Hands down the best(and most reasonably priced) sandwiches in downtown Miami. My favorite was the mozz-prosciutto-pesto, hold the prosciutto, then grilled. I’m not a huge hot-soup-for-lunch-in-hot-weather fan, but I’ve tasted their soups, and they all taste like real(good) food, which is unusual for downtown lunch places. Oh, and the chicken salad is also remarkably tasty. I also like the place’s slight surfing theme — my colleagues and I used to call this the surfing sandwich shop. :)

This is a cozy-stylish sandwich shop. Reasons: — FOOD: Delicious sandwiches that looked so small. I had the sandwich bar sandwich — with short rib, caramelized onions, munster & provolone cheeses — and it was a small half-a-foot, sliced in half and plated in a über-tiny plate. And for $ 7, you might think it’s a rip-off. But it’s no Subway — short ribs? Hello. For some reason, the über-tasty little sandwich filled me up. I was stuffed — and I could not find a good explanation why. I also paid a dollar extra to make a soup & drink combo. The soup came in a tiny ramekin-sized soup that was very tasty(sweet corn — I could eat this a lot). And drinks? The typical corn syrup-laden canned sodas are the rule here — I did not see a healthy option(even Brisk is also laden with corn syrup). This was a downer — they need better drinks. So with tax, it came up to about $ 9.50. At first, I thought it was pricey, by a dollar. And for a less-than-$ 10 establishment, $ 7 for just a small sandwich is a little too much — but then I realized that it was the only sandwich that costed $ 7. Again, hello short ribs! The other sandwiches were a dollar less($ 5.50 to $ 6). And the salads seemed to be big and loaded with toppings. So overall, while this place isn’t inexpensive, this place offers a good value for the money.

Excellent Mozzarella & Prosciutto sandwich. Fresh, crusty French bread, sandwiching a cup of excellent chickpea soup, for a mere 8 dollars. Great, quick lunch.

Picked up a Sandwich Bar today(5÷12÷10) — braised short rib, caramelized onions, provolone and munster on ciabatta. For a dollar more, I got a can of soda and a bag of chips.(Total $ 8) The owners were the only two employees in this tiny venue, and they seemed a bit overwhelmed when I walked in with 2 coworkers. The place was empty except for a couple eating at one of the tables. It took about 15 minutes, and us repeating our orders a few times, for them to make our three sandwiches and one Hawaiian Ice. But they were very nice and the sandwich was very good. I would go again. I would have given it 4 stars if not for the rather slow and bumbling service

I love new places to eat in the Downtown Area. This place just opened so i went in and tried a Roast beef Sandwich I thought it was small but it was really not, because i was satisfied when it was done. And it tasted good too. Today i enjoyed a sandwich called Sandwich Bar, it was really flavorful — Braised short ribs caramelized onions, with Munster and provolone cheese. both juicy and yummy. I would say to me the menu seems kind of simple and small for chefs whose claim to fame is cheffing at Sardinia and Cioppinos. But it is said«Not to Despise humble beginnings» So I’m looking forward to big things from them. The design and atmosphere is of the Sandwich Bar is cozy, tropical and yet sophisticated with the staff being very friendly and nice. They have free wi fi which is nice too. Welcome to the neighborhood Sandwich Bar :)
