ahead and pick up pies, calamari, mozzarella sticks, salads, you name it, they have a diverse menu with pretty much anything you can think of for Italian, and more. .
I had a conversation with the owner when they first opened up, and he explained to me how he only uses fresh, high quality ingredients, and you can certainly taste it when you eat the food. My kids love the food as well.
As far as eating in, I have never done so, so I cant review, but I would imagine it to be a good experience, since the food is good for take out. Restaurant is not that big, and there is usually plenty of parking. Its easy to find, just east of US1 on 191 street. Give them a try if you are in the area.
