Staff very courteous and Danielle extremely welcoming. Ambience and lighting nice, tables a little tight but we don’t mind if food is worth it. However, our entrees were not impressive. Pappardelle special was just OK, pappardelle with marinara was a bit overcooked and sauce was just salty, not tasty. Same with lasagna. I like food on salty side, but everything was generally over salted. Carbonara was greasy and not delicious. Everything was overpriced, including the house wine. Wine list wasn’t great. Waiters should be trained to know what the actual house wine label is, instead of just saying it’s a Cabernet or Merlot, etc. This happens in many restaurants and it’s just a training point. I truly wish we had loved this restaurant so we would want to return, especially because it’s so quaint, but it’s just not worth it for the price. If you’re not too picky, you’ll probably be more satisfied than we were.

My husband and I happened to wander into this little hidden gem this evening. What an incredible surprise. So glad we did! I’m very keen on food quality and service, and unfortunately it’s very difficult to find both in one restaurant. I felt like I was sitting in a restaurant somewhere in Italy. The staff was on point and extremely attentive. I had the beef carpaccio, while my husband had the chicken Marsala. Both did not disappoint! My carpaccio was so fresh and delicious and my husband’s very generous Marsala dish was just as amazing. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place!

This lovely restaurant gets 5 stars from me and I’ll tell you why. First; I was taken to trattoria Luna for a birthday dinner I had. As a first timer, I had no expectations. But, since the moment I walked through the door to the moment I stepped out, the service was amazing! The staff was very inviting, polite and attentive. The place is small, so they make sure to leave appropriate distance so it doesn’t feel like they are part of your conversation, if you know what I mean. Second; The ambience was very delightful. If you enjoy quiet, romantic and small Italian-esque places you’ll love trattoria Luna. I recommend going for dinner to get the best little ‘Italiano’ restaurant experience. Now, Let’s talk food! I had the ‘Mezzelune de zucca’ which was a pumpkin stuffed ravioli with a pink sauce, that was amazingly delicious. It easily became one of my favorite Italian dishes. I paired my entrée with a glass of Pinot noir, which was a very tasty compliment to the pasta. I really look forward to returning and trying the several dishes this great place has to offer!

I never think to come to this restaurant, but my parents love it and I enjoy it every time I come. My mom and I decided to split the special — Salmon mustard sauce with scallops. Yum! They brought it out on two plates so we didn’t have to split it ourselves. I thought that was so nice of them. The dish was a perfect portion of salmon and it came with vegetables and a few potatoes. I couldn’t even finish the whole thing! The waiter was on point with the drink refills and very attentive. They were also good about offering fresh ground pepper and cheese before we started eating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I love this place! It’s small and intimate. The staff treats you like your that special family member that was eagerly awaited. The food is always on mark. I’m a picky eater and have a ‘safe’ meal I always order in most of the places I go. Not so with Trattoria. I have asked for almost all the dishes on the menu and I’ve loved all of them. It’s also a great place to celebrate special occasions. I’ve hosted baby showers there, been there for birthdays and my husband even purposes there. The staff are the best!!!

Came on on a Sunday night, lots of empty tables and felt like we were an imposition. We had water, 2 entrees and split one salad and it was $ 75 with tip. The salad was good — pear and gorgonzola. Really good. It ended there — I ordered chicken parm that looked like it had been frozen and heated in a microwave with the same texture. This cannot have been fresh made. The veggies were pretty good and it also came with some sort of fried potato. Years ago this restaurant was beyond amazing. We hadn’t been in awhile and probably won’t go back …

You can’t beat their specials. I have been going there for eight years and usually three times a week. I never ask for the menu. I just pick either the pasta, fish, or meat special of the day. Wine list is limited but very reasonable. I grew upItalian so I know great Italian when I taste it. Make this a must on your dining out list. BTW. The waiters speak Italian. Makes for some fun experiences.

This is my favorite Italian Restaurant in all the land! It’s tiny, quaint, and very romantic. Valentine’s Day has got me thinking about another visit here. This place makes me feel like I’m at an actual trattoria in Italy, sitting down for a delicious meal after a long day of seeing the sights and history of Italy in person. It’s probably one of the most authentic Italian places you’ll find in Miami. Service here has always been incredible. Even if it wasn’t, I’d probably still keep coming back because the food is just THATGOOD. My 2 favorite dishes: Linguine Frutti de Mare, because it’s a giant feast of every delicious sea creature. Shrimp. Mussels. Clams. Scallops. Fish. Swimming in a bowl of linguine goodness. Fettucine Carbonara, because it’s so rich and creamy, and well… bacony. Pancetta at its best! It’s the best cheat meal ever. Finish off with some profiteroles for dessert, and you’re going to be rolling out of there ready to pass out into the most amazing carb coma you ever had. Make sure you make reservations for dinner, the place gets crowded FAST.

I went this evening with a group of friends and I must say the restaurant has a wonderful ambience. The food was quite enjoyable with well prepared specials. It would of been a wonderful all around restaurant but their service did them in. Our waiter jabbed with his elbow at least a couple of times and never excused himself. I took sometime to review the menu as this had been my first time their and he actually criticized me. He told everyone in the table that if I did not make up my mind he could not put in our order. I mean this is a small mom and pop sort of place. Towards the end of my meal our waiter refilled my water glass and he actually stepped on me. Again, he never apologized. I felt that he was definitely deficient in the manners department. I would probably go again but it may take me a long time.

Took the family out to dinner tonight, arrived at the restaurant at 8:30pm and asked for a table of 5. The restaurant was half empty and they actually looked annoyed that we were there. After about 10 minutes(no kidding, 10 minutes), they sat us down. Long story short, service was mediocre at best, asked for water, soda, wine(by the way very over priced), about 3 times before they brought us 1 glass. Food was OK, we all ordered pasta dishes(supposedly there speciality) and thank goodness for salt/pepper and grated Parmesan cheese…, if not I probably would have been better off eating the table napkin. Don’t waste your time coming, way to manny better Italian restaurants in Miami to spend time or money here.

Good food, but seriously overpriced. Two salads and two glasses of house red ran the bill up to $ 52 and change, including tip. Great service though.

Overpriced for the quality of food(I’ve eaten better Italian at chain restaurants), and full of stale Pier 1 Imports décor. Went on a Saturday night and service took forever, and seating is tight. I could hear everything the table next to us was saying. Not the worst place to dine, but not the best. I would have rather spent my cheat meal on pizza and beer elsewhere.

I travel a lot. I seek out Italian food when I travel. I have not had such good Italian food since Calzone’s in «the city»(check out my review). I cannot believe that this place was not busier, it was not late. I am on an expense account or I would have ordered a lot more food. Starters were some bread with butter and some bruschetta, very nice touch. I would have ordered the Caprese but it was a little higher than I like and would have blown my budget. So I just ordered the Lasagne, it was simple and had their bolognese on it, and so I tried that with their normal«pink» sauce. I have never had a lasagne as light as this, normally a lasagne is a gut buster but this was as light as cake. It was hot out of the oven(why it probably took a little longer to come out of the kitchen), and looked great. I asked and they do prepare their own pasta on premise«pasta fatta in loco» — there is a difference and you can tell on the first bite. Miami — you have a gem here, this place should be packed. Service was excellent. Atmosphere very… italian — very nice.

Trattoria Luna is, hands down, our go-to local Italian place. The food is honest, delicious, high quality and the menu offers something for everyone. The service is professional and helpful and you really feel like you are in that great neighborhood trattoria that every neighborhood wishes they had. I can definitely recommend all of the pastas, their fish entrees are also really good. We usually stick with the chalkboard specials — never a dud there. Lastly, they offer takeout, which is packaged perfectly to take home, including the bread and butter that you would have had in the restaurant!

It’s hard to be a fancy Italian restaurant in the middle of a strip mall. They don’t have a large extensive menu but it is pretty decent. I had the pasta with seafood(it goes by a much fancier name, lol) and it was really good. The best part was the sauce which really made everything very delicious. Overall it is a solid Italian restaurant that is a bit overpriced and in a awkward location.

Popped in here on a rainy Sunday seeking shelter from the storm. And food in my belly. The place was dead — we were the only ones there for about 30 minutes, which was creepy. Actually, we were accompanied by the wait staff who were watching the Copa America game on the flatscreen — I guess people must gather here for games or something when Italy is playing, you rarely see TV’s in quaint Italian places. This place is really cute — very rustic Italian feel. The staff is very nice and attentive — we’ve had nothing by crappy customer service lately so anyone who serves us and is nice is a breath of fresh air. We ordered the grilled polenta with mushrooms, which was very garlicky but delicious. The polenta was so yummy — so soft but crispy on the outside from the grilling. We shared the gnocchi in pesto and the chicken parm. Both were phenomenal — the plates were huge so we took some home, which was equally delicious the day after. We also shared a capucino and the tiramisu, which rocked my socks. It was very creamy but also very light — it was perfect. We’ll probably go back for that alone.
