In Coral Gables for one night and looking for something to eat for lunch. Sandwiches did not disappoint. Had the Venezia and it was bursting with flavor. Definitely large enough for 2 people. Perfect place for sandwich, breakfast, salads, desserts!

I have no business going to a bakery… LOL, but I went. I loved it. This place reminds me of old school Cuban bakeries. They have so many desserts & pastries, all made from scratch. They have a large eat in area & outdoor seating as well. They also have lunch items made to order. I had the cod croquettes & spinach croquettes. Both were delicious. I was surprised at how good they were. I haven’t had them this good in a bakery or restaurant in a long time. I also tried the guava pastelito(yum!) and the cheese pastelito. The cheese pastelito was crunchy(encrusted with sugar) how I like, but it also seemed to have a glaze over it which gave an even nicer crunchy texture to contrast with the creamy cheese inside. I hate when bakeries skimp on the cheese & don’t go out to the ends. they don’t :) I shouldn’t be back(waistline!.. haha), but I will!

Hispanic hoodrich. Cortadito. Lambos. Viejos. Long waits. Weird tasting pastries. Guyaberas. The great ham croquetta shortage of 2015. Parking catastrophe. This is the bakery of what WAS the Coral Gables Ghetto shopping plaza. As i wrote the review i decided to check the zoning map and it looks like some of the Coral Gables fat was trimmed and this was a part of it. Even though i frequent this plaza often, there really isn’t anything here that should warrant a visit that isn’t out of convenience. Roma is your typical Miami Cuban bakery. They offer the expected pastries, cakes, sandwiches and breads, The only thing I’ve noticed that makes it stand out is that they also have a small salad bar. I’m not a rabbit so i can’t say I’m one for the greens when i eat out, it looks like it’s a very basic salad bar though. This is usually my first stop when looking for ham croquettes but they have been out on my last 5+ visits, leading to the great croquette depression of 2015. A very sad time in my history. Their display cases haven’t been very well stocked in general these past few months. They actually have 2 little cafeterias, one at each end of the shop. I can’t tell if it’s their prep methods or ingredients but their pastelitos and croquettes taste different than most. I personally don’t care for the difference but some people may prefer it. If you can’t fill your pastry fix here then there is a third cafeteria in the plaza which should fit the bill. The average patron is 104 years old, there are plenty of tables, the cafeteria service is generally pretty slow and there really isn’t much to look at here aside from the occasional $ 200k+ car. If your hankering for a cortadito then it may be worth a visit if you’re in the area. As far as eats go, there are better options just east and west of this place.

I hit this place for lunch from time to time. It has a solid salad bar, and a few good hot Italian and Cuban options. They make a great cafecito and cortadito(becoming harder and harder to find). Make sure they serve it in a «tacita.» Easy, fast, and low cost, but good quality.

Roma is our neighborhood bakery and we’re so lucky for it. Their French bread is flavorful and has the perfect combination of a crisp crust and a pillowy soft center. Roma’s pastelitos are second to none. We especially like their coconut pastelitos. Roma serves delicious hot breakfasts and they are really inexpensive. If you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want to lift someone’s spirits, Roma makes the tastiest and prettiest cakes around. Our favorite part of Roma Bakery, however, is its owner and head baker, Giacomo. He always goes out of his way to make us feel at home in his shop. I recommend Roma Bakery without reservation.

This is my go to spot for an awesome cortadito! They make it absolutely perfect. Their sandwiches are also very fresh and tasty. Great spot to stop by for a quick bite or pick up!

Breakfast after a great run! After leaving the granada golf course from our run we decided to go to this location and indulge in breakfast! Sat down and ordered scrambled eggs with pepper and tomato. They provide complimentary butter bread. It’s like a mixture of a croissant and baguette. Very good! The service was great, our waitress was very nice and followed early and often. We will all definitely be back for some more options at this bakery for sure!

Excellent for a quiet lunch or café break. Delicious italian and cuban sandwiches, buffet salad bar, and italian prepared foods. Best Cuban café in town. Great choice in premium cakes for that special occasion– folks in the office always rave.

Stop here for a late breakfast. Love this place is a bakery /Deli they serve everything from pastry to sandwiches to Italian specialties. You can order to go, stand in the counter for a quick bite or sit in there cute chairs. I ordered the Milano sandwich which consists of Italian prosciutto, provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato. I also had awesome café con leche. Before I left I noticed all there cakes and of course had to buy one to take. It was a cappuccino cake and of course delicious. Downfall parking can be a problem the bakery is located in a very busy shopping center.

I am a pastelito de queso connoisseur. I search far & wide into distant lands to find the perfect cheesy, flaky, burnt sugary stick of deliciousness ever. This place has it. Oh, but skip the tostada. Really no toastiness to it at all. Actually, very disappointing tostada. Stick with the pastelitos… mmmmm…pastelitos…

I had a sandwich and coffee, the sandwich was pretty good but the cost was not quite worth it and the coffee was standard(which is awesome in Miami). Honestly the biggest flaw with this restaurant was the waiters, I like to relax and take my time when I go out but these people seemed to want me to leave as soon as possible.

Came here to get pricing for my wedding cake. I got to meet the owner who was talking to us for a pretty long time about all her past catering experiences. The wedding cake album is really old, supposedly their newer one got burned in a fire they had some time ago. The parking is a bit hectic. No credit cards are accepted with small purchases i.e. cortadito.

Dear Roma, I stopped here with my cousin, Renee D., and the kids on our way to the beach. I decided to grab a few croquettas to go for my nephew and I while she got money from the ATM across the parking lot. Your walk-up counter was free of people, and I approached in anticipation of quick service. However, the 3 people behind the counter were all engaged in deep conversation and it took them a minute before they asked me if I needed anything. Luckily, the croquettas were already made and the lady that assisted me was able to just grab the few that I needed. $ 5 for 5 croquettas — not too bad considering I left almost a dollar in tip. I got in the car and took my first bite, and, I have to say, I wasn’t that impressed with your croquettas de jamon. I think you overdid the breading in the stuffing part(not enough ham)… But my nephew chomped his down like they were going out of style, so I was happy. I admit — I have to come back and give you a fair chance at a meal. ‘Til then, SabrinaAnna*

Hello new neighbor ;) ok — so it’s not Segafredo’s — But — awesome Media Noche — 6.75? Hmmm — not too great — but we had been moving that day and they have this great egg salad, tuna salad, and seafood coleslaw mix — that just hit the spot on a warm arduous day. I felt liked I piled the salad bar on — and in reality it only came to about $ 2.50 for my plate. My Dad tried the chic pea-ham salad and once again — delish — he also had a sandwich w/prosciutto — but there was like ½ and ounce of meat in it. ;(I suggest this place for it’s coffee, it’s efficiency at being quick — yummy treats like a guava empanana with a sugary crunch to it’s exterior — always all types of croquttas on hand — including: Ham, Chix, Spinach(YUM), and Bacalado(spelling?) S-Duper YUM!!! I’ve yet to try Breakfast… Can’t really bring the tiny tots there unless I tied them to a table — but the staff is so friendly — they’d probably babysat while we ate ;) parking lot views — hhmmph — but hey — we are not in Sobe anymore Toto! Oh — hey — and baklava — must must try! — and they have a random assortment of Italian products to purchase — oils, pastas, and other stuff to cook ;)

Cute little cafeteria and bakery conveniently located within walking distance from mi casa. Nothing is extraordinary but it’s a winner in the looks and price departments. The servers are friendly and the customers are interesting. One of the most hilarious things is this Arroz Con Pollo cake in the display by the front door. I guess it’s all made from marzipan. It looks exactly like arroz con pollo, down to the red clay casserole. I would never think to buy this(or have a bite if offered) but I still LOL every time I see it.

I am seriously a fan of this place. Here’s why: 1. They have a salad bar that is $ 6.95/lb, and has some delicious crab salad, chicken and pineapple salad, potato salad, shredded carrot salad, and tuna salad. Seriously delicious. Just pick up a plate and start piling it on. They’ll weight it out, you sit down with it, and be happy. 2. They have some exceptional Cuban coffee. Café con leche was right on, the cordadita was excellent, and the colada’s are addicting. And they’re pretty fast at making these beverages.(Note: Their pineapple juice is sweetened for real. Tasty, but I doubt it’s nutritious) 3. There are deserts and pastries of all kinds. We had some awesome caramel filled éclair and a tiramasu cheesecake thing,. and a brownie cake,.? I don’t know but they were all yum. The deserts all look very professionally made. But the Arroz Con Pollo cake made from marzipan is NOJOKE! It has a marzipan drumstick! Gotta see it to believe it,… 4. I don’t know any Spanish at all, these people know little to no English, and yet their friendly and efficient service was able to transcend the language barrier to make for a good experience. I was there for breakfast also — don’t try to order anything specific, just put your trust in ordering«breakfast» because it comes out with potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and Cuban bread. And the next time we’re in the Gables, I will be back. Hopefully I’ll have figured out how to order something else by that point.

looks can be deceiving. although i only tried one thing — it was quite dry. the inside of the place appears great — bright and organized, the outer appearance of the bakery items also seem good, but can’t give it a hearty approval yet
