Chicken sandwich was with the sauce on the side. And I really glad to see that they moved the order window to the side, man I almost saw a guy get hit there. Hell the food is good.

I live one block from this place and family tradition barred me from here. My family always complained the food wasn’t great. But one desperate day I tried the chicken. They were out told me to come back. Went back for disappointment. It was overly seasoned and not marinated. Just threw a ton of seasoning on it nd grilled it. The portion size was good but haven’t been back since.

One of the best rib joints I know of in Miami. So good when they’re fresh off the grill. This is «roadside» dining… so prepare for an adventure.

I went Friday for the first time in about 2 years. The staff was nice and the wait time was pretty fast. I had the small end ribs, which were over cooked, I had the pork souse it was clean & sort of flavorful, but entirely too many ears. Three stars…

I don’t know where the«Coffee Shop» came from, but it’s been known as Saint City BBQ for a long time, and that’s what’s on the sign. This place used to be a guilty, late-night pleasure for me when I worked at night 20 years ago. I guess I’ve become more picky since then. I got the«rib sandwich,» which is not actually a sandwich. In the rib shack lingo it is a few ribs served with two slices of white bread. In this case, it is several ribs — really a generous portion. They evidently use large, untrimmed racks of ribs, and it shows. They were REALLY fatty. I’m not a fat-phobe, but this was ridiculous. They were very tender, so I was able to pull them apart and ended up with a pile of fat in the lid of the styrofoam box. Take a look at the photo I uploaded. You can see the large layer of fat in the cut edge of the rib on the right. The seasoning was very mild, and there was no detectable hardwood smoke flavor to them. The BBQ sauce was sweet, and probably comes in gallon jugs from a store. It certainly didn’t taste special. The atmosphere is, well, ghetto. Barbed wire, iron bars, boarded up businesses. There are some little tables here and there off the parking lot, but you are a few feet from a six-lane roadway, with cars and trucks roaring by. I don’t see much to recommend here, unless you live in the neighborhood or belong to the church.

Seriously these are the best ribs I have every had. The meat falls off the bone, they are perfectly seasoned and the sauce is finger licking good!!! I’m not sure what they do or how they do it but they do it right!!! Yep this place is at a church so they must bless and dip them in holy water! It’s that good, I mean look at my over usage of exclamation marks. :)

The BEST ribs in town!!! I don’t know how they do it every single time, but they do it every. single. time! VERY well-seasoned, falloffthebone, juicyjuicy ribs. OMG. My mouth is watering at the thought! I always get the small-end sandwich for $ 7.50 — a pile of pork ribs slathered in a sweeter bbq sauce between two slices of white bread… YUMM-O!!! I eat the components separately because I can’t chew through bone. The serving is perfect for one person. This«coffee shop» is actually a take-out window attached to a church. They mainly serve bbq ribs and chicken. I’ve NEVER seen nor heard anyone order coffee and it’s not even listed on the menu! But hey, stranger things have happened. The bbq chicken has never tempted me so I can’t suggest it. Now that I think about it, most people don’t order the chicken. Come for the ribs if you’re coming. Saint City also has soul food side dishes available, depending on the day and the time. I don’t care for their sides at all as they’re not homemade. Sorry. However, they do have a very tasty pork souse for sale.(Pork Souse is a tangy & spicy stew made with various pig parts, including ears, feet and sundry innards. Sounds gross but it’s delicious. Shouldn’t be eaten often and for everything that is sacred, PLEASE do not get the juice on your clothes. It will never come out!) And their Sweet Potato Pies are out of this world! It’s also sold by the HUGE slice for $ 3. The place is cash only. When you get there, park on the street or in the tiny lot. Proceed to fall into the line. Do NOT attempt to skip. You have been warned. Don’t come for special service and definitely, don’t catch an attitude with the church ladies. Oh, and leave ‘em a tip if you’re so inclined. They’ll appreciate it. :-)
