Best in town, my favorite bakery by far! I travel far and wide for the pastelito tray! I very much recommend this bakery!

This place has been my childhood bakery and it is one of the most underrated Bakeries in Miami, they are completely inexpensive, and their pastries are delicious. The breakfast before 12 P. M is only 4 $ and comes with a colada or a drink of choice and a tostada, after 12 P. M it is 5 dollars. THEEMPANADASAREFIRE!!! HAVE one especially the ham and cheese. They don’t really charge tax just a flat fee.

I have been coming here since I was little boy and fond memories come to mind when I think of this place but I won’t let it influence my review. I have a small pastelito(cuban pastry) obsession and like a crack head buying from different dealers chasing his first and most potent high, I have searched for the best cheese pastelitos in Miami. So far only a handful have been able to come close to the quality of the ones that this place puts out. Their cheese pastelitos in particular are amazing. They are are stuffed with cream cheese from tip to tip and coated with a heavy dusting of large sugar crystals. Get there early and you’ll get it warm from the oven and I promise you’ll wish you had ordered more than one. They offer other warm pastries like pastelitos de guayava(guava), queso and guayava(guava and cheese), and carne(meat) and cold pastries such as capuchinos and caracoles. Other than the pastelitos this place serves all the typical fare that you would expect to find at a cuban bakery. In the morning they serve typical Cuban breakfast platters that comes with eggs, french fries, warm toasted Cuban bread lathered in butter(tostada), your choice of ham or bacon, and café con leche. They have a wide variety of sandwiches: ham and cheese croissants, «media noches», Cuban sandwiches, and pan con tortillas(omelette sandwiches). If you like fruit juices, they have fresh squeezed orange juice and guarapo(sugar cane juice). You can also get your Cuban coffee fix with cortadas and café con leche For lunch they also have a small cafeteria style food warmer offering of some prepared traditional Cuban dishes. You usually get a meat with rice and beans and a side dish like maduros(sweet plantains). The last time I went they had ribs, roasted chicken quarters, and masitas de puerco(fried pork chunks). In addition, they do birthday cakes and cater parties with platters of small bocadito(ham spread) and Cuban sandwiches, croquetas(croquettes), and pastelitos. You don’t have to always order ahead they have some prepared in advanced in case it slipped your mind. This place has been a neighborhood secret for years but its time for this place to come out of the shadows and take its place in the light among some of the best Cuban bakeries in Miami. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Time: around 12:30 pm Parking: In the back it has it’s own little lot. What I got: 4 guava pastries and a cup of coffee. Cost: $ 4.25 Ambiance: hole in the wall(but we are here for the pastries not for their wall décor) My friends and I came to Miami for vacay from LA and we went looking for a place with cuban pastries and regular coffee for a light snack before lunch. The guava/guayaba pastries were fresh, flaky, soft, with right amount of sweetness. They have other ones too although the selections seems a little small. They are in the pastry warmer thing on the counter. It’s not inside the glass counter with the cakes and desserts. If you know Porto’s in LA, the quality and taste of the pastries here beats it handsdown. I will be back!
