In line for drive through. There are not a lot of people in line inside. Takes approximately 4 minutes of cars waiting before the order is taken. I’m up at the window and I have to wait before my order is taken. Drinking up to pay and the car ahead of me is stall waiting. I’ve spent more time in drive through than necessary. Too slow for a place that is not busy.

Lets be honest, For the price its hard to find better.
Its perfect for someone like me, who go to the gym and try to follow a diet, chicken, rice beans are perfect.
Also the lite tropishop.
The only cons, sometime I get my chicken over burnt, like today. Charcoal rice and beans !

How is this place called «pollo» which translates to chicken and u only serve pork from 12-​close! CUSTOME SERVICE DOESNT WORK HERE WITH THESE BUMS! They hang up the phone on you. Can barely speak english. Never have chicken. And they are dirty here! No hair nets, no gloves… Dont even look like they shower. Not only would i never eat here or give them my money again… But they have ruined my image on this restaurant forever. They def need new mangengt.

Hmm. Surprisingly mediocre reviews here, but the issue appears to be more the service than the food. Well, the one time I was here the service was friendly, fast, and accurate despite the place being busy, so I can’t complain, though there did appear to be the potential for chaos in the busy kitchen, and I can definitely see things falling apart on occasion. Regardless, I’m a fan of PT in general, and my one experience here didn’t disappoint.

I normally love pollo tropical. We go to the ones in TX regularly and have never had a bad experience. This one is like a whole other company… First off they don’t even have all the sides, no Mac’n’cheese and no green beans? Seriously? The lady actually looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for them. Cashier was super slow, did not acknowledge me when I came to the register nor thank me for my order. Restaurant was dirty and hot. Drink situation was pathetic. No regular tea, only sweet mango tea… what??? I asked for water, had to get the cups myself and find the water dispenser on my own. The only positive was the chicken was good but even that wasn’t quite the same — it was more fried than in TX. If this was my only Pollo Tropical experience I’d probably never come back.

I hardly ever have a pleasing experience here. It’s usually bad attitudes along w super long wait times, mistakes and incompetence. The food is great but everything else is a drag. Wish they would put in more effort into this business.

We all know the saying you get what you pay for. My wife and I had lunch here today as we just moved to Miami and were running around and just needed a quick cheap lunch. We both ordered the ¼ chicken and I got the yucca and rice and my wive got her favorite rice and black beans. I hate to say it but our chicken was so dry we had to wash each bite down with water and after 5 bites or so we just gave up. The chicken was not directly off the grill for sure and you could tell it had been set aside and just dried up. The rice and beans were good, you can’t really mess that up but the yucca I had was void of any flavor. I’ve never had yucca so I have no clue what it’s supposed to taste like so I don’t know but this tasted like mush. Good food isn’t cheap and cheap food isn’t good. I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

We had a really great inexpensive lunch here. The chicken was cooked on the grill and it was very moist and bursting with flavor. The skin was crispy and well seasoned. The black beans were well prepared as was the white rice. I would love to go back.

Pollo Tropical is a good fast food chain. I like that everything is grilled. The food and sauces are all very tasty. Just never come to this location in a hurry. There is always a line on the inside and the drive thru backs up to Biscayne. Most of the time if you are lucky enough to find parking you are much better off parking and ordering to go inside.

I ordered a family meals, the grilled chicken was really good. I love how their chicken was grilled, the tasty meat of chicken was really great. Pollo Tropical has a large selection of food and desserts. I love the food on this place. Yey!
But unfortunately, the service here was very bad. I don’t why they cant train good employee when they have a large number of customers everyday because of their food. A little training or seminar on the employees to help improve the customer service would be a great idea.

This place hit a new low tonight, when they ran our of chicken at 8:45 (dinner hour in these parts).
Additionally, the cashier was incompetent and rude! At least three people came up and claimed she got their orders wrong. Her response was «you never said that!»
This place definitely needs new management!

I come to this location frequently — the value is great, the store is clean and if you have read any of my other reviews, you know I am a sucker for a fixin’s bar!
Yes, the food sometimes takes a little longer than typical fast food, but the quality is so much better than McD’s or the King.
I particularly like the caribbean chicken soup, the waffle fries and the black beans and rice. I don’t know what they do to make that rice come out so perfectly! The new cheesy yuca bites must have been concoted by the devil himself. TOO GOOD!

Not bad for a quick meal. Although it qualifies as fast food the quality is very good. Some locations are better than others (I.e. the Midtown one was pretty shitty today). However, I would take Pollo on a bad day over Burger King on it’s best day anytime.

Yes I am one of those people who have never been here before this visit. It is two blocks from my work and many of my coworkers go here for lunch. I have never had the desire until yesterday. We were in a hurry so it worked out perfect.
The menu is very large with all kinds of chicken, wings, pork, many sides to choose from and grill after grill of chicken loaded up cooking. For a fast food chain their food is quick, fresh and OK.
I ordered a chicken wrap. It was on the small side but perfect for a quick lunch snack. My guest had the pork with onions, white rice and black beans. He enjoyed it and said the pork was tasty. One thing that was cool was the island of sauces. From salsa, hot sauce and my favorite that I poured all over my wrap was a chipotle mayo based hot sauce. It was very tasty with just the right amount of spice.
Not a bad place to go to when you are in a hurry, nice options. The staff gave decent service.

Ah, the McDonalds of Miami. Overall impression: solid food, slow service.
The best part? Cilantro garlic sauce. I could eat that stuff with a spoon.
Inexpensive. Pretty tasty. My friend Courtney swears by their chicken quesadilla wraps. Not a must try, but an ok fallback if you’re hungry and need a (relatively) quick boost.

Cheap eats while not having that «fast food feeling» afterwards. I don’t think I have ever spent more than $ 10 here at one time and you can get soooo much food. Tasty chicken and great sides. Best side is balsamic tomatoes by far! The only drzw back is there is always a line.

Can’t believe that a fast food joint gets so busy at all hours of the day. It must be good. Wait time is roughly 10 – 15 minutes but the amount of food to cost is worth the wait.
If you are a frequent flyer of Pollo Tropical maximum your $$ by using the bogo deal on your receipt. A good business prop, but worth the time.
You can’t go wrong with chosing anything from the menu. Just remember to make your way to the salad bar station and load up on the mango sauce and try the other 2 sauces they have on hand. You will be thanking me. Yummy.

This location of Pollo Tropical is awful. The food is just fine, if you can make it to the line without going insane! Service is moderately slow.
Being Pollo Tropical (and in Miami), you’d think someone would be familiar with basic Spanish terms of some their food, but no. My friend ordered in English and said platanos instead of fried plantains, the woman working the register was hostile and extremely rude when she replied with, «They is called fried bananas or plantains in my language.» And, yeah, this was in Miami!
It’s best to go to the drive-​thru if you can. They seem to work faster and with less problems.
The interior was properly clean and organized every time I ever came in.
