I live in the neighborhood and gave this place a try, the food was cold and it took forever to get there. I decided to give it another chance and 1 of my plates never arrived not to mention that the paella was very dry. Do not try this place

Went here for a recent bar crawl, 9+ people in our group. Very cute décor and friendly bartenders! Estrella beer for 3 $ was awesome. However, when it came down to eating. We didn’t get to experience it. Other than a table of 2 and 4 inside and possibly two tables outside, there was not many people in the establishment. When we approached a waitress about being seated, she had to check where we could be sat due to who was on the sched and the reservations coming in(which is completely understandable). However, we were basically denied to being sat down. The inside dining was pretty small, but there were plenty of tables of outside and it seemed like no one was willing to accommodate us(a new wave of waitresses had come in shortly before. I counted at least 4⁄5 people) …(on top of the attitude given from the waitress). We were excited to try the food based on the reviews… but we had our beers and left hungry.

I recently came here during a Last Call Pub Crawl, first stop of the midtown crawl. I thought this place was very cute. It’s very cozy, very dimly light outside. They provide these awesome homemade chips at the bar, which I thought was a step up from your average bowl of peanuts. I ordered the sangria and it was quite delicious. The bartender was very nice and attentive too, although he seemed a little crazy. Maybe I’d come back. Maybe. PS: Don’t park in that«parking lot» right out front. They tow there. Park in the lot on the side of the restaurant. Waitress warned me.

I’m going to give this place 3 stars. The food is 4 star, the value is not there. I have to stress, that I’d pay almost anything for great food, but for solid food, the tapas are just a bit over priced. A lot of the tapas dishes are priced over $ 10 per plate, and that included items I’d expect to be more in the $ 7 range. When you are getting a bunch of dishes it adds up in a hurry. That being said, Tapas y Tintos is a nice place. The food is solid and the service is pretty good. The only other tapas place in the area is Sra. Martinez, which is a bit more high end($$$$). All in all if I were in the mood for tapas, I’d go to Barceloneta, which is really only 3 or 4 miles away…

This place it’s great. We went there last Friday to celebrate a friend birthday. Her husband had reserved ahead with a pre fixed menu. We were a table of 14 and had a great time. The price was $ 35 it included 5 great tapas(the patatas bravas and the garbaso beans were my favor), paella and a drink. Food was great, portions very generous and the service was fantastic. They also had a flamenco show, which did three set throughout the night. The place is in a great location with plenty of parking

I’ve been here twice and was extremely pleased. Both times our server brought us a complimentary something. Last time it was some favada and it was delicious. The meats platter is better than the cheese platter. The garbanzos with chorizos and the croquetas were sooo good. So was the paella. They also make a Sangria with Cava which was delicious, too! Oh and the Flamenco on the Friday night I went was also great

3 Stars for ambiance, 3 Stars for food, 3 Stars for live show, 3 stars for a cultural experience. Once you brave the evening rush hour traffic to get to this place and you step inside, you promptly forget the metropolis that surrounds you. Subtle lighting, strategically placed furniture in the outdoor patio and some live flamenco will transport you to those places in your mind were your good memories are stored. The food and the service are Miami generic, not quite completely authentic and not quite pleasant with a smile friendly, but passable enough to enjoy your evening with friends. Tapas & Tintos has a good thing going here, hopefully they can step it a notch and ensure that the overall experience matches the expenditure, otherwise, we may just see another enterprise occupy this corner. I am rooting for you Tapas & Tintos, remember… the devil is in the details.

Five of us spent New Year’s Eve at this restaurant. My husband and I had been here a number of times and found the tapas very reasonably priced and very tasty. The service has always been good. We therefore thought Tapas & Tintos would be a nice way to bring in the New Year! However, New Year’s eve was very disappointing! The selection of tapas was very small and they were very overpriced. This special menu was not advertised prior to New Year’s eve and we had been told that we would be able to order off the regular menu. Entrees were just OK and we would have been better off had we ordered just tapas. There was just a small crowd; the entertainment was OK, nothing special, nothing really geared to a New Year’s crowd and nothing for non-Spanish speakers! The acoustics were poor and we didn’t hear the music very well! The taped DJ music that played when the singer was not on was noisy and loud and we couldn’t hear each other speak. No place really to socialize and our friends, who came from Boca Raton, didn’t even feel that it was New Year’s eve! The party favors were very nice; our seats outside were fine, but we didn’t want to stay for coffee and dessert. All in all, disappointing in entertainment, food and service! Don’t know whether we’ll return! So many restaurants to choose from in Miami and one ends up returning to those that really make an impression!

We showed up very late and they were very accommodating. My friends did most of the choosing of tapas, but it was amazing! The squid dish was on point. Wine was very good and wasnt too much. Will be returning soon.

If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. The ambiance was great, service was solid, and the food and wine were delicious. I came here with a friend on a Thursday night for some paella & white wine. The outdoor seating is perfect … the garden-y area makes you feel like you’re somewhat secluded(rather than right next to the busy NW36th Street /2nd ave intersection). There was a live two-man band playing Mana, Los Fabulosos Cadillac, etc(loved them). Our waitress was very attentive and just really nice. Our paella was very tasty and moderately sized — definitely didn’t leave us so stuffed that we couldn’t walk — but I think that’s a good thing. I think the one area where they could use a little work is desserts. We had two different ones(almond pie and a crème brûlée type of dish) and they were okay. I will definitely be back here again and am excited to try out their happy hour!

Since I live in Midtown I decided to give these guys a shot, although I know neighbors already don’t like them because of their loud live music on the weekends. I have to agree: very annoying! Also, mixing top 40 with live Flamenco? …Really?! Food was mediocre, far from authentic, and service was S-L-O-W. Good wine selection. That’s the only star they get.

The place is okay. It was my first time going to this place for my sister’s birthday. Here are the reasons why I didn’t give them more stars: 1. They seated a party of 8 right next to the speakers – we couldn’t hear each other talk – we were placed next to the stage. That wasn’t a good idea. The speakers kinda drowned out the performance for me. 2. Waiting! Our server took forever to get our food and to give and receive our checks for the night. 3. The kitchen was backed up. I don’t understand how a kitchen can be backed up when you’re at a restaurant. Overall the place is a okay place to go. The food portions are pretty small. I wished they put pictures on the menu. The manager was nice trying to fix the situation. He brought us – twice – complimentary shots. I would probably come back, but I hope my next experience there would be way better than this time.

I’m a big fan of everything Spanish… with that said. this place has it all. Flamenco dancing, guitar playing, tapas and lots of Spanish Flavor! Visited last night for a friend’s bday dinner and had lots of fun. The performer and live band get the crowd going. Food is good and prices are reasonable. Only minus would be the service was a bit on the slow side, but they did give us complimentary shots for having to wait so I guess that was a nice gesture. Overall a good experience.

if you want tapas… yeah sure go there… nothing fancy. i went to a Unilocal event a couple of weeks ago and they gave us paella and it was not good at all. which makes me sad because paella is so yummy. the sangrías are good, i have had better, but i really cant say that they are horrible. i would just go there to have some wine or sangría and eat tapas that you cant go wrong with, like meats. the day of the event they also had some flamenco which was awesome because i havent seen a tablado since i was in spain, but i im not sure if that is every weekend, or only special events.

Sunday dinner with friends was great. Liked every tapa they brought. Next time though I will trade the sangria for bottles of wine. Sunday is salsa night so kinda loud. Ambiance would be better other nights.

If you want«authentic» i wouldn’t necessarily hit this place up, but if you want a solid bite to eat that can be a full meal or just a nibble as you enjoy a few drinks then this is the place. The service was great, the food good, particularly the croquettas. Their sangria was also nice and refreshing. Bonus: convenient location!

Pop Quiz: Q: You need to meet someone for lunch. They’re on the beach, you’re downtown. You want something laid back yet appealing and suitable for conversation, with good service and neither one of you is famished. Where do you take them? A: There are plenty of restaurants that will give fit the bill in Buena Vista, Design District, Midtown. But the latest addition to the growing group of restaurants is Tapas and Tintos Midtown. What sets it apart from some of the other choices is it’s location. Just on the edge, just on the outskirts but right in the center of it all. As for service, it’s solid. They are thoughtful and gracious. They understand hospitality but more importantly they’re just nice. Please note: There is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Don’t be like those people who risk their lives crossing a dangerous intersection. And by those people, I mean myself.

Secluded enough to be relaxing and urban enough to be accessible. Nice outdoor seating with soft lighting, ambient music… perfect for a late night glass of wine, and jamon crudo/queso iberico sampler. I think I like it better than the beach version, which has become overrun with tourists… This is the T+T for locals.
