For years, I always showed my loyalty to Radioshack and purchased Watch Batteries in a Radioshack Store. Radioshack/Tandy was one of the first Electronics Stores in America. In recent years, I’ve bought common Electronics Batteries at the local Drug Store out of convenience and I always figured I was paying a premium. That’s until I ended up at this Radioshack Store and was told retail list price of a common CR-2032. It was no deal and to make matters worse, the service was horrible. I figured out I would be in and out of the store in minutes, but the one worker was helping another customer and didn’t even acknowledge my presence as another waiting customer cut in front of me. I ended up buying a 3 pack, but that was still not much of a deal. It appears that the better deals for batteries are at the Wholesale Club that starts with a C or at Online Stores for Watch Batteries. It’s sad, in the likes of the Local Stereo Stores, Egghead Software, Circuit City and CompUSA — this was probably my last visit to a RadioShack store. I wish we had a Frys Electronics in Florida.
