R House is fairly good as far as the space, the ambience and service. I really liked the décor and the arts. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t crazy. Happy Hours ends at 7PM but I was able to grab a few things for half off, the spicy Margarita is pretty addictive or the Berry Bourbon is pretty good — good amount of alcohol in the mixed drinks too, FYI. Service was friendly, a little bit slow but I wouldn’t worry too much. Now the food! thank you Unilocal community for your helpful resources. My husband ordered the Skirt Steak based on your recommendations. It was so delicious! Butttt I had to try something more daring so I chose the Ahi Tuna Lomein — wrong choice of the day! I don’t know whether it was a mistake but the dish was incredibly SALTY. I wanted to return it but never did unfortunately. However, the food portion is very decent(if you order full portion, they have a half portion option too). Fun place for drinks and chilling in Wynwood but if you’re here for food make sure if you don’t like something, send it back! don’t be like me. :)

I’ve been to R House a handful of times for brunch and I vacillate between loving it and thinking it’s okay. If you’re going to go for brunch, expect to either pay $ 55+ person or pay less and go home hungry. It’s $ 25 for unlimited mimosas or sangria, but one cocktail will set you back $ 15~ dollars so might as well go with the unlimited. The menu in itself is confusing because there’s two blocks of meals(entrees and sides) either order together for $ 35 with unlimited sides and one entrée but the entrée is tiny. I love their chicken and biscuit but the plate is so small that I end up paying $ 35 for some eggs, a bite of sausage and three bites of chicken. Those bites of chicken are amazing though. Tl;dr: It’s expensive and the entrees are tiny, but the food is delicious. I recommend it as long as you’re not on a budget.

During my first time at Wynwood we planned an outing to «Brick House» the bar/establishment in from of R House. Brick House was a huge disappointment. It was over crowded. We were not even able to dance because we would have stepped on each other’s toes. We decided to leave Brick House and jump to the establishment in front and it was the best decision we could have made. R House is a well rounded, art inspired establishment. We did not eat but the drinks were good and priced reasonably. The music was mixed so it satisfied everyone’s taste. It was full but not pack plenty of room for everyone to dance and sitting space is not an issue either. At around 1 am Brazilians Dancers came out and put on a show. We would come back here in a heartbeat. I did not give it 5 stars because I did not try the food but overall great experience.

Worst food poisoning ever! Something tasted very off in my sliders and I asked the manager/owner(he claimed to be the owner, but when you read the rest of the review, you’ll understand why I was skeptical) if the meal was cooked properly. He started yelling at me and called me a pompous preppy asshole(yes I was wearing a Lacoste sweater– my bad) and I was like all the other 16 year olds who eat at his restaraunt. My friends and I were shocked at this point and seriously thought we were in a hidden camera show it was so unreal. We left, laughed, and joked at how ridiculous the situation was, and thought it was behind us… until I got home. I puked for 5 hours straight and could taste every bite of brunch I ate as it came out of every hole of my body. Only eat here if you wish to torture yourself and get slapped in the face for it.

I came here scoping out for my birthday venue on a chill night when it wasn’t too late. Very nice, clean place with a great out door section for relaxing and having a drink. It wasn’t too busy and the music wasn’t so loud so you can actually have a conversation. I decided to come here. Some friends and I met for dinner where I thought the food was really great. I had a seafood dish, friends had steak, salads, we tried a lot of dishes and I bought they were all very good. My only thing was I didn’t think the I had was good. I had the mule and it was not good. But I will still give a 5 star. Besides that the live music was great. others joined us and we were able to just hang out in the outside patio area. Really really great. I had a great time at my bday celebration. And my friends had a great time.

I knew I would like this place from the moment I walked in. From the friendly hostess in the front to the art for sale throughout the restaurant. Our waitress Chassery was friendly and extremely helpful in recommending both our apps and entrees. We had the tuna tartare and WOW! The quality was fresh and the combination of the tuna and the sauce was perfect. I ordered the sweet chili shirt steak and it was amazing! It came with wasabi infused mashed potatoes(which I was not sure I would like) but it blew my mind. The flavor was amazing! It was the perfect amount of wasabi the flavor was not over whelming but just enough to taste it. It was very different in a good way! Honestly everything I tried here really good. I will defiantly be coming back! Defiantly recommend this place! It’s a great date spot and a good place to bring people from out of town so they can eat then walk around wynwood and see all the art.

Service was great. And food was phenomenal. Chef Nuno has put together a great lineup for brunch. Unexpected yet classic American food. The Mac n Cheese was so good, and the Chipotle ribs out of this world. The ambiance was pretty cool as well, change from the quiet brunch. We had a great time, for sure coming back.

Great place to chill with friends, have lunch, and have a drink in Wynwood I went to R House about a week ago. R House is pretty awesome when you walk inside. It’s like gallery exhibition meets restaurant meets bar meets lounge. It’s not very bright inside and it kind of sets the mood for the artsy atmosphere. Hanging everywhere are different pieces of art that are on display. The art hanging on the walls divides the restaurant into sections(as they are typically hanging on these panels). It gives the restaurant a bit more intimacy, almost like you have your own exclusive viewing of the art adorning the walls. Outside was my favorite part. Sat there with some friends on a warm late afternoon and just hung out. The seating is very comfortable and the outdoor is spacious. Everyone that is there seems to genuinely be enjoying themselves. Behind the seating area there is a large patio, which you can smoke on(or hopefully they do some nighttime dancing there, I actually am not sure). We sat and ordered a bottle of Rioja(don’t remember the producer), which was delicious and my friend also ordered a Japanese lemonade. It was shockingly pink and tasted like battery acid, but he enjoyed it and I guess it got the job done because after a few hours we left happily drunk. For appetizer I ordered the sea cakes which were scallops, shrimp, crab with some delightful aioli. Great way to start the meal and a very tasty appetizer. Great texture and very fun to eat. Next, I split the skirt steak with some Japanese slaw with a friend of mine. The slaw was nothing special and I probably would not order that again when I go back. The skirt steak was very tender and came cooked exactly as we had asked(medium). Loved the crispy leeks on top(almost burnt, which is awesome) was a great touch. In addition, it was served over some wasabi mash potatoes that were quite good as well! Overall, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy some drinking with friends around some tasty food!

I’m giving this restaurant a two because the time to get our food has been ridiculously long. It has been 50 minutes from our appetizers & we just received our entrees. That’s unacceptable. Would most likely never come here again. Food was good but customer service was lacking.

I LOVEIT when an amazing chef/owner comes out to your table, shakes your hand & talks with you!!! We shared 4 apps & each one was AMAZING! tuna tartare, ceviche, short ribs & sea cakes. Absolutely wonderful experience!

Easily one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant in Miami. The service was absolutely horrible — it took 30 minutes to get a single round of drinks and not once did our server come over to us to offer any type of explanation or apologize for the wait. To top it all off, the drinks were weak and 90% ice. Food was also extremely disappointing. Asked for a burger medium rare and received an extremely well done burger. When I told the waitress the burger was over cooked she replied«oh that’s weird it was supposed to be medium rare.» And walked away — didn’t offer to bring out a new burger or to take it off my check. So I paid $ 15 for a burnt burger that was barely edible. Bottom line: avoid this place at all costs.

Brunch review! Recommendations: Unlimited food Went with a group of friends this past weekend and had a great time. I loved the family style appetizers and the steak and eggs that I had as my main dish. The service wasn’t that great, being that we saw our waitress about twice the entire meal. The drinks also didn’t settle well with some of my friends, which is why I’m not recommending the bottomless booze. In all, I would definitely return for the good vibes and great food.

Service was great! Ask for William if you can, he’s very attentive! My table was terrible, in the middle of large tables and a guy stood up to talk to someone at his table and his butt was over my table and food! Steak was a little tough! The sides were excellent as I did the All You Can Eat and mimosas. Drink lots of water!!! $ 52 before tip Music is loud so it isn’t a first date scene! But good price for what you get!!!

Super artsy and trendy. The inside looked like an art gallery with cool paintings on the walls and the outside looked like it was someone’s backyard in a good way. They was music playing in the back. We did not order appetizers because nothing really caught our attention and there was a lot of seafood and people in our party didn’t eat that. So straight to the meal… I had the grilled free range chicken breast with rosemary potatoes and grilled asparagus. Although the chicken was juicy and the veggies were cooked perfectly my only complaint was that I did not get an actual chicken breast. It was more like a thigh portion for the $ 25 price tag. I did try some of the potatoes and it was flavorful but one of the people in our party said their potatoes were still raw. My husband had the skirt steak. And he said it was good. My brother said the short ribs were flavorful but they were dry. By far the best thing was the dessert. The tres leche was amazing and the crème brûlée was sinful. The service was excellent!!! Definitely an adult only place… clubs all around to burn those desserts off!

I really enjoyed my visit here, and had terrific conversations with another patron and the bartender. I’m not entirely clear how the process of bar conversations evolve, but we delved into social and political issues very naturally, as well as the different types of tequilas. And, oddly enough, we were all in agreement on each topic. Ha! I love when bartenders engage with the customers. It makes the visit all the more enjoyable. I recall the bartender, like myself, is from Wisconsin. She had noticed the Milwaukee Brewers logo on my shirt. She had the accent down perfectly, which cracked me up. «Oh ya! Ya betcha hey der!» Anyhow, I purchased some lamb chops with mashed potatoes and they were really terrific. The food here is top notch. I can see saving myself for this place on my next visit to Wynwood when hunger attacks.

This review is just for the bar. We came here for Halloween and boy was it a huge mistake. They were able to horde people solely due to the fact that there was no one checking IDs at the front door. You would think that any establishment would prepare for one of the biggest nights of the year, but R House did not do that. At the inside bar, we waited at one of the sides, next to where the bar curves around. None of the bartenders even looked in that general direction, only paying attention to the people in the centerfold. We waited a good 30−40min, with card and tips in hand, before we gave up. There were other groups of people on the sides that did the same thing, so by not having some sort of system, they easily lost 1⁄3 of potential customers. We eventually squeezed our way outside to find the rest of our group and found ourselves at the outside bar. A few of our friends were smack dab in the middle of the bar and stated that each of the two bartenders had told them they were«out of their territory» and thus the other bartender’s responsibility. They somehow managed to get some drinks after 40min, but we weren’t as lucky. We replaced them at the center of the bar and had the same issue of the bartenders only working what seemed to be like one foot of the bar, so we had to give up a second time. This might not have been such a bad thing after seeing how they were making mixed drinks that night. The cups weren’t just filled to the brim with ice, they were OVERFLOWING with ice. What were they trying to make, snow cones? Pretty sure all of those drinks tasted nasty. We’ve also been here on a regular weekend. They were completely empty, as most of the crowd congregated at Brick House across the street, but we still had to wait a good amount to just get a few bottles of beer. Maybe they’re a better restaurant than they are a bar, but given their location, they really need to step up their service and make it more efficient.

This was our second stop in our Wynwood food tour. We were served Short rib slider and a tuna tartar. I wasn’t crazy about the short rib slider but I could have had more of the tuna tartar. It was really good. Our sampling was paired with either a white or red wine as we were having both meat and fish. The place was nice although I found the bar chairs someone high for my short stature. Lol

Came here during Art Basel last year. I made reservations last minute and was surprised they had availability. When we got there we did have to wait almost 45 mins before we were seated, which was annoying. Anyone who knows me knows I despise having to wait for a table but I suck it up. I digress so here is my review. Ambiance: Seems like a hip spot to have dinner. There is dim lighting so it gives off a romantic feel to the place. They also have a back patio area which we were able to walk around and check out some art while we waited for our table to be ready. Food: We ordered the blackberry bourbon drink. I’m not a huge bourbon fan but I decided to try something different. It was way too strong for my liking I prefer something sweeter just my personal taste. Our server did try to dilute it for us so it wouldn’t be so strong which was helpful. Since it was almost a year ago I don’t remember what the name of the exact dish was that I ordered but I do remember it was good & the portions were big I didn’t even finish it. The food is a bit pricy so it’s not some place I’d venture to every time I’m in the wynwood area. Server: Our server was helpful & attentive. No complaints!
