It was fine, but definitely overhyped. I definitely don’t think it would do that well in New York, as some others contend — we got a half cheese /half pepperoni pie, which I enjoyed, but, for one thing, the cheese fell off our pizza when it was an inch off the table, which is almost a nonstarter if you were trying to compete with the many excellent places in NYC. Prices were fine and it still tasted good(it’s pizza…), and it’s totally possible it’s one of the better places in the area(I’m not all that educated on that), but in the grand scope of counter pizza places, it was just ok.

It’s ok. Overrated. Used to be good and now it’s merely basking in the glory days with quality noticeably down. Now I prefer piccolo around the corner.

This is the closest to New York Style Pizza that you will find in Miami. Yes, it beats out Casola’s in Gabeles-Grove and all the other places. It’s also consistently good. My favorite is their pepperoni pizza — it reminds me of the pepperoni pizza we used to get at Miami’s Best in South Miami.

What the hell happened Steve’s?! I grew up playing Donkey Kong and eating Steve’s thin slices with the semi-sweet sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. I visited a few times recently and the slices had gobs of flavorless cheese like a run of the place. In addition, their meatball sub is now a flavorless behemoth that was so dry I felt like I was eating packed sand… with flavorless cheese. I saw the elderly owner still milling about but I think his taste buds have deteriorated because the food is nowhere close to what it used to be. I hope they can get their act together because the only viable option in the area is Anthony’s Coal Fired and I can’t run in there for a quick slice and a game of Galaga.

It goes without saying, this place serves a really delicious pizza. I personally think it is their sauce, which is out of this world. They also have really great calzones, again it comes with a super yummy dipping sauce. What makes this place truly special is the feeling of nostalgia I get when I order a slice. I think the graffiti around the chairs is the same graffiti I used to read many years ago. The food is and has always been consistently good and you can’t go wrong with a a Mrs. PAC man arcade. minus is the outside bathroom

For Miami this place is ok. I am New Yorker. This pizza would not last for a minute in NY. Too much sugar in the sauce. Too many bubbles on the pie burned to a crisp. Pizza man needs to check pies for bubbles and pop them or adjust the temperature in he oven. The dough is good but the crust was burned on slices when they were busy. They need to dial down the sugar by 20%. Also square pie dough is too airy like wonder bread. If they don’t burn the slices, fix the bubbles on the pies and reduce the sugar, they would rally compete with NY pizza. If you are from Florida I recommend this place. If you are from NY don’t expect something you are used to.

So yesterday was my first time at steve’s pizza and I must say it didn’t disappoint… Somewhat on the small size but it does have seating to accommodate the masses. I’ve driven by a few times before actually stopping by yesterday and it always seemed like a party was going on. Pretty cool on the inside, where they have it where you as a customer can sign or write something about you visit at the tables… So when it came to ordering with the line of people behind me, it didn’t want to be myself and take all day. So Wasn’t sure about what to order so I went with the safest choice a got a slice of pepperoni. Wasn’t sure when I received my slice and the pepperoni was just sitting on top the pizza but after the first bite, I was convinced. The pepperoni just had this sense of freshness to it along with the pizza itself.

I just picked up a couple of slices. 1 of them being pepperoni. I have to say I’m a little unhappy. Whenever you order a slice with pepperoni there used to be 30 – 40 slices. If you know this to be true then hit like. Tonight I can count the pepperoni on both of my hands. What happened Steve’s??? I don’t drive in the all hours of night to get some pepperoni. I want pepperoni?

Slice was huge. Ingredients were fresh. Flavor was awesome.(Had spinach delight slice) Service was timely and even thought line was long for early morning/late evening, went quickly. Will have to try calzone next time(looked awesome)!

I like to try new places all the time, this is my first time here and music was making the whole difference, i think without the music the were playing last night the place could be kind of boring. The pizza(I didn’t try anything else) was good but could be better. Price for a large one 14″ is $ 13 and change, but they charge $ 2.10/topping(which sounds reasonable) but when I asked if I wanted half with a toppings and the second half with another topping, they said that in that case I’d need to pay for two toppings even when is half and half. Give me a break. Sodas have no free refills. However, I liked the place somehow, painted chairs, nice lights inside and i found it a clean place, despite treatment was not the best.

I love Steve’s… I only gave 4 stars because Steve’s is a hit or miss… Used to be really good, then all of a sudden they started delivering pizzas and calzones that were completely under cooked. Then they went back to being amazing… We ordered Calzone’s a few days ago and they were soooo good… The time before that, they were under cooked. Did they change cooks??? Don’t know but we will continue ordering from them because when they are good, they are really good!!!

I have fond memories of coming here as a little boy and remember the pizza being my favorite. There is something about the sauce that is like no other. 30+ years later and it is still the best pizza in South Florida and maybe the entire state. The menu also does not disappoint with my favorites being the chicken parm sub and the meatball. Garlic rolls are a must and sausage and mushroom slices are my usual. The slice pies are always fresh and the quality is consistent. Same original owner since 1976. His children taking over where he left off. While the area around Steve’s has changed dramatically this place is still as I remember it. Pac man game in the back and the old wooden sign reading«you have tried the rest now try the best» which still holds true today. Steve’s Pizza forever!

The pizza here is Delicious! Pizza is always best when freshly made so make sure to order a pie to satisfy your palate. But slow down… don’t burn yourself it’s that irresistible. Their sauce has this special sweetness to it, it’s so good. I never eat the crust, but with their. Marinara sauce there was no way I wouldn’t. Even my 7 year old son exclaimed how delicious the«red sauce» is. What’s even better is that they’re open late! Until 3 am and 4am on weekends. Definitely a pro on their list. I enjoy the variety of music they play, it’s just a fun, cool place to enjoy an extraordinary deliciously pizza with a beer or Pepsi. My son decided this is our to go to pizza spot. Tables and the location is kept clean and you’ll always have Parmesan cheese and pepper readily available. The Staff is pleasant as well.

This is hands down my favorite pizza place in the world. Been coming here since around 2004. I don’t live in Miami anymore but I always make sure to hit it up when I’m in town! I always get a large meat lovers. It’s great because it literally moos when you bite into it, there is so much meat! The pie is also HUGE! The ONLY downside to Steve’s is the limited seating and parking, but I always happily wait.

I’ve been coming to Steve’s Pizza for about 16 years. In fact, at one point my picture was even on the wall! IMO Steve’s Pizza is by far one of the best(if not THE best) pizza in South Florida. I will admit that Steve’s is rough around the edges, to put it nicely. If you’re looking for great customer service or a friendly smile when you order your pie, then Steve’s Pizza is NOT for you. Don’t bother even driving by there. Let’s face it, they are there to make pizza, not be your friend. So if you’re offended by the fact that the girl at the register didn’t sing your praises when you ordered your pie then you’ve definitely walked into the wrong place. Now, if you want an amazing life-changing pizza then Steve’s is DEFINITELY for you. The sauce is sweet, the dough is PERFECT. And the pepperoni, mmm mmm mmm. I will continue coming to Steve’s for as long as they are open. And I recommend it to all my friends, with the disclosure that the customer service sucks. But that’s ok, cause the pizza is worth the eyeroll from the ladies at the register.

I never thought in a MILLON years I’d be writing a review like this for my beloved Steve’s. But i have HAD it! Ive called and complained for months and months, recieved credit after credit. But its official, you have sunken to a new low. You cant keep living off your rep. The product you are putting out is sub par Miami garbage! I wont be ordering from you for awhile. As much as it pains me. I have talked you up to everyone, and even defended you. But no more. How the hell do you send this out? This is a margherita slice? Allie, start paying attention to your business! Your competitors are catching up! Joes Old School and Kings County are passing you by. Im crushed!

This used to be one of my favorites in Miami, but lately it’s been lackluster and sort of pricey. That isn’t my problem though, the real problem is that I and a few people I know have gotten violently ill after eating here. My experience was a few years ago, but I remember it vividly. I won’t go into details but it left me in bed for a few days. I have been back only a couple of times since without incident but my friend is still recovering from her experience over the weekend, I’m not planning on going back until they learn safe food storage.
