Évaluation du lieu : 1 Miami, FL
Radio Shack Store # 8829 in the Southland Mall in the Cutler Bay area of Miami is an unethical operation that I found to be predatory, arrogant and dishonest. Altho all Radio Shacks are not like this one, my experience should serve as a warning to anyone considering a significant purchase at a radio shack. There is a Radio Shack in the Miami area with a good reputation located on US1 across from the University of Miami. That radio shack has a large inventory of parts and a good reputation, as it does a land office business with University of miami engineering students. Before posting this review I contacted Radio Shack Corporate Headquarters and the office of the District Manager Patrick LaMontagne. Not only was the store dishonest and unethical they were heartless and predatory. Anyone who buys a cell phone plan or a big ticket item at this Radio Shack is taking a chance and I would suggest extreme caution at any Radio Shack. A poor family purchased a smart phone with an expensive 2 year AT&T contract. They did not even know what a smart phone was and even if they learned to use it, not having Wi fi the limited internet would hardly be useful. I am a friend of the family who tried to help with no success. AT&T has a 30 day return policy and a 30 day return policy was noted on the store receipt. The store refused to take back the phone and give a refund claiming that the customer had to pay AT&T a termination fee before the phone could be returned. First the store said that it had a special arrangement with AT&T that only allowed a 14 day return period. The Store Manager was aware that not only was he being dishonest but that the poor family he was cheating needed the money for food. I will not cut off my nose to spite my face, and if I need a small part that a local Radio Shack might have, I would buy it. I suggest consumers stay away from Radio Shack when at all possible, and patronize merchants you have some reason to expect to be honest. A Dishonest Merchant like Radio Shack Store #8829 reflects badly on other Radio Shack stores and on the Southland Mall.
