if you are a fast food lover, don’t come here. If your best contact with cheese is a cheap grilled cheese sandwich and that’s your standard, avoid this place. If you want to spend some good time trying cheeses with homemade bread, tomato or basil pesto, honey, etc, this is for you. Or you can go, pick different options, and take it home with a piece of half cooked bread. Put that piece 10″ in the over, and you will enjoy perfect bread with amazing cheese. D’affinois with their tomato pesto and bread is an amazing treat.

As the name itself would have it– this dainty little breakfast/lunch spot prides itself on its cheese selection. With an expansive array of options, they have the perfect wine pairings to go with it. I have come here for lunch on 3 separate occasions and will admit the wait is a little long. But they do have a sign that says all their food is made to order only using the freshest ingredients– so please be patient. I have tried the broccoli cheddar as well as the Black Forest ham sandwich. You can do a cup of soup and half a sandwich for a little over $ 10. The reason I love this spot is because of the combination of their Black Forest ham sandwich– with Brie, raspberry cranberry relish and greens– it is absolutely delicious. I do intend on coming back to pick up cheese and a bottle of wine in the future.

Whats wrong with people… I wouldn’t really listen to these people. Yes if you come in lunch time it takes a little long like everywhere else but you can prevent that, don’t go anywhere between 12 – 1:30 in downtown. Well now i can continue with my review… I love this place the food is great, The MUSHROOM soup is a most(is AMAZING) the portion are fear for the price. For $ 10 you can get half of a soup and half of a sandwich or salad. The people are super nice and if you don’t know what to order they can recommend what to eat. I have come to this place at least 4 time in the pass month and i have no complains. i love how they have cheese on the side that you can try …

Waited in line 20 minutes and then waited another 20 minutes for the order to go. Complained to manager. He didn’t seem to care. Don’t eat here if you’re limited on time.

The sandwiches are out of this world good! I go frequently because I work in the same building, I recommend the Prosciutto and the Serrano ham, also the soups are delicious and the salads are huge. They always use extremely fresh ingredients and their service is great.

LOVE the roasted beet salad — although they could be more generous with the beets, now that I think of it. Super convenient location, staff/owner have been nice, but DONOTGOHEREIFYOU’REPRESSEDFORTIME! I came during a busy lunch rush and waited 20+ mins for my to-go order(intentionally ordering a cold, meatless salad so it would be quick — theoretically!). Now I am the only patron at 10am and have been waiting 15mins for the same cold salad. So much potential to be a 5-star spot!

I would like to begin by saying how disappointed I am to be giving this place a negative review. I have been looking forward to getting to try the entire menu and becoming a daily customer, as I have just moved into my condo directly across the street. We saw this spot last night, downloaded the app and planned our lunch there for today. I would give zero stars, however that is not an option. Sadly, I can not review the food here because when I went in, initially thinking it was closed at 1pm, I was not able to order any food. There were two ladies at a table to the back left enjoying their afternoon and no one was behind the counter. After a little confusion and uncertainty the ladies got up and went behind the counter. To my astonishment they were the employees. Not at any given moment did they make this clear until they went behind the counter with their backs still to me. I was not ever told hello or welcome but instead felt like I interrupted their day. I was going to order anyway just to break the awkward silence, then the younger lady turned around and made eye contact with me to what I can only assume to be her way of asking me what I wanted. At this point my boyfriend was so frustrated, as was I, he said he did not feel comfortable eating there. There was never a point where we felt as if we were even remotely welcome to order and try the food. Needless to say, no apologies were offered, when we left the lady responded, «good.» I won’t be back because I feel like based off the employees the food would’ve been thrown together if not spit on. The only reason this review can compensate one star is because it was clean inside and looks like a very nice establishment with great potential. I am also still interested in the menu and will try to find something similar because it’s a great concept.

Worst run franchised CTC. Do yourself and favor and head north to the midtown location to save yourself the frustration and enjoy your meal. They don’t even answer the phones here, after numerous attempts of being hung up on and calling back again, in a vicious cycle, which is essential for a location in the middle of Miami CBD when you are in a rush in the middle of your workday and you are trying to just run in and pick up your preordered food and get back to work. Who has that kind of time?! Let me preface this by stating that I have been going to the original location, in Weston since its inception in 2000(15 years), where I frequented, since it was next to my orthodontist, dentist, and hair salon. Every time I went, I was greeted by the owner where she would immediately distract you while you were waiting by having either herself or another employee educate you on cheese while you were waiting for your food. You were then given free samples and your food was checked, by the owner, to make sure that it was perfection. As someone who is obsessed with cheese, I would give up meat easily and go back to being vegetarian with cheese as my staple, but that diet is no longer acceptable according to my internist. This is why I have always loved this concept, I am a cheese-o-holic and I must’ve been a mouse in a former life, CTC is my sanctuary. When the midtown location opened, followed by the Aventura location, and then the downtown location, I was naturally ecstatic as I have moved back to Miami after college. I soon learned that these locations were franchised(Downtown and Aventura same owners, Midtown a different owner) BUT no one had to tell me that, it was OBVIOUS. You immediately were able to tell the difference in energy of the operation, no warm fuzzies that love was put into your food, the plating was sloppy, the service, nonexistent. Listen, I am the first one to be happy, when a concept, that I have stayed loyal to, for so many years, has really taken off. It’s like I was part of the beginning of CTC’s life and now it’s flourished, my experience at this location, just left me feeling extremely sad and disappointed. If you can’t get to the original CTC in Weston, you are better off at Midtown location(the best, by a landslide, of the 3 franchised locations). There is a reason that the midtown location has over 300 reviews and 4.5 stars and this location only has 8, majority being terrible and the one five star review by a extremely reliable source, an anonymous person! Sad, sad, sad…

A cute little shop in downtown. I was excited to try this place since it’s located half a block from work. I ordered the grilled cheese — with brie, and chips. I expected way better for a place that emphasizes cheese. The bread was mediocre, very hard baguette and there wasn’t much cheese on the baguette. I think Panera serves better grilled cheese than this place. I wouldn’t try again.

I was very excited when Cheese Course graced the downtown lunch scene, however, over the past few months I’ve definitely fallen out of love with the establishment. I order essentially the exact same thing, the soup and salad combo, upgrade the soup to a bowl. I typically call it in for pickup. The last 8 out of 10 orders have gone a little something like this. .. I request and pay for the upgraded bowl of soup, but when I receive my order and reach into the bag, I’m unpleasantly surprised with the cup. The first time it happened, I was already in my office. Luckily, I’ve learned from my mistake and check my bag on the spot. Sadly, I’m not alone. Several co-workers have complained about the same scenario. In addition, I’ve noticed the price for the exact same order is never the same. Unfortunately, Cheese Course will no longer be a part of my lunch rotation.

The Cheese Course Downtown Miami is my go-to for all my OFFICECATERING. They offer sandwich platters, salad platters, cheese platters and amazing cupcakes! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which makes them a great choice for a casual business meeting or a break from a hectic day at work. Thursday night offers wine specials for $ 9/bottle or $ 3/glass making this an awesome choice for taking some time with your friends after work. My FAVORITESANDWICH is #14 apple-wood bacon w/goat Gouda, tomatoes, avocado, rosemary aioli, and greens, served warm. My FAVORITESALAD is #21 french field greens w/fresh goat cheese, dried cranberries, mustard-shallot vinaigrette, and fresh french baguette. Or #27 roasted beet salad w. fresh goat cheese, sliced oranges, strawberries, pine nuts, greens, honey-tarragon vinaigrette, and fresh french baguette. My FAVORITESOUP is #31 broccoli cheddar w/cheddar cheese, broccoli, and cream; topped with grated cheddar and crispy croutons. And don’t forget the CHEESECOURSES! They have gazillions of cheeses from all around the world and will help you make some great choices to pair with accompaniments, fresh french baguette and wine!

When I saw the signage over the windows at the now open Cheese Course Downtown I think I actually screamed, «THEREIS A GOD!!!». I work by the Pinecrest Cheese Course and could not be happier that there is now one just blocks from my apartment. The sandwiches are consistently good and they have yet to mess up one of my orders(I am the queen of modifications). They also recently decided to open on Saturdays, which is great for us downtown residents with limited options on the weekends. ******WARNING***** it gets crowded during the lunchtime rush on weekdays. I recommend calling in your order ahead of time(as I did today). It is usually ready within 15 minutes and you are able to avoid waiting in line salivating over everything coming out of the kitchen. Go to sandwiches include the #4, #5, #7, and #11

They are more interested in answering the phone and taking phone orders than helping the people standing in front of them. Can’t comment on the food since I couldn’t get any

The Cheese Course is FINALLY open in Downtown! I’ve been patiently awaiting the opening of these doors for the better part of 2 years now, and let me tell you — so have many of the Downtown worker bees! Most of us are familiar with The Cheese Course from their various other locations around SoFla. They offer wines and cheese by themselves, soups, salads, sandwiches, and cheese plates, and even breakfast! The Downtown location is only open during the work week, and opens early to get your breakfast fix in before hitting the office, if that’s your thing. The location is small, but they still manage to squeeze in about 6 two-person tables and a big farmhouse-style table, as well as numerous cases stocked to the brim with cheese, wine, and assorted fixings. Prices are incredibly reasonable — $ 10(without tax) will get you a sandwich or salad, or a half of either with some soup. Cheese plates run a bit more expensive. Even shortly after opening, The Cheese Course’s staff is on point. They kept the lines moving, kept the tables clear to assist with the volume of customers, and had smiles on their faces the whole time. Welcome to Downtown, Cheese Course!
