Standard Parking

If I could give this post a zero I would. I must display my upmost disappointment with this parking garage and unfortunately I have no other choice as Standard Parking is the garage attendant company where my gym resides. I went about my business was as I usually do with my routine to exit the garage after my visit to the gym. I validated my parking after having to park in the eighth floor due to the amount of people who visit Mary Brickell on a Friday night. As I exit to the cash window, I handed my ticket and a dollar (the amount that I’ve always paid for my time spend at the gym) to Martha the parking attendant. She asked if I validated the ticket and I said yes. She said I had an wrong validation and continues to tell me I had to pay full price for the parking or go back up to the gym to re-​validate the ticket. I told her to call her manager as I was not going to go back up to the gym to re-​validate a ticket that was clearly validated. Her manager came Hugo and stared to speak in Spanish to Martha and he came to my car to advise speaking to me in Spanish. He said my ticket was not correctly validated and the ticket was «illegal». I tell Hugo if he is telling me I’m a liar as he can clearly see that I was coming out of the gym and not a night out drinking in Brickell. He continued to harass me about the way the ticket and how it was different and I mentioned I was in a hurry when I validated it and could have been slightly different than the others. After he continues to tell me the same thing about ticket and the cars behind me pile up, he tells me to tell him the truth and that he will let me out for free. I told him, I don’t need «free» parking and I had paid my parking and gave Martha my one dollar as I always have. All I wanted to do at this moment was leave. As Hugo reaches to refund me my dollar, Martha almost faints in the attendant box and he tells me «You see what you have done you f’ing liar» and let’s me out. Clearly there is a lack of management and customer service skills with standard parking. I can’t believe someone would talk to someone over a parking spoke and can’t make a decision as a manager. Horrible service!!!

If I could give a 0 star rating, I would.
This is probably the worst parking company I have ever had to deal with, and that is a harsh statement coming from somebody who has lived in Miami for 7 years. Their customer service is truly atrocious. I have been a Monthly Parker customer of theirs for years, and have had so many issues with outrageous activation fees, being unable to contact ANYBODY to help me sort out my issues, and rude staff. I would recommend any number of the other parking companies in the Brickell area over Standard Parking.
I am encouraging all of my friends to avoid this company by any means possible, and I plan on bringing as much business as possible to their competitors. What an awful, awful company. Avoid at all costs if you value your sanity and your hard-​earned paycheck.
