This place is great for lunch. Decently healthy and its usually very tasty for very reasonable prices.
I suggest the soups particularly but if you’re thinking about ordering the veggie burger which is described as if it were made in house but I’d double check if that’s actually available because I had the misfortune of ordering one and they tried passing a morning star garden veggie patty as their veggie burger. However, they were nice enough to replace it immediately when I called.
I’d give them more stars for price but it’s a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ depending on what you order and I can’t say i can depend that when trying something new it will be excellent but the prices definitely make up for it.

Ordered a pesto chicken sub which is huge 12 inches of deliciousness. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, I would’ve liked a little more pesto but other than that no complaints. Since I checked in through Unilocal I also received a free guava bread pudding which was so yummy. The best of all this is that all of this was only $ 8.95, now you can’t beat that price for lunch especially here in the gables. Definitely will be returning.

Love the Green Machine Juice, it’s a blend of green veggies & green fruits that fill my day with energy, just love it. Today I’m having the Breakfast wrap and it’s oh so yummmm! Healthy eating at its best.

The Cilantro Chicken is delicious and the service is topnotch. Will definitely go back!

PLATE is a small but unique restaurant that serves great food and provides many healthy options. I’ve only been to PLATE in the morning for breakfast and it’s amazing. Their food is always made to order. The only thing negative I can say is the fact that you come out smelling like the kitchen. If you don’t want your cloths to smell like food then I recommend eating outside. The inside seating is small but cozy and they also offer an outside seating area. The service at PLATE is fantastic. The staff members are friendly and helpful.

Not a huge fan. I chose their «new» Greek chicken wrap. Very simplistic; came with tomatoes, onions, chicken, tsastiki sauce, and lettuce. It was very underwhelming. The chicken was flavorless and the tsastiki sauce which was supposed to be the star, was anything but. Not to mention the people that work there all looked miserable; probably because they were tired of eating underwhelming sandwiches. The silver lining was the guava and cream cheese bread pudding! That’s the only thing I would have paid $ 8 for.

The house salad came with mold. They offered to give me a refund but never did. Terrible customer service.

Nice crew, good service, mediocre food. I ordered the chicken special and was all dark meat, so i ate the veggies. Half of the broccoli was rotten in the middle.
The bad broc was nothing compared to the smell that lingered in my hair, clothes, and purse when I left! I had to go home and put my dress straight into the wash! Smelled so, so bad.
Two stars for the awesome guys working there. Minus one for the gross broccoli. Minus two for the stench. :(

Amazing!! dis not expect to find this little wonderful gem. Food is fresh, delicious and nice portion. The owner have me a little try of the soup. I’m. Not a soup person at all. But I had a soup and took 2 home. Omg! Sure glad I decided to stop here. You will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to try my free guava and cheese bread pudding.

We are across the street from this place, we order coffee and food regularly, until we found cockroaches in our coffee… yeap, like that.
We call to complain and the owner came screaming and kicking stuff at my business !!! … he was kick it out by me and we are in the process of making all the police report on how this guy behaved. All recorded in our surveillance system. If you want pictures of the bugs, send me a message.

Very good service and the portions are the right size. Healthy options. Turkey and spinach omelette was very good.

A new favorite for me! I really couldn’t make up my mind the first time I went so I had both the BLT and the Chicken and Cranberry Salad. Both were absolutely amazing. Service was fast and friendly. I can’t wait to go back!

Sorry to say, I didn’t find it to be anything special. The owner was there and seemed to be a nice guy. I asked him what he thinks I should order as a first time customer. He recommended the lechon. It was on the dry side. If that’s the best foot forward then I’m not looking forward to going back. I even asked him if he had any sauce for the sandwich and he said it wouldn’t need it because it was very juicy. Unfortunately, I disagree. Also had a chicken wrap that tasted like a bad chicken kitchen. The guava bread pudding was ok. If you’re expecting something as delicious as the one you get at Nordstrom café, for instance, you can forget about it. Overall, I wish I could give the place more stars but it was just below average.

The food is mediocre, but it’s not total slop.
The reason this place gets 1 star from me is because of the owner’s attitude.
Being even minimally polite seems to be an exhaustive effort. At one point I brought a bagel back with a smile and some patience despite the fact that the cream cheese on it was obviously spoiled — and his response was to snap at me/​demand what the problem was before I could open my mouth.
I’d rather go hungry than give this place my patronage again.
Try to deal with Jay when you go there. He is very sweet and kind, and seems to understand customer service much better than his boss.

Detox smoothie was great! Breakfast was so good my sister got a second plate and ate in the car! The staff was friendly and all around a great spot! Easy on the wallet also!

This place is good for a quick, healthy bite. Prices are reasonable and service is good.
I had the daily special last week (two soft tacos with a side of brown rice and house salad). The fish taco was better than the ground turkey, they needed a little bit more flavor, the whole meal was a bit bland (health conscious doesn’t mean it can’t be tasty).
I also checked in so I could try the Guava and Cheese Bread pudding. Overall underwhelming, it actually looks quite yummy in the pictures so I was excited to try it but wasn’t impressed.
I can see this place being good for people that work walking distance from it that want a healthier choice but just not for me.
PS Park on the street, cheaper than the garage in the bldg.

I learned about this wonderful little café via some colleagues of mine who constantly order or take the special the entire week (as a plan). I have ordered from them a couple of times so far. Their food is delicious, healthy, and very reasonably priced. Their menu also has plenty to choose from, from salads and sandwiches and breakfast items –all day — to the specials of the day. Not to mention, that the foods are super tasty and great for the healthy-​conscious.
Today I ordered their Chicken Pesto sandwich on French bread – you also get to select the bread you want… a «Groovy» smoothie – banana, mango, and orange juice, and a reduced-​fat flan… all were fantastic…
Will be coming back…

I can’t say enough great things about Plate.
They offer a variety of foods: soups, salads, sandwiches, fresh smoothies, all kinds of daily specials, breakfast. I really like the daily specials because they are phenomenal and always changing. Yesterday they had a delicious chicken lasagna which sold out. They also have a bunch of sweet treats which ALL look tempting. Lucky for me they offer a free guava and cheese bread pudding the first time you check in. I am not crazy about guava but I am crazy about this! It is so delicious and has heightened my Plate addiction!
Highly recommend this local place. Prices are great, the owner is awesome, and the customer service is wonderful.

Stopped by Plate for a late lunch today. A few tables in and outdoors, nicely lit, and a big chalk board with the week’s special and their juices.
My coworkers seem to frequent this restaurant and I’ve heard good things.
The special of the day was a chicken or pork chop chop, I didn’t feel like having that so I decided on the chicken pesto wrap with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes.
There was a curry chicken wrap on their menu online, but I guess they discontinued it?
The guy who took my order was constantly sticking his finger in his ear… Itchy ear? I don’t know but I’m glad he wasn’t handling my food…
The food was ready quickly. I was not asked if I wanted my food to dine in or to-​go. They just assumed it was for take-​out and they brought it to me ready in a bag. But I actually planned on eating in…
It was ok, a little bland. The wrap was quickly getting soggy by the liquidy sauce. I wanted to eat one half and save the other, but was scared it’d become a soggy and unappetizing wet mess. So I ate the whole thing haha. Good thing I was hungry. The chicken and mozzarella tasted fresh.
The guava bread pudding was delicious.
If I came back, I’d probably get one of their specials or breakfast. Extra points for breakfast all day.
