As a «homeowner,» what do you absolutely NEED in Miami? That’s a rhetorical question, in case you weren’t aware — because I’m going to answer. You need a good AC guy. You need someone honest, intelligent, and reliable. And as I’m sure you’re aware, finding any kind of repairman in Miami with these attributes is rather difficult. Fear not, because that’s what this review is getting at. Last time I had a serious AC issue, I got Mark’s number(the Techno A/C owner) from another owner in my building, and he saved me big-time. The condenser on my building’s roof was shot, and the other company I had called wanted to replace my entire system for some absurd amount of money. Good thing I asked for a second opinion, because Mark came out, assessed the problem, and set me up with a new condenser the next day — less than half of the crazy sum the big AC company wanted. Not only did he do the job well, I didn’t even need to take off work to be there. He arranged for a crane to lift the thing up to the roof, and apparently got the job done in about a half-hour. Today, I had a more minor problem — the AC’s drainage was clogged. I call Mark, and he says he can come out in 2 hours. Perfect. Well, he actually beat his estimate and made it here a little earlier than that. After a little speedy yet thorough work, my AC’s cranking again. Impressive. I really don’t know how he manages to be so punctual and fit my appointments in so quickly — it’s not like he isn’t busy. Bottom line — and I realize I sound like fake Unilocal review 5-star ad copy here — if you’re in South Dade and have need of a true AC professional, ditch the typical scammers and unreliable idiots and look no further. And no, the name«Techno» doesn’t imply that he comes in to fix your AC with a boombox on his shoulder blaring Model 500 and Richie Hawtin. Though that would be kind of cool.
