Hey compared to the other batting cages in south florida this place is great! They actually open during their hours of operation. The service was friendly, they could use some mist fans in the batting cage area but hey maybe one day. The prices are a bit high at 2.00 a token which gives you 18 pitches, maybe 10 of them are actually hittable. I would return but perhaps later in the evening when the sun is not in scorching mode.

I started playing softball at Tamiami in’92 and played travel/club softball until 2003 so I used to come to these batting cages on a consistent basis … I guess it really helped me get a scholarship to play at first FIU and then the University of Tennessee… So I can’t say it didn’t help to consistently practice! Love this batting cage. It’s an outdoor facility which sucks when it rains but is awesome when there’s nice weather … I’m the kind of player that likes to see where I hit the ball at a distance versus going to an indoor cage. Softball machines say«fast pitch» but they don’t say the speed like the baseball cages. I wish it did because Sluggers«Fast Pitch» isn’t fast enough for me… Sluggers mostly consists of cages with machines but have a couple of cages where you can have batting practice with a live pitcher. Machines are sometimes a bit out of the strike zone which is okay… I mean a pitcher is going to throw you a curve every once in a while right !? :-) Prices are average and make sure to lookout for any Groupons because they occasionally have them. As an retired player(graduation called and now it’s the real world), I love to come to these cages. Fun environment as it’s so great to see the love of the game played at all different ages!

I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid in the 90’s and it’s always been our go-to batting cage. Located on the perimeter road off of FIU, it’s pretty small, but meets everyone’s needs as far as softball or baseball, at a variety of pitch speeds. The prices are very reasonable, and they have your usual crappy concession stand food… what more could you ask for?!
